It is well.....when I was in Ghana years back...sometimes ,I forget to lock my gate and main house and I still sleep like I have Rambo and Terminator as my gate men.
I don't even think of robbers when am home. Night life is quite safe.. But in lasgidi town. No try am

Exactly what I meant by saying its a trend.....the burglars targets are always homes that that the occupants are most of the times away due to work.
but inasmuch as people hear about such. It's not rampant

True! That's where the richest Ghanaians new money live.
true. Those are high brow areas with tight security. You even have to call at the gate for the security to confirm who you came to see. Ever heard of robbery in Osborne or banana Island? It seems this guy wants to be in the news

Am saying almost all my friends working and living in Ghana,Accra to be precise, have had their houses burgled to the last tea spoon, some even twice!
I have had my house burgled once in Ghana. Tho they seemed to be petty thief's. So its not a Nigerian thing. If they are burglars. They are burglars. The one I witnessed in Nigeria even makes the Ghana incident child's play. May you not witness such

.

Isn't trasacco a gated community. It has to be an inside job.
inside job won't work sef. There is protocol at the gate and security. To carry big stuffs out like that will make the operation suspicious

That can never happen in Transacco estate, it's a big lie.

This is an estate that if you remember that you forgot something in there just as you get to the gate, you will be made to go through another process of getting in with phone calls to the very residence you are going. That's the number 1 estate in Ghana.
if it really happened in Transacco, then I doubt the utehtencity of d news. That place is like that Osborne or banana Island in Ghana

9jaclicktivist:
StarrFMonline.com investigations have revealed that potential Isis recruits in Ghana hold regular meetings at a specific house around Palm Wine Junction in Accra.
The meetings often take place on Fridays and Wednesdays. The potential recruits also, occasionally, meet on weekends, sources familiar with their operations have told StarrFMonline.com.
The revelations come on the back of reports that a Ghanaian, Nazir Nortei Alema, has joined the Islamist militant group.
The 25-year- old graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), according to the Daily Guide Newspaper, has thrown his family into a health-threatening stress, as he is reported to have joined the bloodthirsty group in Iraq and Syria.

With a degree in Geography and Rural Development, he is one of the 10 suspected Muslim youth from Ghana who have finally taken the decision to join the terrorist grouping, whose stock-in-trade is public beheading of their opponents or those they regard as infidels.
His father,Abdul Latif Alema , has also confirmed that his son has been having meetings with his colleagues who are also potential recruits at a hideout near the Palm wine Junction at Labadi in Accra.
Meanwhile, the National Security has begun investigations into the matter.

No man I disagree.. In EVERYTHING that has to do with movie Nollywood is "not all about quantity" Don't tell me Ghana is better because I also watch Ghanaian movies
You should see:::
*BLACK NOVEMBER- Akon,wyclef,Vivica Fox,amazing quality,,
*OCTOBER 1- Good quality
*HALF OF A YELLOW SUN - Box office ($2.1mill)
*30DAYS IN ATLANTA(Kylie redd,vivica)
*DRY
*IJE
*MR and MRS
*WEEKEND GETAWAY
*A PLACE IN THE STARS
*LEKKI WIVES
*SHUGA
and others

You shouldn't always sideline the QUALITY of our movies because we have a lot,, then generalize that its all about QUANTITY....its a balance of Both...

DON'T YOU THINK I NEED PROOF:;;; That your movies are better QUALITY
look I tell u that . nollywood and gollywood are almost the same in the sense that they have poor movies and cool movies..
some good Ghanaian, movies I know of
sinking sands
ties that bind
I sing of a well
perfect picture
8 days to Christmas
the contract. etc
there are so many I can't mention. we are close neighbours. both countries have great potential. the best we can do. is to explore. to clear ourselves of negatives and misconceptions. the same way nollywood is not always about village aki and pawpaw scenes is the same way gollywood is not all about sex and meaningless scenes. that lady up there is not even known in Ghana. hurgry bloggers are just trying to stay relevant .

What is the population of orile-iganmu or whatever nonsense name you mentioned?

