Saraki can be summarised as one that betrays his friend to his friend's enemy to gain and then turn around to betray his friend's enemy not for the gain of his former friend but for sympathy. People like Saraki don't last long politically.

Coming to you, Tinubu is very direct. He's either for you or against you. He's ready to be for you if you play by his game. He's ready to be against you if otherwise. Pure politics!
What happened in March 28, the SS and SE were angry because Tinubu used his media against Jonathan, but again they will always welcome someone like Tinubu if he(BAT) is willing to work for their interest and ofcourse they must concede to his own request.

But Saraki? Oh he is cunning. The people of SS/SE cannot trust such a person. Saraki was a champion of Northern candidate within the PDP in 2011 and also was among the nPDP rascals that were opposed to GEJ's re-election. The SS/SE aren't so foolish my brother.

Personally, I believe that the PDP, SS and SE need smart and articulate politician in the mould of Tinubu to emerge from amongst us (but less corrupt one too). However, we don't wish for someone like Saraki. People like Saraki are best used and dumped (which I want PDP, SS and SE to do
If u are talking about betrayal tinubu is nt free
Those that fought d battle for AD to retain lagos. Where are most of them today,?
Or d numerous politicians he had reduced just to have his way?
Jonathan couldn't protect dia interest mind u d likes of Saraki were influential(Even though he was rumoured to be against GEJ getting the acting President position) to emergence of Jonathan more than tinubu, Tinubu machinery can't defeat pdp"s as at then expect in lagos and osun
When jona can't protect their interest they left him for where their interest can be accommodated
He later tru his ambition help pdp (SE) to clinch the Deputy Senate President, he can as well say he won't contest if pdp can't support him without dsp tickets

Without any heavyweight politicians mobilising for tinubu or Saraki, Saraki can lay claim to have more further d interest of ss/se than tinubu
Saraki can claim tru pdp I help deliver ilorin(he later force us out) , gave SE dsp ticket and the juicy positions In waiting

Tinubu can only claim that I support ur son In 2011
And a structure that will deliver SW

If tinubu /Saraki ticket emerge today expect tinubu woo movers in SS/SE to his Syd

Saraki will floor him
Even d social media thingy shows where the ball will end up

Where was his media prowess to foil this

If you put Saraki and Tinubu, I tell you Saraki will be flogged in the SE and SS beyond mercy. You seem not to understand that in the area of bigotry, Saraki hated GEJ since 2007 simply because GEJ isn't a Northerner. In the area of betrayal/treachery what Saraki did to GEJ in less than 6years is worse than what any other politician has suffered since 1999. In terms of performance Bukola Saraki is a failure at best. Did Saraki "give" Ekweremadu DSP position? No! He had no choice but to bend to PDP demand for DSP otherwise he would have lost the contest in a woeful manner. PDP gave Ekweremadu.

Do you think Saraki is even loved in the SS/SE regions? I supported Saraki for SP simply because I needed to alter APC calculation and not because I love Saraki. Saraki had even wanted fellow Northerner Ali Ndume to be his DSP but for PDP insistence on Sen Ike Ekweremadu. In 2019, PDP will field a sensible candidate and not Saraki nor his kind.
But ss/se will gladly vote tinubu
That openly rubbish GEJ and headline his return back to otuoke?

Federal Character is meant to give equal representation. Already all states are given 3 slots in the Senate (in line with federal character). Whoever the Senators decide to choose to lead them has nothing with Federal Character. In fact, it is even possible for all leaders to come from a particular region. What guides them is Senate rules. It is not Saraki to determine, the majority of APc in the Senate determines that.
This letter by the party is in compliance with the expressed wish and mandate of the majority members of the All Progressives Congress APC CAUCUS in the House of Representatives.

There is nothing with federal character, Its strictly an Internal party affair. The party is the majority. If they like they can make all their position to one state or even family

A MAJORITY leader is chosen strictly by the party that has the MAJORITY in the house.

What if APC has no rep from 2 or 3 regions in the country while they are still the MAJORITY so how would Federal character come into it?

E.g When ACN was the minority party and it didnt have any senator from like 3 zones, How did it fill the posts that are designated for minority party?

