Romance / Re: Guy With No Car At 26 Irresponsible? Some Girls Still Think Like This In 2016? by IAMWEALTHY: 6:59pm On Feb 28, 2016

Ma Nigga! I still deh try comprehend whether na from her mouth she spit that thing or from her butt.

Please thes girls are Americans. The statement is not for African 26 year old guys but Amarican guys. In America, if you do not have a car or drivers licence at the age of 26, or still live with ur parents at d age of 23 even employers will think you are irresponsible.

In USA, you start driving by 16, enter college by 18, graduate by 21. You also are expected to get a part time job while in high school, move out of ur parents house by 18. If ur parents allow u to live in their house u must pay rent.

So pleaese, this is American culture and not African.

My parents are Nigerians and all my friends 23 - 25 year old have cars. Not to please anyone, but to go to work. Most employers will not hire you if u dont hv no car. Its also on your job application. They want to know if u hv a car to come to work if not forget it men.

Blame the drivers. They may have had some chemicals in their system which impaire their vision or judgement. The Terry G guy may have fallen asleep on the wheel, wchich caused the accident. Education / Re: Walden University Is On My Neck. by IAMWEALTHY: 4:27am On Feb 10, 2016
Compliance:
Hi fellow nairalanders, I need urgent and serious advices. I applied for a masters degree at Walden online university in 2013, I always had one of their agents calling me to consider studying with them since I showed my interest. He suggested the course I should put in for. That was masters in public health administration. Sincerely, he was too really on my neck then and I got his calls almost everyday. I guess is a white man. He's always calling to intimate me of the processes, until I got the admission letter, at a point he asked if I could be paying monthly.

I was sent some hard copy textbooks too. I started a few classes online, but when l started it was entirely something, I attended about 3 classes, did an assignment but didn't click with the way things were going. I wasn't used to all online lecture stuffs. Besides, I didn't flow because the course was basically based on the American system of health care delivery. I am and agric graduate, that course was like Latin to me.

I then lodged a complain to an advisor that I couldn't cope and besides its difficult keeping with classses due to several Nigerian factors. He said he'll look into it. Since that time I stopped attending the online classes and stopped totally. I attended the class like 3 times or four before I stopped. My laptop was latter stolen some few weeks after that and all materials were even gone.

After about a year I was called to pay up my school fees, I was like, what school fees? I didnt understand, I never wrote a test or exam let alone of obtaining a certificate. I told them I stopped long ago. They sent a few mails too trying to threaten me to pay up or they'll involve a third party, after about another year, They sent me a mail again, and I replied them the same thing, I even told them I would send the textbooks back to them, to me that was the only thing I can say I'm oweing them or I pay for them so they won't say Nigerians are corrupt. I told them my plight, I stopped working, and had no means of livelihood, a graduate looking for job and trying to make ends meet.

Some weeks ago I was contacted by some agents in Lagos about my indebtedness and that I must pay, I repeated the same response and explained to them that I'll pay for the textbooks and that I only did few classes not up to three weeks. They replied me that I must pay for those classes and the books when I converted the bill to Naira, it was above 400k. I was at first laughing it off, but I got a reminder again tonight.

Please I need urgent advises on what my actions could be. That amount is far too outrageous, even if they sell all I have right now, t won't pay the bill. Anyone that has encountered similar issue should please help with suggestions.

