Deicide:It is very much possible. A reputable seller uses the global rom (cc9e) in his Mi a3 |
Deicide:The only drawback of the mi A3 is the 720p Amoled display meaning that it is not a bad display but it cannot be compared with the one used by 1080p phones such as the Samsung A30 and other full high definition display Amoled. In terms of display, the a30 is better than the mi A3 but the positive is that it ends there. The miA3 is better than redmi note 7 except one is fixed on Miui, does not care too much about stock camera, power consumption of the CPU. All things being constant, the miA3>Rn7>A50>A40>A30 please note that the major advantage of stock Android is faster and longer updates, with the only negative of it being boring and lacking features that comes with the personal UI of the OEM |
Redmi 8 has a more efficient CPU Glass build front and back not plastic Better camera and potential for improvement using Gcam Far better OS stability and assurance of update Everything is just over the heels on redmi 8 in comparison to camon 12 |
Ecpet83:I really hate back and forth argument about what is so basic. The peeps arguing have been going back and forth because of a poorly structured argument. SD 439 is a downgrade to the SD 632 on the Redmi 7 Redmi 8 has all other advantages over the Redmi 7 of which are Type C Better build faster charge Corning Gorrilla glass 5 Bigger and better battery. The sd439 used in redmi 8 is better than all the CPU ever used on Infinix and Techno phones save for the infinix zero 5 and so that ran with SD 636. The issue of camera is somewhat subjective. For a fact better CPU leads to better picture output so it is debatable that is the camera quality of redmi 7 compared to 8. Then the Redmi 8 comes with more camera lenses so it has its edge. Redmi 8 production showed there was a shift in priority from hardcore users to light and medium users and is not necessarily a downgrade as was implied above. The SD 439 can run all games but in low quality graphics setting and do not expect it to be as smooth as the Redmi 8. Redmi 7 and Redmi 8 is a matter of priority. This should have answered all the back and forth arguments |
Shegun010:Twitter Snapchat Telegram Mx player Facebook lite messenger lite etc WhatsApp and other apps worked |
genius43:Thank you brother. it is not easy to tell her that. You know how girls get. I really appreciate everyone's help |
fibonacci2526:Let me try that and see |
genius43:Is there any fix for it? |
micxwell:That implied that I have done that earlier and I just did again but it was futile. if it was suggestive of an argument, then it is my bad. |
gidieberry:The phone installs all apps downloaded directly but is selective via xender. The apps I sent to the phone were gotten from PlayStore by myself. I am at a fix |

shosky1794:Xender has the permission to install apps from unknown sources. Redmi 8a shows "Special all app access" and displays the apps individually. I checked from before and rechecked but it is not working |

Shegun010:The apps installed using PlayStore but that is a costly and inconvenient fix brother |
Good evening everyone. I got a redmi 8a for my younger sister earlier today. I sent her some apps through xender and it is refusing to install. The texts I keep receiving is "due to system policy, this app cannot be installed and application not installed" I have tried factory resetting but to no avail. is there any workaround it? |
Ixhorah:Middle Segment Mi A3 especially with Gcam Rn8 with Gcam is wonderful (At least from 4/64 combination) rn8 pro especially with Gcam mi 9 lite Higher Segment Mi 9 Mi note 10 I do not know about mi9t but it might be among the list. |
Iceking1:there is a Gcam for Redmi note 8 pro which trumps the rn8 Gcam by far. The hybrid sim has its alternatives |
There is significant difference between redmi note 8 and redmi note 8 pro. the Redmi note 8 pro has better camera sensor and better picture production, better video recording capabilities, higher brightness, smoother use, nice features of its CPU of which one is the ability for it to automatically use wifi and Data, two Wi-Fi's or switch between both by itself due to network strength. presently the Redmi note 8 pro is receiving more support than the Redmi note 8 both on Gcam and custom romsl, faster internet connection, nfc, power delivery support, support for hdr, audio quality, it is a significant upgrade |
Redmi 8 since you are concerned about camera quality and you have access to Gcam for very high quality pictures. Redmi 7 if you are concerned about performance such as gaming and heavy usage. For your budget, these two are your only option. if you can increase your budget by adding #8000, you can get the Redmi note 8 and you have the option of using Gcam for better pictures. The alternative to this is none. presently, there is no OEM that produces budget phones with very camera output |
not eligible also |
@greenhulk xiaomi phones have wirkesss charging. the Xiaomi mi9 came with the fastest wireless charging then and even reverse charging. the Xiaomi mi 9 pro has the fastest wireless charging and maybe the reverse charging. please be informed. aside this addition, you really argue clearly. I like that except for few subjective facts here and there |
I need direction in solving this recurring issue of mine. My battery always fall from 100 to 93% overnight regardless of what I do. I always make sure I clear all my background apps using the security app then I put the phone to rest only to see the same result. From the battery usage analysis, the apps with the most consumption is my "Android system" and "android". The former using up to 57% and the other using up to 15%. what can be done to correct this? |
who's that poster above comparing f11 pro to this. Redmi note 7 with Gcam produces better camera output. the sd660 is better than the p70 on f11 pro. these 2 I can vouch for |
why don't you just order through jumia? |
Who can help me proffer a solution to this issue I have been having? My volume ceases and stop working, then it works again after some time. I noticed that even after it ceases, I can still get screenshot manually when I hold the volume down button and power. Any solution will be appreciated. It is really embarrassing |
ona jus dey make me laff for this thread. someone above is speaking so highly of SD430. It is so pitiable Nigerians know so little about techy stuffs. That oppo a5s should not even be more than 30k. There are far better options than it, like very very many options that are better. That phone is trashy for that price. I am just only focusing on the CPU, not to talk of screen resolution, screen quality, camera quality, screen protection, fast charge, etc If you want a great phone for that budget, then I will recommend for you just 3. Nokia x5 if you are more of a gamer and not too battery centric Redmi 7 if you game, but no too much and you love your battery Samsung A20 if you love big screen, battery life and brand name In the list above, the Nokia X5 and Redmi 7 has no better competition for your budget at least for the phones available in the Nigeria market. The Nokia has its pro and cons like the Redmi too, but they are by a great margin better than the rubbish someone above suggested. y'all should be tech savvy. if you can add 2k extra, then the Redmi note 7 is your best value for money. Take my advice or leave it. all is left to you las las |
GrandMufti:it only works when I take screenshot manually. nothing else |
can anyone help me proffer a solution? My volume button is no longer working. I just noticed this when I tried snapping, and it does not even function anymore at all. I use a Redmi note 7. |
Shegun010:can you drop the link? I will like to compare this with the rest Shegun010 |
OHIsIManuEL:Leave them jae. it is a thing of choice after all. Hehehe |
For those complaining about the battery Icon not changing. it is simple. switch off your Dark mode, apply the theme and reboot your phone and it will change. after that, you have the option of either switching on the dark mode or not. That is the only solution. |