Politics › House Crisis: APC Lawmakers Vow To Ensure Speaker Dogara Obeys Party by HzRF(op): 8:25am On Jun 27, 2015
Some members of the All Progressives Congress in the House of Representatives have vowed to ensure the position of the party on the choice of principal officers in the House prevails.
The lawmakers made this known at a press conference after the House descended into chaos Thursday.
Nasiru Zango Daura, a member representing Zango/Baure Federal constituency of Katsina State, spoke on behalf of the lawmakers.
Fracas erupted in the House following agitation by the lawmakers that the party’s nominees for key leadership positions be upheld.
The National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, had in a letter to the Speaker, Takubu Dogara, nominated Femi Gbajabiamila as House Leader, Alhassan Doguma as Deputy House Leader, Mohammed Monguno as Chief Whip and Parry Iriase as Deputy Whip.
However, when the House resumed sitting Thursday, the Speaker called on the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Rules and Business, Orke-Jeff Immanuel, to move a motion to that effect, and that the House dissolve into executive session.
Mr. Dogara had hardly finished speaking when Balarabe Salame, a member from Sokoto State, raised a point of order.
This however set the pace for some of the lawmakers to move towards the mace apparently suspecting that there would be attempt to take it away.
Consequently the members struggled to seize the mace thereby forcing the Sergeant- at-Arms to smuggle it out of the chamber.
As members, who wanted the party’s views on the matter respected chorused “APC”, others loyal to Mr. Dogara shouted “Dogara”.
Also, the Peoples Democratic Party members of the House were responding with “APC shame”.
Explaining the reason for the rancorous session, Mr. Daura [Katsina State], who spoke on behalf of the lawmakers loyal to the APC leadership, said it was a reaction to Mr. Dogara’s disregard for the party and wishes of the majority of its members in the House.
He said majority of the APC lawmakers were in support of Mr. Gbajabiamila emerging the House Leader.
He said, “The action that occurred inside the chamber of the House of Representatives was in reaction to the illegal and unconstitutional action taken by Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives, an action in his usual tradition of total disregard for the wishes of the majority members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus, the Party itself and the spirit of the Party.
“We are aware of a letter sent by our Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) dated 23rd June 2015 conveying the approval of the Party’s Principal Officers vis a vis the APC House Leader, the APC Chief Whip, the APC Deputy House Leader and the APC Deputy Chief Whip for the House of Representatives.
“This letter by the party is in compliance with the expressed wish and mandate of the majority members of the All Progressives Congress APC Caucus in the House of Representatives.
“This action of the party and the APC House Caucus is in compliance with the Nigerian Constitution, the House Rules and Parliamentary tradition, practices and precedents in Nigeria and all over the World,” said Mr.Daura, flanked by scores of other APC lawmakers.
Continuing, he said, “But to our surprise and in breach of our privilege and rights as contained in the Constitution and extant House Rules, Mr. Speaker refused to read the letter from our party.
“The speaker and deputy speaker are not party principal officers but are House of Representatives presiding officers and by precedent and practice are expected to provide a level playing ground for all members, while the party’s principal officers are supposed to be the main advocates for their individual party positions.
“The speaker and the deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives are elected by all members of the House of Representatives irrespective of party affiliation and it is also possible under our extant rules for a speaker and his deputy to be elected from a minority/opposition party in the National Assembly.
“Therefore, Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the the House of Representatives are elected by all members of the House of Representatives irrespective of party affiliation and it is also possible under our extant rules for a speaker and his deputy to be elected from a minority/opposition party in the National Assembly.
“Therefore, Speaker Yakubu Dogara of the House of Representatives cannot under extant Laws and House rules appoint, choose, select, dictate or even provide guidance on how party principal officers emerge or are elected or selected. That responsibility and authority lies with each party and party’s caucus members in the House.
“If I may ask, is Speaker Yakubu Dogara empowered to do that for the PDP House Caucus?”
PREMIUM TIMES reliably gathered that the lawmakers, who want the party’s view respected, had planned a showdown with the speaker’s supporters.
The source, a lawmaker, said if Mr. Dogara had his way at the expense of the party, APC would become “opposition” in its own government.
“Of the 10 members that constitute the House leadership, four will be from PDP, should those that are not loyal to the party emerge, it means APC is an opposition. Of course, he is saying the party should take two of the four principal offices due to APC. Even at that it follows, APC has just two persons in the House leadership, while PDP and Dogara have eight because there is no difference between them,” the source said.
Monguno Forgoes Chief Whip Position
Meanwhile, Mr. Monguno, who was nominated by the APC leadership to clinch the position of Chief Whip, has stepped down from the race.
A member of the House, Parry Iriase from Edo State, disclosed this on Thursday.
He said the action was taken “graciously” by Mr. Monguno, who hails from Borno State, to ensure unity in the caucus.
Mr. Iriase is expected to take the position of Chief Whip if the party’s directive prevails.
PDP caucus blast APC leadership and Reps
The Peoples Democratic Party members in the House of Representatives lambasted the APC over the events of Thursday.
Leo Ogor spoke on behalf of the PDP members.
“A very embarrassing and unpleasant action took place from the APC group. They decided to take laws into their hands, turned the House upside down and went as far as even carrying the mace which is the symbol of authority.
“Today became like a wasted day because motions that were supposed to have been taken that border on matters of national urgent importance that affect our constituencies. A host of other issues we were unable to take them due to the unacceptable action that you saw on the floor of the house,” Mr. Ogor said.
He appealed to the APC members to always respect rules and due in their actions however the situation.
“I want to appeal specifically to the leadership of APC that there clear processes in addressing issues, this approach will not solve any problem. They have crisis within their own party, they should be able to resolve it than bring it to the green chamber.
“I find what happened today very embarrassing and if this is the kind of leadership and change they are trying to bring to Nigerians, we are not going to accept this modality of change,” he added.
“It is in our collective interest that we respect the principles of democracy
In every democracy, the majority will always have their way and the minority will have their say. When elections were conducted, that election was very transparent and Dogara emerged.
“As a speaker he is no more a speaker of APC. He is speaker of the House of Representatives. He is guided by the 1999 constitution and our oath of allegiance stipulates very clearly that we will respect the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without fear or favour,” he said.
However, in a statement, the Ad hoc committee of the House on media apologised to Nigerians for the rowdy session.

