The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been alleged of paying self-acclaimed leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to announce that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead.





The special adviser to President Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, made this known on Friday through her twitter handle.

She tweeted: “The intelligence of some Nigerians has been insulted by the outrageous lies that @Mbuhari has a double, having died in the UK. This evil is being sponsored by one of PDP’s Looters, the drug infested, crack head, @realffk. He is calling Nigerians, gullible. Nigerians are not!

“Recall, at the start of the @Mbuhari/@ProfOsinbajo administration, @realffk, mounted a campaign of targeted calumny on the persons and offices of the President @MBuhari and Vice President, @ProfOsinbajo. He has been manufacturing and churning out lies upon lies.


“At a Press Conference on 27th February, 2015, he posited, adamantly, that an oath was administered on @ProfOsinbajo, to force him to resign as the Vice President after the election to make way for Asiwaju Tinubu to replace him That was nearly 4 years ago. But the lies continue.

Few days after signing out as a final year student , a final year student of the department of microbiology, Nnamdi Azikwe Universities Awka, Anambra State ( unizik) identified as "francis",  was said to have lost his life yesterday while playing basket

he was reported to have slum while playing, and was rushed immediately to the school medical center where they met the absence of a resident doctor and no medical personnel could revive him, and before he was rushed to another hospital was proclaimed dead..



This obviously didn't go well with Unizik students  as they took to social media to pour out their grief, demanding for a build up or burn down of the medical center

I feel bittered ,What a nonsense of Nnamdi Azikiwe university clinic in Awka, a final year student, a course mate, just to share memories together was rushed to the nonsense, rubbish clinic on emergency, on getting to the hospital no single doctor was there to attend to him, the nurses looking like cleaners couldn't even attend to him, Francis was right before us dying !!!!!, professionals in the medical field told us to pray without them playing their own part, I was gutted , although we were praying heavily , we tried to rush Francis to another hospital a doctor rushed in stupidly asking the hospital she is working in if they had oxygen and Bp apparatus, the nurses said no, Francis was going far out of this world right in our very before ,that was when it occurred to them that Francis would be rushed to the hospital , I was inside the ambulance holding Francis foot, it was damn cold, his eyes were already open!!! I was scared , I knew only miracle could happen because Francis had no impulse, on getting to Amaku general hospital the doctors saw it was already late, Francis had no life in him again, they left him unattended , we felt it has happened already , as his course mates we were optimistic a miracle could happen, Francis was gone, our lecturer came and broke the news to us in the hospital , we cried , we are still crying, we are feeling bitter , the dean of students affair came to show his stupidity, he said "THIS IS NIGERIA, WE DON'T EXPECT THINGS TO BE PERFECT, WE DON'T HAVE IMPLEMENTS, this words got us pissed ,he was then blaming our leaders, A DEAN OF STUDENTS AFFAIR, A LEADER, #ENOUGH_IS_ENOUGH This is our second course mate we, are loosing to unizik medicals , UNIZIK MEDICALS KILLED FRANCIS!!! Unizik medicals is a death trap, what is the essence of the money we pay for medicals!!!! They rarely even administer drugs ,#shut_down_that_hospital

In our year two Ogoo was rushed to that death trap, nothing was done to her, they cannot resuscitate her, she died, we cried, wiped our tears, and did nothing.

When Nancy Shore drove home from church one day in August 2012 a hitman was waiting for her with a gun. She survived, but was stunned to learn, from her hospital bed, who police accused of paying to have her killed.

"We really had an awesome marriage," says 57-year-old Nancy Shore.

"Obviously, you go through your ups and downs. I mean we weren't perfect, we had our issues from time to time and we always worked through those."

Nancy married Frank Howard in 1983 and they raised three children together in Carrollton, Texas.

"He was very kind, gentle, loving. He was very involved with our children," she says.


"He coached soccer teams when they were little kids - we went to all of their soccer games. And some of them [did] musical theatre."

