Which school are u applying for

for all those who wish to come and study in Estonia. Its now compulsory u must have taken English proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS if you are applying for schools such as Tallinn University of Technology and Tartu University. But if u are planning to study non science related courses such as MBA, u dont need such test. This is only specific for Tallinn University of Technology.
Also for Tallinn University, u dont need any English exam or test. by having ur language of instruction document from your school is okay.

guy please I want to apply for tallinn university and they are requesting secondary school certificate of record, how will go about it

My advice about Estonia is quite simple, do not come here if your intention is to work (a white collar job) to support your studies. Jobs are hard to come by, not because you are black, but because the jobs are not so many in the labour market. Also this issue of racism is sometimes taken too extreme and I do not know why. This is 2014 and racism in Estonia is relatively very very low. If you are in a school town environment like Tartu, you might be looked at strangely by older folks purely because they've actually not seen a black person in their whole life, but the younger lads (18 - 30) are very cool and even most times like blacks out of curiosity. Estonians are very shy but if you get to know them they are very nice people. If you come to Tartu to study, try staying at the Raatuse dorm because there's a lot of international students here and you would find it to be a wonderful experience.

Regarding skinheads, they actually are almost nonexistent right now though once in a blue moon you could see a skinhead or a NeoNazi clown but they rarely get violent (Never seen anyone yet though). You could be called a nigga a lot of times but as a Nigerian I dont see the Nigga word as a big deal though all my African American friends always make a fuss if they're called Niggas by whites, also in Estonia the word Neega is used to refer to black people so it might not necessarily be a racist slur but just somebody trying to explain that you're african. The downside though is that Estonia is f**king cold and you could get quite a lot of white nights.

If you want to enjoy your stay as a student in Estonia, please have your own money. The cost of living isn't high at all and with 250euros per month you could survive comfortably (provided you are staying in a dorm)....... plus students get a lot of discounts too.

Estonian education is getting better by the day but that has also made it very competitive lately due to the high increase of international students from neighboring Baltic countries and also Finland (Though Finland is considered a Nordic country). Estonia is quite beautiful during summer and quite a lot of the young generation actually understands simple and easy English.

All in all, I am trying to say if you want to come to estonia for purely study purpose with adequate finance for your studies and are not one with an extravagant lifestyle, 1million naira for an academic year would cover costs (not including accomodation, but accomodation in hostels are affordable. Maximum of 100euros per bed in a twin room). The headache though would be getting into the universities because without a first class, your chances of being admitted are quite slim, not to talk of getting a scholarship.

Estonian language classes can be taken as credit or non credit courses and my honest advice to anyone planning to come to Estonia is to take advantage of it and learn the Eesti language. You would surely be more appealing to even the older folks who haven't seen black people if they notice you can speak their language.

Lastly, always make sure you try going somewhere out of Estonia during summer. At least try visiting another country during one of your summer holidays if you come here to study. I'd advice Siena in Italy. The impression that all courses in Estonian universities are actually free is very very wrong...... Some courses actually require you to pay tuition fees so be very careful

Goodluck everyone
pls bro how do you get your study permit I want to apply next year but don't know how to go about the vias here in Nigeria

This is hart braking, after all the preparation, I mail vaasa they said that they made the decision due to over population of Nigeria applicants last application period, so they decide to accept only ghanians this period, but I believe other things must be behind it, nigeria is having bad record on daily basis due to boko haram, last ebola, and corrupt politicians, this affect how foreigners treat us, and it will also affect visa processing this days.

All I know is that I will never discourage any from traveling abroad. I have done that before but after I found out what is going on in this country I decided to stop it. Our politicians are Inhuman they don't have any good plan for us they are our problem here, noting wrong with the entity called Nigeria, tell me any prominent nigerian his or her children school and base here in Nigeria, even if they do they all have private home abroad, so if you have opportunity of travel please do, but don't try to live illegal cos it will affect you. We are not the only country that love traveling, china, india travel more than us despite their buoyant economy. No let any body to discourage you if you have they opportunity pls go hustle in a right way and come and invest in 9ija, wish all success.

Guy what you will do now is to write to UK embassy request for withdrawal of your passport and know their response, they don't have any reason to seize your passport, they only punishment they will give you is 10 years ban and UK is not only destination you know. When you get your passport you are 100% percent free to apply for any other country try asia or America don't try any EU this moment, do visa by your self its very easy and cheap. Walk to any embassy of your choice ask for visa requirement, get all of them collect your visa. simple, Agents are made for illiterates and ignorant people.
Travel / Re: On Nigerians And The 'must Travel Mentality' by ibe003(m): 6:28pm On Sep 23, 2014
Who is condemning travel what did your country have to offer with about 60% unemployed youth and with poor education system, no mater your academic background be ready to start afresh when you get to western world because you can never get a job with your nigerian master degree even if it is security work, to show you how far our country is, traveling is a part of education, just travel abroad and find legal job no matter how small it is just try to remain legal, you will be far off better than your counterparts here in nigeria.

why do make that kind of mistake, how much will it cost you to visit gahana and come back, it will not cost you more than 20k and you get your passport stamped. You don't need to do another passport because. It not easy to get another passport while you still have your old one, they will give you but you will pass a lot of query. I hate all this so called agents,