My brother, I understand your predicament. But as it stands now, there is nothing you can do to avert the payment. American school system is totally different fron nigerian system of education. In American system, once you have registered for a class and did not drop the said class/es before or the date the school set for dropping of classes you must pay for them. They dont care if you attended or not. Same goes to adding of class. There are dates set for adding and dropping of classes. I had same experience as a Freshman in 2004. Although, I was educated in America ( University of Houston, class of 2007), and that is why I am telling you this. This is my experience: I reluctantly registered for summer classes after a spring semester. I did not know for sure if I could be taking those classes or not, but I just registerd so that the class would not be full should I decide to take them. I only registerd for three classes. Human anatomy and physio, pre calculus, and Developmental psychology. To cut my story short, I got a summer job and when I saw that my job schedule would not fit my summer class shedule, I reluctantly did not attend classes and did not make any attempt to drop those classes. Summer class started on June 2nd, and final day to drop or add classes was June 9th. I did not check my school email and I just did not have a clue. So, in August of that same year, as i tried to register for Fall semester I was not allowed to register as they put hold on my school record. As I could not register online, I went into the record office to find out what the problem was, but lo and behold, I was owing $4,975.33. I was like, hell no! Sir, I paid my tuition and fees, room and board, I was not owing our campus book store or anything. They told me it was the classes I registered for summer. I tried to talk to the school president but she told me that is d policy. Well, I paid for it cuz if not I would not hv been able to register for Fall classs. Hard lesson! Only thing you will have to do now is write them a letter and explain that you did not understand their policies and system. Make a payment plan. In other words, tell them how much you will be paying every month or every year till you bring your account to zero balance. You can tell them you will be making payment of $100.00 or $150.00 a month. Now if you gonna make that commitment, you will have to keep up with it if not, you will start paying interest and late fees, which will hurt u pretty bad. This is only and only solution to it. There is never and i mean never anything else you can do to not pay for this situation/ your classes. They dont care whether you just register and never flip a page, but for as long as u did not drop those classes, even thogh you earned an F grade for not attending them, you must pay for it. American system. Same way a man marries a woman and get a divorce, the man will move out of his own house that he suffered to build or buy, while the woman occupies it. Yes, this is our American system, and we just live with it. So good luck to you. Hope it works out for u ma dear.

Tears run down my cheek as I type this. I went into d medical profession to Save lives, but today I watched a patient die and I could do nothing.
It was around 11am today, 26th Dec 2015, I wz in the emergency room as the only Dr & House officer on call in a state Specialist hospital wen a peugeot wagon followed by a police van drove in. They opened d doors & trunk and started bringing out Accident victims. I did a quick triage & saw dat d 2 in d trunk were in a more critical condition, So d immediate plan was to refer d 2 to FMC wia dey hav better hands and equipment to handle it. So I asked d policeman who d driver is so dat d 2 will be rushed to FMC & he said he died at d Accident scene. I ran outside to buy airtime to start calling other HOs, b4 I could return, dey had dropped d 2 & drove off.
I called other HOs, only 2 showed up, others had travelled. To my greatest suprise, I called a medical officer who is a snr colleague in d proffession, she said I shud nt touch anyone till dey paid. That I shud Infact refer all of dem. I was incapacitated, d patients were in pains, crying, calling on us to help, some already unconscious, but we couldnt help cos we have an order frm above.
Within 5mins, 1 young lady in her early 20s died. Abt 10mins later, another police van came and carried d remaining 7 to FMC.
This evening, some road safety corps came to inquire if any Accident victims were brought to our center. They had retrieved d manifest frm d vehicle and contacted d families of d passengers. Dey came wit d relations of one of d patients, and wen I told dem 1 of dem died, dey asked for d Description of d 1 dat died and I showed dem d pix of d gal dat died, behold she was d 1 dey were looking for and right there was the gal's fiancee. Their traditional wedding was to be in 3days tym
I want to use this medium to call on the govt to make policies dat"ll enable Drs treat patients in such condition. Let's Save the human race

My brother/sister you did your best, and God is your witness. But whoever gave the order not to care for those accident victims till they pay, hehehe.....God will never take tragidy away from his or her home. He or she may have money to pay when it will struck but he or she will die at the spot. This I pray this day in Jesus name. We and our family members shall see the end of this year and beyond in the name of Jesus... Amen.

Is this from his personal money of from the allocation given to him to pay wokers and improve their lives? I'm not trying to discredit him or whatever, but nigerians should stop praising or worshiping these politicians as if they are the almighty God or something. When governors construct 500 meters road with our money the people start singing their praises. The money is from us Nigerian and for us and will be of us. If these governors live by their monthly salaries, use our money and build infrastructures like they should, foreigners would flood into nigeria and invest and our men and women will have jobs. Curses on all thiefery governrs and their entire generation born and unborn.