The couple sang in the choir at their local church and held Bible study meetings for the youth group in their family home. But when their children grew up, Frank began to travel more for his work as an accountant. Nancy began to feel more isolated.

"I was a stay-at-home mom and that was my job, and once they started leaving it was getting hard for me," says Nancy. "And then he started getting more busy with work and I guess you would say it felt like we were growing, in distance, apart."

Frank was away on what Nancy thought was another business trip on the evening of 18 August 2012. She had attended a baptism at her church and after stopping to get a takeaway, she drove back home.

"I drove into my garage and suddenly there was a man with his arm around my neck and a gun to my head," says Nancy. He demanded her handbag.

Nancy managed to wrestle herself away and turned to face her attacker, who was wearing a black baseball cap. Terrified, she accidentally handed him the bag of takeaway food.

"He demanded my purse a third time with expletives," says Nancy. "I was close enough to him to shove my purse into his chest and when I did I cried out, 'Jesus save me!' and he immediately shot me in the head and I went down."

Nancy lay unconscious on the floor while her assailant ran off, taking the handbag but leaving her car, which he could easily have stolen. When she recovered consciousness, Nancy could barely breathe and was in excruciating pain.

The bullet had gone through her head and lodged in her right lung.


"When I came to I thought you're going to die, and then that's when God spoke to me and said, 'Get up.' He gave me the physical strength to get up," says Nancy.

Her mobile phone was in her stolen handbag so she crawled to the car and pressed a button designed to summon an emergency rescue service. When this didn't work, Nancy made a huge effort and staggered into the house. Here she caught her reflection in a mirror for the first time.

"I looked at myself and all I could see was blood from my eye down to my beautiful purple shirt," says Nancy.

"At that point I didn't realise that I had lost my left eye."

Struggling for breath, she managed to call the emergency services, screaming "Help me, help me!" She told them where she was and provided a description of her attacker. She then miraculously walked to the front door to wait for the paramedics' arrival.





A policeman at the scene contacted Nancy's children who phoned their father Frank.

"He began weeping and being beside himself, as one daughter described it," says Nancy. "And he was out of control trying to get to my rescue."

Once Frank was able to fly back home, he visited his wife at the hospital. Nancy says her daughter described to her how he fell to the floor before he first saw her, such was his distress.

Yet as the police began to investigate, they found some shocking data on Frank's mobile phone, including photographs and text messages from another woman. Frank had been with her at the time of the attack, and not on a business trip.

The affair had been going on for three years.



When Nancy was strong enough to leave intensive care she received a phone call from Frank via the hospital phone confessing to his adultery.

"I just completely began weeping," says Nancy. "He actually was weeping so hard that I could barely even understand him talking, to tell me what had happened."

Frank came to visit Nancy at the hospital several more times after that call, but there was more devastating news to come. While she was still recovering from surgery and undergoing further tests, the police told Nancy they had arrested a man in connection with the attack - John Franklin Howard, Nancy's husband, known to everyone as Frank.

For several years, Frank had been paying a gang of criminals to murder his wife.

"It was heartbreaking," says Nancy. "I can remember even after an eye surgery just weeping and weeping and my mother had to come in and say, 'Stop, you can't cry like that, your eye has got to heal,' and, 'You can't be letting your head hang down like that.'"


The criminals had been exploiting Frank, continually demanding more and more money. He was also spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on his girlfriend. So Frank had started to embezzle money from one of his wealthy clients - possibly more than $30m.

Nancy does not know why Frank wanted her killed. But she believes it's because he knew she would never agree to a divorce.

"I had made that vow to the Lord that I was not going to divorce him," says Nancy. "So he began getting involved with [another woman], the next thing you know he's embezzling money because he's trying to show her that he's this rich man, and I think before long he was in over his head. He really had no option but to have me shot."

