Thank you VO for replying. I got the visa and it states IR1 class visa. But I have a problem and that is my wife has changed and she doesnt want to live with me any more and she has demanded divorce. Divorce procedures are not yet been initialized by her yet may due to the fact that our marriage ceremony happened and registered in Pakistan. But anyways My questions are:- 1. Can she has the power to cancel my visa and hold me at the POE? 2. Can she has the power now to cancel my green card? 3. Is it possible to change the mailing address of my green card as I have mentioned her address on DS 260 form and she doesn't want to live with me any more? 4. Should I pay the immigrant fee of 160$ for processing of green card before departure or is there any option i can pay it over there and can i update my new mailing address at that time or not. Thank you in advance for taking time for answering my questions. |
LagosNIV:Thank you VO I mean i dont have 2014 Transcript from IRS all I have is their Individual Tax Return 1040 forms so would i be needing W-2 or 1099 form or should i present that and ill be fine secondly I dont have AOS because original was sent to NVC and afterwards due to checklist we sent the copies of that too to NVC now we have nothing so is it necessary that i have to take AOS at the interview because I have none neither the copy nor the original. Thanks |
Hello Visa Officer, Its been long since i wrote you last time. I hope you are in good health and doing well. VO my IR1 interview is on 21 Jan but I am short of few documents and I am worried about that it would delay my Visa. Documents I am short are as below 1. Signed I-864 of My Petitioner 2. Signed I-864 and I-864A of Joint Sponsor 3. Irs Transcript for 2014 4. W-2 Forms and 1099 Forms The last checklist which I received from NVC it stated that my joint sponsor I-864 and I-864 A has some errors i have screen shots of that checklist kindly guide me whether i need to provide only these missing documents or should i have to present the corrected I-864 forms with original signatures. One other thing my Petitioner had sent me the Complete Individual Tax returns instead of IRS Transcript but it has no W-2 or 1099 forms. Secondly my Joint Sponsor is self employed as she is business partner with her husband so which out of W-2 and 1099 applies to her and also they filed for 2014 Tax return in October what I have read on google is W-2 and 1099 couldn't be access till next July is it true or not. Kindly also guide me Is this Individual Tax return would be enough to be taken to interview or if i dont take any financial document NVC still sent my file to Consulate so i think they wont ask me about that or would they Thanks

Good Morning Visa Officer, I am really frustrated and depressed as I haven't received any updates from NVC regarding my case status. It been more than sixty days now and despite calling them several times and even talking with the supervisors doesn't help much. As per the last call i made and talked with the supervisor he told that review was completed on 16-09-2015. And you will receive some assessment letter next week stating you will need to bring following documents to bring to your Interview Copy of 2014 irs Tax Transcript Copy of 2014 W2 form I864A form Copy of Birth and Marriage Certificate He also said you might receive a checklist just ignore it from now on NVC doesn't require anything from you. Now I am wondering why NVC is taking so long. They havent sent me any thing not even a checklist. Is it normal for NVC not to respond even after 60 days? What is assessment letter? Does it really mean we dont have to deal with NVC any more and now the case will be in Consulate? There is no 3 N/A on CEAC website which i have been checking regularly. How long it takes for the status to be changed on website. Is NVC waiting for the consulate to respond before they will send me anything due to extensive backlogs the consulates have? Sorry for so many questions. NVC doesnt help much so i thought you might know the answer to if not all few of my questions Thanks in Advance |
VisaOfficer:Thank You for your response. I just talked with the NVC yesterday and they were telling a different story. Now they say that my Birth Certificate and Marriage certificate translation is not as per the requirement of NVC where as My Birth certificate is being issued from Govt. Of Pakistan which is both in English and Urdu where as my marriage certificate was translated by a competent authority endorsed by the notary public. One more thing what do NVC means by certified copy isnt the color copy is considered as certified copy? |
Hello VO I hope you are fine. My Question is my case is been in NVC for 54 days as of today and i am still waiting for a Case complete. So what should i expect from NVC a CC or a check list? Yesterday i talked to a rep and she said I should hope for a CC instead of Checklist and that i will get a CC soon so I was wondering how long will this soon gona last? |

Iamnewhere: Thank you Visa Officer for your guidance I really appreciate it. I will write the letter and explain about this matter but to who should I address the letter to national visa centre or what. thank you |
iamnewhere: Hello Visa Officer, I hope you will be fine. My question is that My wife is an american citizen and she was divorced but when she got married here with me in Pakistan we on the marriage certificate mentioned her as virgin. Now for CR1 visa she has submitted her divorce papers as well. Now the problem is i can not rectify this error from the marriage certificate issuance authority so hearing this my immigration consultant asked me to cross it my self and wrote divorced on it and then send it to him. I asked him that even if i do that the embassy will physically verify the marriage certificate from registrar and his own copy of marriage certificate which will state her as virgin. So what should i do should i let the case proceed without correcting the virgin part as we are not hiding any thing coz she has already submitted her divorce papers or should i cross it my self and correct it will it effect my case if i do it or not or If i just submit the marriage certificate as it is will the visa officer wont be suspected about it kindly guide me please. |

[quote author=Iamnewhere]Hello Sir I hope you will be fine and in good health. Sir I wanted to ask that will it create any problem if some one nikkah date is 24 aug 2o13 but it was registered in 2014 let say in July 2014. will it negitively effect the immigration case or not. Secondly if some one wants to give interview in his own language because he thinks he can answer the question more throughly and clearly even though he can speak English would it be a negitively thing too do or is it a good thing. thank you |
Iamnewhere: My friend also got married here in Pakistan and he is going to live in California.so is there any way his case is being processed as the the divorce suit was filed by his wife after the nikkah. your proper guidance in this aspect is required. thanks |
[quote author=Iamnewhere]Thank You Sir for your quick reply, I have checked it on http://en.wikipedia.org it states that in California first cousin marriage is allowed. Now there is a problem i want to discuss. One of my friend also married to his cousin in States but his cousin had a paper marriage with some guy for the purpose of bringing him into states. Now at the time when my friend got married with his cousin her wife didnt file the divorce case but after some period she did. Now the problem is my friends nikkah happened before the divorce suit was filed now his immigration lawyer has asked him to change the marriage commencement date on his nikkah form which is impossible so is there any way to process his immigration case without changing the date on Nikkah form. Thanks |