Politics › Tribunal Sacks Edo APC Lawmake by HzRF(op): 7:57am On Jun 27, 2015
The Edo State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Benin, on Friday, upturned the election of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Yakubu Gowon, as the lawmaker representing Etsako West II constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.

Gowon had been declared as the winner of the April 11 state Assembly polls and returned elected by the Independent National Electoral Commission to represent the constituency, where Governor Adams Oshiomhole hails from.

But in the judgement, Justice E. Abuua, held that the APC candidate was not duly nominated by his party.

The tribunal explained that the APC’s notice of intention to hold party primaries, which was sent to INEC, arrived in less than the mandatory 21 days.

It said that the notice was given on November 13, 2014, while the primaries were conducted on December 1, 2014. The tribunal, therefore, held that all the votes cast for the APC candidate were wasted and that the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Sylvanus Eriagha, who was the first runner up with 4,001 votes, was the rightful person to be declared the winner of the poll.

Reacting to the judgement, the state Chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, described the decision of the tribunal as a ”sweet victory” for the party, which he said would keep “hope alive for the people.”

But the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Godwin Erhahon, said that all the candidates of the party were duly nominated. He, however, added that the party’s legal team would look into the judgement.

Erhahon said, “We will leave the turnout to our legal teams; for now, we do not have the details.”

Dear OP this quote already seals it. No party can impose without of consent of majority members. The Principal officers were nominated by the APC and sent to the Senate. The proper thing for Saraki to do is to read the letter and let the majority APC members deceide whether to tow the party or not but traditionally, the party usually have their way because those offices are partisan as they are and not neutral. Anyway, if the 59 APC Senator had voted against it, it would hav neen different. What we had was Saraki creating his own format and illegally telly a regional caucus to select party majority leader on behalf of ALL 59 Senators without the consent of members. This is not so in any sane parliament. Not even in the United States of America.

Th Majority leader is the leader of all members of apc in the Senate and it has nothing to do with Senate's independence. In fact, the position is one that protects party interest.
D Federal character law reduce the effect of these law

Politics › Party Suprememacy Over NASS Independency? My Option by HzRF(op): 6:27pm On Jun 26, 2015
As tussle for the (maybe remaining) leadership positions in the Senate keeps lingering,The supporters of the players in the battle for the souls of Leadership of the 8th Assembly has been torn between PARTY SUPREMEMACY and NASS INDEPENDENCY.
While some believes that it's the party responsibilities to choose the leaders even some still acknowledge the fact that NASS is a separate arm of government while still affirming the party suprememacy over NASS. While the other has continue to vehemently state that the affairs of the NASS is solely for the NASS members all in the bid to prove the legality of their ambition which odds favour to be a personal one

I am proud to be among those who believes NASS INDEPENDENCY shouldn't be toyed with as the Constitution clearly stated that "it's a separate arm of government with its own rules and regulations" which members are expected to align with completely
Over the years (tradition) it's the party that choose/select /impose whomsoever it wants and it will be an act of hypocrisy if a party that continually scream "era of impunity is over" "the rule of law will nw be given its due respect " to continue to exert undemocratic force on the NASS even to the point our lawmakers came to plenary session armed with placards protesting and turning a hallowed Chamber into the popular oshodi
The party responsibilities is to field members of great impetus, gifted with what it takes to rep their various constituency and should be able to vouch that any of it's ranking members can independently and successfully preside over the activities of the NASS
Maybe APC don't believe in the current leaders of NASS or the selfish ambition of few is the cause of the cacophony state the NASS is,the blame should be on them for not only be a bad manager but also giving out party tickets for those they can't hand over the NASS Leadership to and goto sleep believing no problem