At Frank's trial, the jury took only two hours to find him guilty of attempted capital murder. He was sentenced to life in prison and will have to serve 30 years before he will be considered for parole. By then he will be about 85 years old.

In fact Nancy did divorce her husband - before the trial - but if he had been acquitted she would have been willing to rebuild their relationship and remarry him, she says.

So the guilty verdict came as a "kick in the stomach".

"It's because I still loved him at the time, and you know I have to say I still love him, not in a romantic love, but in a love that he's the father of my children, and there's always going to be a love there," Nancy says.

Her children were convinced their father had been wrongly convicted.

"He was continually telling them that he was innocent," says Nancy. "That he had nothing to do with this, and he was a great husband and father until the time he wasn't. So I can totally understand why my children believe this."


After the verdict she and her children left the courtroom separately. It was a month before they began to make contact again.

Despite everything she has been through, Nancy has been able to forgive her husband - and even offered him forgiveness via her victim impact statement at the trial.

"I have forgiven him," says Nancy. "The Bible says that if we don't forgive those who have harmed us then we are unable to be forgiven and I couldn't afford not to forgive him because I couldn't live with bitterness."

Nancy has not seen or heard from Frank since he went to prison. Although she has thought about visiting him, for now she is keeping her distance. But there is one question that preys on her mind, and that she would ask him if she could.

"What happened to the marriage?" says Nancy. "What in the world even caused him to want to go astray and find another woman? I know the shooting should be the most devastating part of it, but that has been the most devastating part."

Nancy's recovery has astonished doctors. She has had numerous operations to rebuild her face and eye socket and now has a prosthetic eye. She also has a full-time job working as a legal assistant in a law firm.

"I still have the bullet in my lung, but I had lost the use of my right arm and hand and I now am able to use it and I type," says Nancy.

She says she "vigorously" celebrates every birthday she has had since the shooting and still experiences joy singing in the church choir. Nearly six years after the horror of the attack on her doorstep, she is moving on.

"I'm able to be thankful once again for how God has saved my life and the healing that's happening in my children's lives, it's awesome," she says. "I'm excruciatingly happy."

Saudi Arabia's official team plane caught fire in mid air as they travelled to their next World Cup match.


Flames were seen from the engine as the Russian Airlines Airbus was en route to Rostov.

An official statement read: "The Saudi Football Federation wishes to reassure everyone about the safety of all members of the mission of the national team after a minor technical malfunction in an engine.

"The plane landed a few minutes ago at Rostov on Don Airport, and UNOMIG personnel are now safely heading to their residence."


The plane was a Russian Airlines Airbus A319-100.

The word Assurance, has recently made waves in Nigeria. And to some the word itself is synonymous with the car Porsche. Personally, I believe that the greatest assurance a young unmarried lady needs from a man who loves her or claims to, is the one obtained on the isle, while he slips a ring into her fragile finger, even as he looks deep into her eyes and makes the promise of always and forever before her family and friends.


However I know some may prefer just the Porsche and the publicity that comes with it, which soon wanes and is forgotten. This however is not the purpose of this write-up. The purpose of this write-up is to answer the question, “what kind of lady deserves an assurance?”.

The progenitor of the song and the deed which gave rise to “assurance”, explains succinctly in his song.

According to him: She get the dollar: meaning that she has her own, and is not overly dependent on a man.

Secondly, she dey wear designers: this is indicative of the fact that she has a good taste and class which she can personally finance. This of course is the kind of lady that absolutely deserves an Assurance.

Furthermore, she is marketable. This is because she has developed a gift and an ability which can fetch great dividend. Such lady is able to attract endorsements merely because she has something to offer. Infact she is an asset!

Many who seek Assurance today have nothing to offer. Not the resources, nor a good taste or class. It is a reality of life, that those who get the good things are not those who go about seeking it.

This explains why, while a poor man begs for ten thousand to survive, a wealthy man is offered millions both in cash and in kind without him necessarily asking for it. And the giver may even further add, “please Sir kindly manage this little token”, even when the gift they offer is more than just a token.

