Zombie you forgot to add that most of those debts especially US' are held by their citizens and inter-dept'al debts.

It simply means, payment would be retained within their economy. Most of those countries borrowed to mop up excess liquidity from their citizens unlike Nigeria that borrows externally for recurrent purposes.

You also forgot to mention that all those country are heavily export driven unlike Nigeria that imports virtually everything. Those countries won't have problem raising enough FX to offset their external debt without mounting pressures on the foreign sector.

For us, servicing our debt will mount pressure on our foreign sector and this would likely mount inflationary pressure because of limited FX.

APC/Buhari are spending on Economic viable projects that can easily recoup the loan, good infrastructure simply means more people would spend locally on local made goods, since there would be electricity for production and train for cheaper logistics, this simply means that less pressure on our forex as demand for foreign goods would greatly reduce.

China/Nexim bank loan; Abuja-kaduna, Abuja metro, Itape-Warri (critical for ajaokuta to get coal from warri port) Lagos-Ibadan-Abeokuta standard guage, Counterpart funding of 2nd Niger bridge PPP construction.. out of the ones
i can remember.


A major part of our national defense budget goes into buying opreational vehicles, if this 1billion is used to set up their own vehicle plants.. it would save us cost in the long run.

Only a fish brainer would really think a president whose cabinet consist of 60% lawyers, and a professor of law as a Vice, a law graduate as a duaghter wouldnt think of legal options involved with all actions taking.

The reason a president nominates his own vice and ministers, is simply to give him proper representation where needed.

a classic example is if a diplomat from a foriegn country visited him, the diplomat simply heads to the office of the vice as thats the protocol and he is the most senior goverment official at as that time.

Nigeria's Debt profile is very healthy our Debt to GDP rate is 21.30%, Japan has a debt to GDP ratio of 235.96%, Greece has 191.27% , United States has 108.02% while China has 51.21% , Germany has 59.81% what this simply means is that serious countries that wants to grow after finance its critical infrastructure on longterm loan of 20 to 30 years so that we can slowly pay back through taxes , train fare, and toll gating

section 145 of the constituition says the president only needs to transmit power to Acting president only if he sees it fit that he cant perform his role as a president by not been able to discharge the duty of his office and he claims he would discharge his duty for the 10 days from london, just like a working visit to other countries.
