@obijack, from d pics u have posted it is obvious your nile signals are there 4 d taking, if the present position is w3 then there's no obstruction whatsoeve, like u have been told, start from nss 7 and hit like 97db signal level by aligning and skewin of lnb then proceed to nile which is like tracking multi tv using Ds.v as starting point. Remember when u hit nss 7 and u are standing in front of the dish, move gradually to your right and up to hit 7 degrees. Do that patientlly ok ? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by Ibaku(m): 4:10pm On Mar 02, 2010 |
@obijack, ok i feel u but if its possible u can post a photo of the dish while it is in that w3 position, make sure u get the fence and the westside, let everyone here have a birds eye view of what difficulties u are having with d nile. Cheers. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by Ibaku(m): 12:23pm On Mar 02, 2010 |
@obijack, i recall dejsam telling u to track from the west using nss 7 as starting point, its closer to nile than w3 in terms of azimuth. Just make sure ur set up is ok by hitting 98% on the first tp on nss 7 ku and if u are standing in front of ur dish move gradually to ur right and up untill u see the sign, dont even know the equipments u are using ? |

Dejsam: @all,
this is a good news for us all in some few months to come
Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) participates in The Middle East & North Africa Satellite Show (CABSAT) on 2nd-4th March at Dubai World Trade Center.
Eng. Khalid Balkheyour president&CEO of Arabsat, said that “Arabsat is always keen to participate in the specialized exhibitions to offer new services in the field of satellites business such as digital television, HDTV, broadband services and many other services in addition to highlighting the unique features of its satellites including the different coverages currently available or will be carried on the new Arabsat fleet. It is planned to launch two new satellites during the next two months, to expand the capacities of Arabsat fleet, to cover the entire African continent, and to provide emergency reserved capacities in orbit. Also two other satellites will be launched in 2011, 2012, respectively, reaching Arabsat Investments in upgrading its fleet up to $ 1.6 billion.” @Dejsam, that means better reception of nilesat n badra signals in our region, i wonder how our (pay every month) guys would take these pieace now !!!! |

captainus: @George-D
Those channels on W2A are DVB-S2 mpeg4 and I doubt if the 63x can get them.Try the 69x or any mpeg4 receiver.Good luck @ George, like i said b4 only 3937 is accessable with srt 4669x, the discovery tp remains a mystery. Anyone with above 2.4 m dish should try out the discovery tp lets see how it goes. Those of us claiming to see green on that tp should try and back it up with pix. |

George_D: Hmmmm! Looks like I'm really missing out on this w2a package with my strong offset lnb. The thing just refused to turn green!
I'm definitely going to change back to supermax extended c-band lnb so I can join the action! @George_D, Bros D, im not thinking whatever is happening on that bird has anything to do with your lnb, i believe a lot of testing is still being done. If u are unable to lock on the signals of 3927 v 8300, then your best bet for now should be 3939 v 8799. Just set your lnb the way it is done when u track sabc, then move to 7 degrees east ku position and track your 10 degrees. If u get a full red bar, say 64% and it refuses to turn green, tight the bolts there. Watch out after some hours green will gradually come to stay. (my experience). |