[quote author=CrazyMan post=12642409]Hi everyone...

I've been carrying this burden in my heart for some time now, and I feel its time I let it out.

Dear christians, you're gradually replacing our lord's name (Christ) with the letter X why?

To be honest its very bad...we're christians, we carry the image of christ not X. So I see no reason why people should say I'm an Xtian or merry Xmas etc.

X if you're a mathematics student simply means unknown. So replacing christ name with X simply means that you have an unknown identity.

It means you no longer bear the image of christ, but an unknown image.

This should be your problem and not mine. Who made you more hollier than others? Too much religious people in Nigeria still, they don't know the meaning of love. The reason we write xmas instead of christmas is also the reason we write luv instead of love. You got it? This does not mean we do not love Christ. White man brought you the word of God, xmas, and other festive celebrations we do today, but we Nigerians pretend to know better. I am tired of being sick and tired of this so-called nigerian christian hypocrites. Religion and relationship is personal, so keep it to yourself.

Crime / Re: Secondary School Cultist Stabs Boy With ‘poisoned Knife’ •victim’s Leg Amputated by IAMWEALTHY: 5:47am On Sep 13, 2015
myners007:
When 16-year-old boy, Oluwadamilare Olugbamu, left home for school on the morning of July 1, 2015, he probably didn’t know the magnitude of danger that was ahead of him.

Shortly after the young lad had left the compound of his Nawarudeen Secondary School, Jibowu, Lagos, at the close of school hours, he was attacked with a knife by another 16-year-old boy suspected to be a cult member.

The assailant, Idris Ajagbe, a pupil of Birel Secondary School, Lagos, stabbed him in the left thigh, with a knife, which the family said might have been poisoned.

Eleven days after the attack, his left leg was amputated at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos because blood no longer flowed through it.

Again on August 15, the same leg had to be re-amputated again because it continued to bleed without healing.

This bizarre case has left a lot of questions than answers on the issue of cult groups in secondary schools in Nigeria.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that there has been an enmity between pupils of Birel Secondary School, Yaba, and Lagos City College, Yaba on one side and Nawarudeen Secondary School and Mainland Secondary School, Yaba on the other side.

But matters came to the head on July 1, when the school rift snowballed into an all-out attack against pupils of Nawarudeen Secondary School.

According to Oluwadamilare’s sister, Opeyemi, the students of these schools were always bullying one another on their way home from school.

“The day my brother was attacked, there was a football match between students of Nawarudeen and Mainland. It was during the match that the fight started. It was not serious until the students left school and started going home,” Opeyemi told our correspondent.

Oluwadamilare, who is still in excruciating pain on hospital bed as a result to the two amputations he has suffered, explained that he was going home when pupils of Lagos City College Started to throw stones at students of Nawarudeen.

According to him, pupils of his own school decided to retaliate by throwing stones back at the aggressors too.

Soon, the fight escalated as a student of Lagos City College allegedly brought out a cutlass and inflicted a cut on one of the pupils of Nawarudeen.

“The boy that was cut struggled to take the cutlass away from the Lagos City College boy. When he collected the cutlass, he retaliated by cutting the boy in the head. When we all saw blood gushing out of the boy’s head, we ran away,” Oluwadamilare said.

But the matter did not end there. In fact, Oluwadamilare’s worst nightmare was about to become reality.

On his way home, he saw a cousin in the company of some pupils of Lagos City College and Birel Secondary School and called out to him. Oluwadamilare said his hope was that he would leave the company of the boys and accompany him home.

But as soon as the other boys with his cousin sighted him, they ran after him, stoning him as they did so.

Oluwadamilare said he fell down after one of the boys identified as Tosin Ogidiolu of Birel Secondary School kicked him.