In conclusion, those who deserve an ‘Assurance’ are those who do not go about seeking it, but such that has worked on themselves enough that a man who comes in contact with them cannot help but give them an Assurance. For he realizes that it is for his own good. Just like a man who has discovered a precious jewel and sells all he has in order to acquire it, for he knows that time wasted eventually would be to his own detriment.

During a recent conference, American Christian speaker and evangelist Joyce Meyer made a biblical case for getting tattoos and admitted she has been thinking of getting one herself just to shut the mouths of religious people.





The video clip posted by Joyce Meyer Ministries kicked off with Meyer explaining the difference between being holy and religious.

“Holiness is not legalism,” Meyer declared.
She went on to explain that religious people have made a mess of holiness by putting a bunch of rules and regulations on people. She listed drinking, dancing, wearing makeup and more among those rules.

According to Christian Post, Meyer quoted Isaiah 44:5 in defence of getting permanent markings. The scripture says,

“One will say, I am the Lord’s; and another will call himself by the name of Jacob; and another will write [even brand or tattoo] upon his hand, I am the Lord’s, and surname himself by the [honorable] name of Israel.”


She also shared the counterargument often used to discourage believers from getting tattoos found in Leviticus 19:28: “Do not cut your bodies for the dead and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the LORD.”
Televangelist Pat Robertson, among others, has cited Leviticus to argue that getting tattoos is a “heathen practice.”


“You look at the Bible, the people are told not to mark their bodies and cut themselves like the heathen did. Tattooing is a heathen practice, it is not a Christian practice,” Robertson said in 2016.


But Meyer rejected the argument and contended that God also tattooed those He loves to Himself.

“The Bible says in Isaiah 49 that God has a picture of you tattooed on the palm of His hand,” she maintained.
“I’m right on the verge of going and getting a tattoo,” she added, pointing to her shoulder blade. “I thought I might as well just push all the religious people right off the cliff and just get it over with.”


Meyer said her ink would say, “I belong to the Lord.” She admitted that her husband pushed back a bit on her stance but they realized it was just a religious stance stemming from legalism.

A mathematics teacher in a secondary school in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe, who was in the news a few weeks ago for marrying his 17-year-old biological sister has granted an interview to Channels Tv explaining why he did it.


According to the man, he got the directives from God. Ezeibekwe said that he had a revelation where God told him to marry his sibling.

He further quoted Bible passages in Deuteronomy to illustrate that siblings could marry each other.
He said,


“One advantage of doing this is that it discourages divorce. It also retains family values and norms. I don’t feel guilty. I don ’t feel ashamed. I don ’t feel intimidated in any way. Only God can stop us,”
The teacher said he did not pay any bride price to anybody in respect of the marriage.
The wedding was conducted by Chiadikobi’s elder brother, Chijioke Ezeibekwe, who is the priest of Dwelling Fullness of God Church, Agba, Ekwulobia.
However, the youth of the village had set ablaze the church, Dwelling Fullness of God Church, where the wedding was conducted. According to them, it is an abomination and an act that could incur the wrath of the gods upon the village.


Reacting to the issue, the traditional prime minister of Ekwulobia, Gabriel Ezeukwu, said,
“Agba village youths, who saw the marriage as an abomination, set ablaze the church where the wedding took place.
“I restrained them from further action against the man and his family. If it were in the past, the entire family would be burnt down because this is a grave abomination and sin.”


The eldest son of the family, Emeka Ezeibekwe vowed to resist their union.