The Principal officers of NASS is another "show of power" between those who believes in PARTY SUPREMEMACY and NASS INDEPENDENCY. Quoting from Order 28 (1): “There shall be a Majority Leader of the Senate. The Majority Leader shall be a senator nominated from the party with the highest number of senators.
FROM the party not BY the party
Federal character is another law guiding the allocations of Leadership positions in the country. (personally this is one of the laws that must be amended or totally abolished)but until then it's part of the laws that must be aligned with and must not be broken under any guise if it's becoming(which actually is) a clog in the wheel of progress let the lawmakers ammend it with immediate alacrity. This therefore gave the cacauses produced under the party with members believed to be credible to choose from them 1 member that have got what it takes to take the mantle of the position allocated to the geo-political zone they hail from

NOTE :the party Chairman of any whatsoever party has no privilege to write Senate President and speaker on whom to declare Presiding officers. It's the duty of the cacauses

If the NASS can start operating on their own it's a great feat for our country. If ambition to lead the NASS is towing the path of the law it's something we should celebrate. And the ball will be in our court to send only competent Reps and senators to rep us

God bless Nigeria
Happy Ramadan to all my muslims brothers and sisters

Watching the APC caucus of distinguished Senators and Honorable Members of House of Representatives was a shame to behold on Thursday June 26, 2015. It was a shame that the ruling party couldn't put their act in order. More painful is that the incompetence of the ruling party is having effect on the Nigeria State. Here are some observations...

1. SP Saraki and Speaker Dogara Are Naïve, Arrogantly and Ignorant
The positions of Senate and House Leaders and their deputies, and the Chief Whips and their deputies are not appointive offices. It has never been heard in any parliament that the presiding officer determines who occupies these principal offices. For the record, the Majority leader is supposed to be a core party loyalist. He is the primary link between his party and members of the party in the parliament, the majority leader schedules business on the floor by calling bills from the calendar and keeps members of his party advised about the daily legislative program. The Chief Whip is also supposed to be a core party man that enforced discipline on erring party members that conducts themselves against the interests of the party in the parliament. By tradition, the majority party chooses the Majority leader, Chief Whip, Deputy Leader and Deputy whip, while members of the party in the parliament ratify. If the APC says they want Lawan as Senate Leader and Gbajabiamila as House Leader, all that has to be done is for the APC members of the Senate and the House respectively to either ratify the names sent to them by the party leadership or they (members) elect who they want. For SP Saraki and Speaker Dogora to insist on a particular pattern that is not acceptable to majority of their party parliamentarians shows that both men are arrogantly naive. This can't be accepted in any democracy, and accepting it will set a bad precedent for this country.

2. Saraki And APC Have Done Nigeria A Great Disservice
Senator Ali Ndume was indicted in November 2011 to have link with BH. The arrested BH Spokesman Ali Konduga had maintained that Sen Ndume had paid him to send threatening text messages http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-15829203. There are call evidence of Ali Ndume's phone exchange with Boko Haram which the undistinguished Senator admitted after it was extracted by an agent from the Israeli based Digital Forensic http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/12/court-admits-fresh-evidence-linking-ndume-to-boko-haram/. As at the time of the election, Senator Ndume was facing Terrorism trial. Instead of APC to give their ticket to competent hand they gave it to the same Ali Ndume. He was elected thanks to the change propaganda and became a Senator once again rather than clearing his name. Senator Saraki out of selfish interest compounded the woes of Nigerians by imposing an alleged Boko Haram Sponsor as Nigeria's Senate Leader. What a disservice by APC and Bukola Saraki. A shame to Nigeria that the Leader of the Upper House is facing terrorist charges.

3.APC Deserve No Sympathy
APC rode on propaganda and blackmail. It is a gathering of people of different ideologies, different worlds and men of questionable integrity. It isn't filled with men with common goals like what a political party should be. It is filled with men whose sole ambition was to form a consortium to send Jonathan back to Otuoke and GRAB power. APC as a party also encouraged rascality and impunity in the last National Assembly. APC commended and encouraged Tambawal and the 7 rascals PDP Governors for their anti-party activities. It is a shame but the APC encouraged impunity and even rewarded it by giving them political fortune. Now that APC is at the receiving end of the whole thing, and even receiving worse, I don't think it deserve any symparthy. It is a shame that the presiding officers of both Chambers are hell-bent on by-passing common sense just to subvert the interest of majority of the party. At least in 2011 the PDP had their way in choosing the four principal offices when they lost the two presiding offices due to APC instigated rebellion in the House. I understand the plight for the APC but I have no sympathy for the party. I hope they put their act in order.