The boys allegedly pounced on him, beating and kicking him as he lay on the ground begging them to stop.

As the mob continued their action on Oluwadamilare, one of them (Idris Ajagbe, whom other pupils attested to being a cult member) drew out a knife and stabbed him in the thigh.

As they beat him, his cousin begged them to stop, but some of them, who were armed with metal pipes, continued to beat him until he fell unconscious.

The boys ran away only when he became unconscious, it was learnt.

Oluwadamilare’s sister explained that a teacher, who was passing by and saw the boy bleeding and unconscious, decided to rush him to the hospital, where his injuries were dressed and the knife wound was stitched.

“By the time I was informed and rushed to the hospital, my brother’s leg had swollen so big. We had to report the case to the Sabo Police Division after that,” Opeyemi said.

However, doctors at the hospital where his wound was dressed realised all was not well with the boy when he continued to scream in pain and the leg continued to swell.

He was referred to the surgical emergency ward of LASUTH the following day, where it was decided that nothing could be done to save the leg. A number of tests were conducted while some consultants were summoned to examine the leg. But Oluwadamilare’s fate was sealed.

After the first amputation, Oluwadamilare was said to have bled so much that he required 21 pints of blood before the leg had to be re-amputated.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that Ajagbe has since been on the run. Before he fled, he dropped a note at home for his mother, explaining that he decided to run away from home because he stabbed someone to death.

But the police were able to round up the other pupils involved in the attack along with Oluwadamilare’s cousin.

Seven of the boys were charged before a Yaba Magistrate’s Court, Lagos for offences ranging from hooliganism, conspiracy to felony. The case was adjourned till November 23.

Romance / Re: 5 Signs To Know Your Girlfriend Is Not Loyal In A Relationship by IAMWEALTHY: 4:54am On Sep 12, 2015
Rapmoney:
It shouldn't be an issue to debate on that 'love' and 'loyalty' are two different phenomenons entirely, yet, they go hand-in-hand with each other. Getting loyalty from the 'modern' Nigerian city girls sometimes, could be like the proverbial camel passing through the eyes of the needle, as projected by Christ in the Holy Bible!!! wink...and especially, when your funds are low!

The average Nigerian girl that lives in the city might be a pain in the ass for you if you take her issues so seriously; carrying it on your head as if it was your destiny...especially, the flashy and trendy ones whose only dream in life is to surround themselves with as much material things as they can get wink. This situation might even prove worse when you are not aware of the ingredients that can bring about this loyalty. It is true that no one can be absolutely loyal, as other factors sometimes play their roles but disloyalty can be curtailed seriously when in relationship

1) She disappears during festive periods: If you are dating a Nigerian babe and she is fond of disappearing during festive times such as Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day, Easter, Eide-Kabir, etc, just know she is the disloyal type. She fake herself to be so busy during these times and absolutely make herself unavailable to you! She's probably in the warm hands of another man who she feels can cater for her expensive taste and needs during the celebration season!!! Young man, you have no business with such a lady! I thought festive seasons were meant to be enjoyed together with friends and loved ones o:

2) She uses baseless excuses to explain her unavailability: Disloyal ladies hardly spend quality time with you except they stand to gain one material benefit or the other from you! To you, you are in a relationship. To them, it is 'business' as usual! cheesy. They always put the blame on rain, too much sunshine, breeze, traffic, friend's wedding, etc, to avoid meeting with you but just tell her to come and collect a large sum of money you promised her and she will happily take the next available cab even if the whole rain in China, Vietnam and Cambodia combined is nothing compared to the rain pouring in the area where she resides!!! grin. Observe watchfully, bro! wink

3) She is so familiar with the joints you have taken her to and the regular male visitors there: She would know the prices of the range of drinks they have and the amounts they sell the ranges of foods they have in these places!!! She attracts 'funny' eye contacts and body languages from male folks around often and she sometimes wave at them when you act as if you are not looking! grin. How did she come to know about these places and what they offer if she hasn't been taken to these places by different men on several occassions?