Two identical twins have been arrested for alleged examination malpractice in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), at the University of Maiduguri centre, Borno.
Mr Babagana Gutti, Chief Examiner Officer in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the twins were apprehended by the security operatives on Saturday in Maiduguri.
Gutti said that the lookalike brothers tricked invigilators and security personnel to gain entrance to the centre.
The JAMB official explained that one, Hussain Andulhammeed, was captured in the biometric registration for the Computer Based Test (CBT), adding that this brother Hassan took advantage of their semblance and sat for the examination in place of his brother.
“We do not suspect foul play until one of the invigilators noticed the other identical twin outside the examination hall.
“The invigilator became curious and asked him few questions; but not satisfied with answers he put them together for verification.

“It is unfortunate our findings showed that he was in the examination hall in place of his brother.
“The candidates had been penalised and handed over to security personnel,” he said

According to a news website, Ghanaweb, Many Ghanaians and some Nigerians following the speech have taken to social media to question the rationale behind President Buhari’s offer of help for Ghana’s anti-corruption fight when he was yet to finish with his own unending corruption load in Nigeria.

Permeating the comments and posts were references to a snake that allegedly swallowed 36 million naira ($102,409, the cedis equivalent of over 470,000 cedis from the office of Nigeria’ Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Mynewsgh.com observed a general disenchantment with the offer of help, with some Nigerians wading in to join, in social media parlance, the “trolling” of their President.

Delivering a speech as the Special Guest of Honour during Ghana’s 61st Independence Anniversary Parade at the Black Star in Accra, President Buhari commended Akufo-Addo and Ghana’s parliament for passing the Special Prosecutor Bill to fight endemic corruption; adding that Nigeria will always be available to support Ghana in its bid to ensure that corruption is defeated.



“… Your Excellency, I can assure you that you have a good partner in me in tackling endemic corruption,” the Nigerian President said.

It will be quite difficult for you to commute within Lagos in a day and not come across motor park touts, popularly referred to as Agberos. These guys are responsible for collecting daily fees from transporters and sometimes they inflict pains and injuries on those that do not obey their rules and regulations l

According to Autojosh, there are some interesting facts about these motor park touts that most Lagos residents don’t know about.

Out of curiosity, I made some enquiries about area boys in Lagos and some of the findings are highlighted below.

1. Some earn more than bank workers:
Some executive Agberos earn as much as some bank executives. Also, some of the lower level agberos earn more than some contract staff of banks. However, they don’t have much to show for it as they typically spend most of their earnings on “Orisirisi” meat, women and other mundane interest. At Bukas and restaurants, a typical order by them is “Madam, give me N50 Amala and N2,500 meat”.

2. The police is their friend:
If you think the police is your friend, then try report an Agbero to them. The matter may just turn on your head. You know why? Some of the “men in black” are on the payroll of Agberos. They even have specific days and time they go to their parks to collect their usual “Roger”.

3. They run shifts and have off-days:
Surprisingly, these guys maintain a time-table like factory workers, and they stick to it. They don’t go to work on their off-days.

4. They live far from their place of work:
You would think every Agbero’s house is just a stone throw from the park or bus stops that they operate from. But on the contrary, many of them commute a long way to work. I encountered one who leaves around Ikotun but works in Surulere. The funny thing is, they get to work early. Sometimes as early as 5 AM.

5. They always have injury marks and stitches:
That’s their trademark and they boast about it. It reminds them of their escapades of how many bottles they have bursted.

6. Most of them were Mechanics:
Most of them were mechanics before they changed occupation. I remember a mechanic in my area while growing up. He was lazy and could not cope with the job. He quickly converted to an okada rider and later metamorphosed into a full blown area boy.


7. They have informants:
They are always the first to know anything happening in the area. Your neighbor might even be their snitch. You can’t even sneak a truck of sand into your house without them showing up.

8. Most of them die trying to get rich:
They keep trying but it is obviously more blessed to give than to receive. They are limited to just collect without adding value. To make matters worse, bulk of that money is cursed money and it vaporises into thin air like a candle in the wind. However, a few eventually get rich and even get traditional titles or political appointments.

According to viral reports, pregnant women in Ghana, are allegedly taking pills to bleach their unborn babies from dark to light… This is due to the general fact that most Ghanaian babies are born dark.