You are not ashamed your armpit country, which is a top oil and gas producer, can't produce ordinary electricity for its impoverished citizens? Utter nonsense!

quote author=Chigold101 post=37054718]global poverty line means nothing to a Nigerian. Why
Because we plant what we eat.
Because we don't buy things in our villages in dollars.
Because at every season of the year we have some sort of fruits to harvest.
Because we don't pay tax for our farm produce.
Therefore we don't include all these when we sell.

I won't respond much on housing thing I mentioned and the USA... Because i am sure that you don't know 95% of house owners in the USA are already living in the wealth of their unborn babies. They call it mortgage.
Besides I don't know your state or village but I am from Anambra state and the houses in our villages are mostly mentions (it doesn't matter if we live in shanties in the city). Home sweet home.

Coming to light; if you apply the coordination I mentioned very well you will know that light is inclusive. If our government can learn to coordinate very well, we will never lack power.
Meanwhile; I can't complain about because where I live in Odume, Obosi, we don't lack power. But my heart goes to all those that are suffering because of poor power.

Yes you mentioned Accra: grin that's funny though. Because all the people that live in Accra and even throughout Central Region of Ghana are not up to people that live in Orile Iganmu, in Lagos state. So forget Ghana and Accra. The time I went visiting, they also experience power failure though not the one that last for days.
pls Don't mind that fellow. Orile is a place lagos and u can only compare it's population with nima. That's if Nima does not exceed. Freedom has made people talk shit

Nigeria may rightly not be No.1 exporter of yam but I don't think any other country, for now, produce it as much as Nigeria. We are more concerned with our domestic market distribution of it than exporting. No country in the world rival Nigeria's local consumption of yam.

If not for the make we sit down wait for niger delta oil why should countries like ghana and japan over take us in yam exportation...until we get it right in this country for each region to make and harness best use of its resources we will keep retrogressing until countries like malta would be doing better than us..rubbish..
Nigerians should stop beefing other nations for their hard work. It's not like Nigeria is being robbed of its rightful share. As the saying goes aiye po gan! There is enough space and market for everyone. Do your own make I do my own. BTW. No one will argue that Nigeria has not had a fair share of revenue from its resources like crude, of which a lot of the African countries that did not have as at then and did not complain. So what's the fuss about?

