@michelin89 He looks like her brother. They have the same nose, the nose that makes Mercy average!I think that what actually makes them suit each other, they look alike so the compliment each other and look cute together ![]() |
@ Stagger If all these people chanting "let us divide" here on NL have been to Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo and other republics that fought each other after the break-up of Yugoslavia to see the himan carnage that occured, no one will be saying this rubbish. The Country is already neatly divided by the river Niger, it was previously 2 separate countries until 1914. Also those Countries u mention aren't nearly close in population to Nigeria, and they're almost the same people with same cultures; speaking different dialects of the same language. |
margaritav:Sorry the few Ibibio wedding websites that i knew were close then, but I tried to describe the dressing of ibibios. Anywhere here is one website that shows an ibibio wedding and dressing, like I said before the coral beads isn't neccessary and the cap is usualy a black cap with woven embroidery with matching shoes for the men. http://ekaandtommy.com/8/5-TRUE-5.htm |
complete lie. and there is every possibility that he makes more money in Nigeria than he can ever make abroad. This is usually the case. Just like you want us to believe that not every one who has moved abroad from Nigeria is doing badly, it is very true also that not everyone that moves back to Nigeria will do badly, in fact, there are millions in Nigeria who will never toy with the idea of leaving their jobs and businesses in Nigeria for an un secured future in a strange man's land. It is completely wrong to assume that a return to Nigeria is a return to doomsday.Quite Right was born in USA but grew up in Nig! But I go bck visiting so often like 2wice a yr. With improvement in the government Living in & raising a family in Nigeria is Better, cos its less stress & can always retire, but in US could be working ur whole life! Visiting Abroad on holidays especially in the summer is great. |
@MaziUche0 We don't find many Ibibios in this part. How far? I am half Ibibio. . . Do you speak Ibibio.Yep! Abadie? Ato uke ke nke ibibio? |

I think your confused by the first picture that's not miss Ghana, scroll down and look through the pictures and you will see Miss Ghana, she's dark skin and looks like a typical Ghana girl. |
THE AMAKA:She's just Ok, has a nice smile. |

They always choose the ugly ones to compete in the Miss Universe, and the pretty ones for miss world. Am yet to see a beautiful miss Nigeria universe. |
Aloy.Emeka:There are many differences between Efik and Ibibio, difference in dressing Efik wear a gown and Elaborate hair dress etc. Ibibio tie 2 wrappers with a blouse, like most south easterners but without coral beads. Also difference in marriage traditions, Efiks coach the bride to be in fattening rooms and there are ceremonies before the actual marriage, Ibibios don't. Efik traditions is Rule by Ekpe secret society, Ibibio don't have Ekpe, different traditional gods and different greetings. There are many other differences, the only similarity between Efik and Ibibio is the food and language; although most young Ibibios growing up in Akwa Ibom will only understand a little Efik in the future, since Efik language isn't used in Akwa Ibom. The most similar ethnic group in Akwa Ibom to Efik is Oron. Please refer to this websites for pictures; Efik http://esopefik.tripod.com/efiktradition.html and Efik https://www.nairaland.com/478074/post-pictures-traditional-weddings/10 http://www.namywedding.com/dream-weddings/22, Ibibio https://www.nairaland.com/478074/post-pictures-traditional-weddings/16 |
