What’s the process of getting a divorce in the uk. The couple got married in Nigeria but living in the uk. One is on student visa while the other is on tier 2 at the moment. None of them is visa dependent on the other at this point in time. No kids as well. Thanks

thank you. Thinking student visa should be better ?
Easiest and faster way to enter the uk if you have the resources.......... All those visit visa doesn’t pay young people especially if your financial ground isn’t solid. If you like let your whole family be British citizens, they still won’t give you. Talking from personal experience!!!

Your stance on this issue is really not clear.

What @ OmamedeRex was postulating was that one should not let the visa officers think that one intends to remain in the UK after studies. This is clearly a requirement when applying for Canadian study visa for example, even though majority of those who get Canada study permit go on to become permanent residents. Otherwise, one's study permit application will be refused.

Now, for the UK, will it be best for your application to indicate you have no intention to remain in the UK after studies or not?
And @HYFR007, this has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with being a genuine student or not. Because the funds to study is completely available, and there's every intention to focus and complete the study.
I don’t know what else to say again. Justwise should handle this case.

Some of you here wants to be spoonfed.

What if one is asked such question as:
1. What are your plans after your studies.
2. What do you intend to do after you finish your course?
3. How will this course benefit your future aspirations?
4. How do your studies fit into your career plans?
Etc
Pls note that these are sample interview questions provided by two different schools.

So how best can one answer such questions in order not to jeopardize one's visa chances?
these are straight forward questions and any intending student that cant give answers to such questions is not a genuine student.

Paragraph 245AA (b) state that if the case working officer don't understand a particular document or if some information on it is missing the ECO should contact the applicant B4 making final decision even on the refusal they said the statement came back positive.
Can you post the exact refusal note?

It's not a myth. If an applicant lies that he/she has no relatives in the UK and UKVI finds out that the person actually lied, it counts as deception and non-disclosure of important information which automatically leads to a refusal. This is because it implies that the applicant lied so as not to be seen as a high-risk applicant with no plans to return to Nigeria after the reason for the visa is concluded.
It's better to declare that you've got relatives in the UK in the appropriate application section.
You clearly do not understand my question. Let me rephrase it in clear terms;

Why do some applicants that have relatives in the uk think/believe that their application would be refused if they declare their relatives.

Therefore, it is incorrect (false) to say that an applicant can’t use a partners bank account as pof.

Old rule: dependants cannot switch to student visa while in the uk. You must return to home country.

Updated/New rule: dependants can switch to student visa while in the uk.

Yet one unruly person here is claiming old rules cannot be termed as false.

Las las everyone go dey alright. cheesy

it's not False they just update the rules and most people don't know about the new rules at the moment.

Instead of saying false you should say it has been updated.
What are you saying? So an old rule is right.

The guy said Nel11 can’t use his bank account as pof for his wife and I said that’s false and backed it up with a screenshot from the uk gov website and you are here quoting me. Stay off my mention. I see your comments here and you are not one I would like to have a chat with.

OK, thanks. But won't the job be for only two years, or do you have to keep renewing / extending your stay after every 2 years or what? huh
Go to the uk gov website and read on skilled worker visa formerly known as Tier 2 (general) visa. You will have a broad knowledge on your enquiry.

So the only way for one to get around it is to keep reapplying for Masters or PhD to make up the years, right? huh
Waste of money. Besides i think there is even a limit on how many years one can be on a student visa.

Also if u keep reapplying for masters or phD with the aim to meet the 10 years long residency, once home office finds out, your visa can be curtailed.

Meaning the 10 years route is possible but it all depends on the applicants situation/case. You can’t say for sure how it can be achieved in a particular way.