The pills work by creating chemical reactions that reduce the secretion of hormones that darken the skin of the child, making them light-skinned while they are still in the womb.

One of the drugs in question, Glutathione is one of the most talked-about supplements in the healthcare industry. However, mothers have begun manipulating its side effects to alter the complexion of their unborn babies.

Medical experts however says the drug use is illegal, as it can cause birth defects, including damage to the baby’s limb and internal organs.
Ghana‘s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says using these pills for this purpose is dangerous, adding it wants “the general public to know that no product has been approved by the FDA in the form of a tablet to lighten the skin of the unborn child”.


“The use of these drugs has gone to an alarming stage; it is ignorance that is making people do so,” the FDA’s head of cosmetics and household chemicals, Emmanuel Nkrumah, said at a media-sensitisation workshop on unapproved bleaching pills and products.

The only things] that you take orally should be food, toothpaste and mouthwash, and not bleaching pills,” Nkrumah said.
The practice is growing in Ghana, according to the FDA, with pills often smuggled into the country inside luggage at airports in large quantities.

Although comprehensive data has not yet been gathered, the body says market surveillance and stakeholder activity have helped to reveal the trend among women crosses socio-economic divides.


Security agencies and police are working together to arrest and prosecute companies and individuals in possession of the illegal tablets.

In Nigeria, skin bleaching creams are the fad. The practice is so common that there are grades, depending on the financial capacity of the interested party.

Nigerians are getting poorer - International Monetary Fund reports Lailasnews


Despite the country’s slow recovery from recession, Nigeria’s people are getting poorer despite the country’s slow recovery from recession and economic reforms are urgently needed, the International Monetary Fund has said. The Fund expects the government to “muddle through” in the medium term, and any progress could also be threatened if elections next year consume political energy and resources, it said in a report seen by Reuters on Wednesday.

Since emerging from recession in the second quarter of 2017, Nigerian officials have repeatedly boasted that they have set the economy back on track.
But critics say much of the recovery comes from a return to oil dependence after a rise in global oil prices and a rebound in crude production, more the result of militants in the Niger Delta halting attacks on oil facilities than of economic policy under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in the report that the outlook for growth had improved but remained challenging.
“Comprehensive and coherent” economic policies “remain urgent and must not be delayed by approaching elections and recovering oil prices,” it stated in its annual Article IV review of Nigeria’s economy.
“Higher oil prices would support a recovery in 2018 but a ‘muddle-through’ outlook is projected for the medium term under current policies, with fiscal dominance and structural constraints leading to continuing falls in real GDP per capita,” the IMF added.
In the report, it identified risks to growth, including additional delays to implementing policies and reforms ahead of the 2019 elections, security tensions, and oil prices, a fall in which could see capital flows reversed.
“Further delays in policy action, including because of pre-election pressures, can only make the inevitable adjustment more difficult and costlier,” the report added.
The lender repeated its call for Nigeria to simplify its complex foreign exchange system, a bugbear for the International Monetary Fund for more than a year, which has left large gaps between official rates and various windows that certain groups can use to get other rates.

“Moving towards a unified exchange rate should be pursued as soon as possible. The IMF staff does not support the exchange measures that have given rise to the exchange restrictions and multiple currency practices,” it stated.
The Fund further singled out the central bank, saying it should discontinue direct interventions in the economy.
The Central Bank of Nigeria frequently injects hundreds of millions of dollars into the foreign exchange market to keep its own rates stable.
Commercial banks struggling to remain solvent were also called out, but not identified by the IMF, including one that the lender said was already insolvent, adding, “Some of these banks are kept afloat through continuous recourse to the CBN's lending facilities.”
The IMF said it would not comment on purported leaks. A spokeswoman for the Fund said a statement would be issued after the lender’s board’s meeting to discuss its assessment on Friday.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Finance did not immediately respond to a phone call and email requesting comment.