wah am sayin is dey can't jez start comparing a country like nigeria to ghana because nigeria is way to bigger in everythn dat concerns west coast ok d only advantage ur country has is dr constant light which even d source stil gotn frm nig ,maintain neatness, people obey rules nd regulations e.g traffic lights nd abstain frm robbry etc mostly accra most oda parts in ghana are nt like dat nd undeveloped. a peaceful, safer, lively nd night life accra well generaly a peaceful nation compared to nigeria buh over all nigeria is way too bigger u want sum prove. check most of ur products in ur markets kanesi markets nd d rest u'd see made in nigeria everywhr our music's,musicians hip hop, christian etc,tv shows, nollywood movies, our products soft drnks la casera etc(not dat sugar nd colour mixture 4star etc named energy drink ghana produce),our gas made in nigera news paper nd lot more u see are nigerian property nd intellectual individuals d likes of dangote, wizkid, flavour etc all frm nigeria vartualy everyfin which is every whr in ghana frm volta region to the northern eastern nd ashanti region evrywhr in gh the only property of ghana u'd hear in nigeria is alomo bitters which is evrywhr nd ghanian coco tea which is rear every other fin ghanians loves nigerians based in 9ja don't even hear abt it only does based in ghana. so nigeria is way tu bigger dn other smaller west african countries nw people comparing accra wit abuja hw possible is dat. if u gat sum cash embark on dis trip travel frm ivory coast, ghana, togo, benin u'd see its same partern of highways den get into nigeria startin frm seme border u'd notice a total difference den travel frm lagos along side d ibadan high way, ore, edo etc den u see nigeria is no rank to dis smaller countries accra should hv bin compared wit abidjan which I stil beliv abidjan is better d paris of africa jez d war problem den, lome, cotonou but hell no nt wit nigerian abuja mayb not even lagos becos lag has it all d 3rd mainland brigde high tall buildins,flowers/gardens and lagos island is enough lagos wud av being a very lively nd nighlife city wit d likes of eko and suits, silverbird cinemas, shoping malls, clubs, hotels etc jst due tu lagos risk stress nd population but stil people av fun mostly on friday nd saturday mayb cross river is preferable it sud might av bin accra vs cross river hey come on why comparing av u 4gotn d riches nd wealth even d individual build latest infrastures hotels, houses, etc u need to see d house my uncle build in awka its an up to date house nd dat kind u find every whr in nigeria buh av nt seen such in accra d capital of a nation dey only build one style of houses nd roof it like dat till date which is in existance 4 a long tym no new idea's u need to go tu a place called kasoa oh shit if nt our students seekin admission in dr uni's u'd see hw vacant it will b becos charle charle paa boy's nd grls dr hardly go tu skl 4 sum factors no money nd not interested in education etc u'd rather see dem driving ttro ttro servin as matte or into peti peti business u see highr rate of unemployment in ghana young nd old nd dr capital accra don't joke wit money altho its everywhr and does ghanians luv money mugulisly dats why nigerians are smarter nd sharper dan dem in everyfin nigerians in ghana even feed nd offer dem employment in there home dey copy all what nigeria does both bad and good even tryin tu speak d 9ja pigin my people I knw everyfin abt ghana dr's notin special at all its worse dan nigeria dey only present accra tarwordi, tamale, kumasi, cape cost which is not even betr dan sum nig states aside lagos nd abuja d rests are rural areas nd villages nobody even hear of dr northern region they say terrorist nd boko haram tell me which hausa's hv u seen in west africa togo, ghana, ivory coast, benin rep nd nigeria havin a different mind set dey all d same fin dey all aboki nd they boost of sum few natural tourist attraction with kakum part in cape coast. tel me is cape coast better dan obudu cattle rang of nighuh brothers b4 ghana will meet up wit nig dey still gat a long way u knw d worst dey use dr commercial local bus ttro ttro nd sum big korian luxirus bus eg vvip nd executive tu travel far distances eg frm accra to kumasi, tarkworade etc are few hours nd longer hours drive tho d highways are jst 2lines nd landmark no too big. no single ghanian bus travels to nigeria unlike nigeria individuals eg efex executive ,d young, god is good, guo, abc, iyare, cross country etc will charter brand new toyota hiace bus nd european luxirus bus which travels frm lagos to north south east nigeria nd to ghana wit d brand new made bus by a nigerian 'innorson' which even loads frm lagos nigeria to west costal area's to accra gh so note:. an individual in nigeria is enough tu change ghana more eg dangote nd innorson mottors because u have sum little built roads, plazers, gov given prepaid unit(lights) nd waters ,clubs, bars and resturants nd sum shopping malls nd d nation manage d little dey gat in d capital city accra will now gv u d nerves tu compare accra tu a flashy classic high buildns nd well constructed abuja which fancy infastructure do they hv in accra gh capital even"east legon, osu jst clean nd normal notin more nw can d accra's finest osu, east legon, tema etc meet with d one's in lagos I.e"mary land, ikeja, lagos island, ikoyi, lekki, wit all d high buildns beautiful roads oceans nd seas gardens etc nt to talk of abuja nigeria capital the little they have are built by foreigners eg the new shoppin mall.west hill mall which is own by a fellow african from south africa d president 'mahama' came out sayn dey should build more 4 dem in other region eg kumasi etc again dey call lagos dirty while d beautiful place's have world class buildins nd markets eg,d longest bridge in west africa 3rd mainland, ikoyi,vi,lekki, aja, mary land, ikeja nw compare does places wit osu or legon or d accra gsm/computer market circle wit d big computer village nd small neat gsm village along airport road or will u compare d beautiful lagos international nd airport wit d ones in dr capital city accra seriously if u knw accra u'd knw its no reach tu nigeria higher cities it has its own dirty irritatin areas too prove me wrong lemi knw d person.I'l say it again compare accra wit mayb cross river not abuja even lagos is nt a match cn go on and on but I'l stop I want tu see who more or same thing I knw prove me wrong
this is a long epic piece of junk. U have little idea about urban development