4) Her phone hardly rings in your presence: Yes! Funny as it sounds, it is true. It is a tactful act that you should be a aware of...'your' girl (everybody's friend) could be the disloyal type. If she switches off her phone, you might suspect so she might put an old sim card that no one calls to disguise as a 'good girl' in your presence. This is an expo...if you notice something like this too often when she visits, try to call her number on your phone and see if it goes. If it doesn't, don't try to bother her on why she is using another sim she didn't tell you about!!! Just know she is the disloyal type! You have an option...you can get up and dust your ass to save yourself further stress!!! wink

5) She spends your money but you can never see her penny: If she is the type that keeps her 20k to feast on your little 5k, just see her as disloyal! I wonder how some young men spend hugely on ladies who have never bought them a boxers or singlet before! Relationship is give and take. If she gives you sex and nothing more for the financial benefits she gets from you, then she's a pros!!! If not, what's the transaction between a guy and a pros? Money for hand=back for ground grin grin. After all, who yansh dor help abeg!

Shine your eyes and be a Realist!!!
In the name of success, all women are bound to be loyal and confess

that you are the man!!!

This is totally baseless. That a woman knows about all the joints and resturants in town, and that she knows how much their foods are drinks are does not mean disloyalty. That a womans phone does not ring when she is with you shows she respects you and not otherwise. Please try and come up with the good reasons. Well it all depends on the types of ladies you are talking about. There are lots of ladies who work very hard for their money. These ladies work monday through friday, and weekends they move around the town to have fun with friend and family, go from one joints to the other with their own money, check out the menu and other fun-fair they have going on in town.

I don't know who is to believe in this fictional movie playing by Emeka Ike and his astrange wife.

I believe tha there is no smoke without fire. Nothing makes a sane woman who is loved and cared by her husband leave her home. I think there is some sorts of unbearable batery/abuse going on under their roof. Neighbors may not hear her cry for help, there may not be an eye withness, but believe me, this woman has endured both emotional and psychological abuse from both her husband and monster-inlaw. I cannot vividly say anything about physical abuse, because she ought to have sustain some kind of injuries that would have raised an eyebrow from one of her friend or family members.

A learned woman in this case, should have first of all hired a lawyer, file for a divorce, seek custody of the children, and also, asks for transitional support. Allowing another strange man rent a place for her and her two children is not wise, because she is still married and the father of those children is still alive.

I think Emeka's mother poisoned his heart over his beautiful wife. I think she might be jealous about her sharing her son's wealth with her ( even though she wanted him to get married). I think Emeka's mother wanted him to marry a woman she can and will be able to control, but I guess she was dissapointed. She probably tells Emeka how much he should give her to prepare dinner, how much to give her to get her hair done, and she would perhaps tell Emeka that his wife does not know how to cook or not a good mother to his children. So, when Emeka returns from movie set, he pounce on his wife in the name of "trying to correct her".

Emeka knows his wife well enough before he got married to her. How comes he turn around and say that she has a bad attitude? I know Nigerian men so well. No matter how juicy a woman's p##sy tastes, if she has a bad behavior he would never marry her. The problem here is Emeka's mother, which no one seems to talk about. She left her house and moved into her sons house. Not like something is wrong with that, but that is where the problem started from. Two women fighting to be number one.

A man that passionately and deeply loves his wife, mother of his children, will never make her cry. That man will always pull her closer and not hurt her. When a man is inlove with his wife, he trys everything to create peace between the two women in his life (mom and wife) and not take sides. Letting the wife know that he does not play with his mom's affairs, and also let his mom know that his wife is his love and life.

This family fracas has gone beyond repair hence, the wife is no longer inlove with him. For Emeka asking her to come back for the sake of the kids is totally and embarrassingly laughable.

While this is a family and private matter that has been blown out of proportion, our society has to stand up against abuse and violence against women. I just wish we can respect their privacy, but unfortunately, that is the prize celebrities pay for fame.