4. SP Saraki and Speaker Dogara Deserve To Be Served
In the last dispensation, Senator Saraki and Honorable Dogara were part of the new PDP that fought alongside the opposition to cause a wreck to the Jonathan's re-election ambition and the PDP structure. Now they are back to do to their former comrades-at-arm what they did to their former party. If Saraki and Dogara think they will enjoy the support and privileges from the PDP on the long run, they should have their heads examined. The PDP will make a grave mistake by rewarding Saraki and Hon Dogara on the long run. Already PDP has got the Deputy Senate Presidency, the party should understand that Saraki and Dogara need them more that they need those men. In the event that APC wield their big stick on them, the PDP should have in mind the treachery of both men and serve them at latter date. Yes I supported Saraki and Dogara for Senate President and Speaker respectively so as to nullify the APC's arrangement because Nigeria cannot be run like a one-man's business, it is not because they were worth it. That is in the past now. Saraki and Dogara betrayed PDP to benefit from APC, now they turned around to betray APC but must not benefit from PDP

5. APC Should Not Hold Nigeria To Ransom
Nigerians are tired with one day one trouble for APC and their chieftains. The business of Governance is already suffering all because nothing has started. The auto-piloting system that Buhari is running isn't helping matters. Nigerians are tired of hearing APC Governors and other elected officers talking about partisan politics rather than performing the role they were elected to. Enough is enough. APC has already wasted one month of our National life, we can't afford the luxury of wasting important time on the troubles of the ruling party
I disagree with Ur number 1
Saraki Nd Dogara are following the rule of law (Even though Itz able to secure their ambition)
Remember 1999 law that okays federal character in any Itz a law nt mere saying
Look at what an order in NASS says
Quoting from Order 28 (1) he read: “There shall be a Majority Leader of the Senate. The Majority Leader shall be a senator nominated FROM (nt by) the party with the highest number of senators.
Therefore forcing Saraki to go against the Federal character is nothing but "impunity" which they swore to go against

Nw Saraki wants Caucus to determine their Reps (Federal character obeyed) they are all from apc (order obeyed)
The party is going against Federal character

Should dey be obedient and let our laws to continually raped?

Number 2
North East Caucus nt Saraki nominated him and since it is correlate with the law Itz nt his fault (Even tho Itz once again secured his ambition)

Politics › South Africa Sets Up Visa Office In Port Harcourt by HzRF(op): 11:21am On Jun 26, 2015
The South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Louis Mngani, says visa office established in Port Harcourt is to boost operations between Nigeria and South Africa.

In a statement signed by Mr Opubo Inko-Tariah, the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity of the High Commission, Mngani made the remark at the inauguration of the South African e-visa office in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

According to him, since 1994 when the first elected South African president came to power, the tie between the two countries gets stronger by the day.

Mngani expressed the hope that the presence of the centre would be beneficial to residents and boost trade between the two countries.

He said that the choice of Port Harcourt was due to its status as an economic hub in the country.

The South African Consular General, Mugesi Monaisa, said that the visa centre was among the three established in the country to palliate the suffering prospective visitors and tourists experienced in obtaining visas to South Africa.

Monaisa said that the centre would provide an advice for those ready to do business in South Africa.

In his speech, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, stated that the state is investors haven as it is the most hospitable and lucrative place for investment.

honestly ,the signs were there that buhari will dump tinubu, buhari is a core northerner ,the nest thing in some months time will be the removal of apc executives loyal to tinubu, the north will seize control of apc and there is nothing anyone can do about that, unfortunately for tinubu and apc , even the south western states are getting tired of apc ,every one is praying for the removal of the apc governor in oyo state. Even the popularity of tinubu and his ogboni apc is fast dwindling in the south west. It will be very hard for apc to win osun in the next election and the almighty shocker awaiting apc in the west is the coming of a new powerful political party in the south west very soon that will tackle apc in each south west state.
Of course
Only ogun and lagos is where they still can boost of wide acceptance
In osun today aregbe is getting cursed erryday
Market women/men artisans are all cursing him even "korope" drivers d best defenders of aregbe
If nt dat ladoja and akala that split each other votes ajimobi (ajirebi) will be carrying d tag ex governor of oyo
