Origin of generational porverty. Be guided oOoOO, Dem no dey tell person. I know lots of ladies that emotions beclouded their sense of reasoning and got entangled. Many got divorced or about to or separated. Some graduates are doing hard labour just to feed kids, others simply ran and abandoned their young families. Be careful of humble beginnings approach, hardship is real.
MOGs and motivational speakers have lead many astray and it hits the ladies harder. Dem go encourage you to marry but still charge you for wedding ceremony in cash or kind 🤷

I laugh when I hear time wasters
Regardless of gender, let’s agree this is happening in Nigeria, only that one gender may be experiencing it more than the other.

Lol....Frustration?? Are u trying to be hilarious or ur babe monitors ur comment on nairaland

U are viewing marriage like a piece of bread ..relationships are not black and white ..

..no one meets a woman and know from the start he will marry her...only desperate pple do that...people date and at some point decide to take it to the altar...

More than half of the time, women are the ones guilty of ur so called time wasting...because they are the ones that will say yes to dating you for money, for sex, just for the fun of it because they don't have any one they can put some of their responsibilities on at the time....

You will hear them say..."i ddnt like him initially because he wasn't my spec...but I said because yes because he's nice, gives me gift" .....

.both men and women should set realistic goals, look out for red flags and stop assuming everyone they meet owes them a marriage just because they agreed to date....
If you look at what I've been posting here very well, you'll see I haven't been biased based on gender. I'm not trying to be hilarious or being monitored by anyone; I post what I genuinely think. Relationships are complex, and I agree with you that they are not black and white. People often date to understand each other better, and it's normal for the journey to evolve over time. Both men and women need to be realistic and mindful of their expectations and actions in relationships.

Y'all just like making womwn victims in every of their dealing with men...is it ásslicking or forming over righteous??
I understand your frustration, but it’s important to recognize that acknowledging women's challenges in relationships or interactions with men doesn't mean all men are at fault. It's about highlighting where things can be improved for mutual respect and understanding. It's not about ass-licking or trying to be righteous; it's about standing up for what's fair and creating a balance where both men and women are treated with respect.

I always say, "A broken relationship is better than a broken marriage." He should actually be thankful they haven’t tied the knot yet, rather than stressing over it now. In every relationship or marriage that isn't working, the red flags were there from the beginning, but sometimes we ignore them, thinking things will change. The truth is, a relationship or marriage should bring peace, not distress. It's important to recognize when things aren’t right early on and make decisions that protect your mental and emotional well-being. Sometimes, ending things before it gets more complicated is the best choice for both parties involved. Here I dropped my pen 🖊️

When you’re still indulging in the other side of the package, it's easy to overlook. Sometimes, it's not about being forced, but about the temporary pleasure that blinds you to the bigger picture.

Unfortunately he is right.
Just in a week we have had two cancelled marriage plans by women on Front page.
One for not going to his church, the other was because of abroad based maga.
Though I prefer a broken relationship than divorce but it is what it is
Yeah I read it too, let to think of the ones we don't hear or see, those situations definitely seem wild, And sometimes people are just being true to themselves. A broken relationship might hurt, but it's often better than staying in something that isn’t right for either person. At the end of the day, both parties need to be aligned on values and intentions, or it's just setting up for more problems down the line.

A REAL WOMAN should not be talking about what a real man is except she is actually a man.

You have breast and toto but you are a professional at knowing who A REAL MAN is and all the things he should or shouldn't do as long as it fits into your profit and advantage scheme.
You’re right, but what you said doesn't really match the topic. It’s not about who’s allowed to define a "real man", we all have opinions, regardless of gender. Just because a woman has breasts and a "toto" doesn’t mean she can’t spot a real man! We’re all talking about mutual respect and honesty here, not running a profit-making scheme. Let’s not act like only men can know what makes a man real, everybody’s got their version!

How can a woman be time waster? Her biological clock is ticking while you're getting free tuotuo
A woman wasting time isn’t doing herself any favors, especially with her biological clock ticking, while the guy might just be enjoying the moment without real intention. She has more to lose if she’s not careful.

So what’s stopping you from being with him, fear, timing, or something else? If he makes you come alive like that, isn’t it worth exploring, even if just to see where it leads?

Why dear men?

Ok you haven’t met some women who are time wasters too?

As e dey for man na so e dey for woman too…nobody holy pass
True, nobody holy pass, but let’s be real, the rate at which men waste women’s time is on another level.

A lot of men will lead women on, make promises they have no intention of keeping, and keep the relationship going with no real plans. Some will date for years with no commitment, knowing they’re not ready but won’t let the woman go either.

Yes, women waste time too, but if we’re comparing stats, men often take the crown in time-wasting Olympics.

What says about women who keep chopping men's money, knowing that they will leave the man, once they find someone better
Some women do take advantage in relationships even men too, but that doesn't define all women. People should be judged individually, some are users, but many are genuine and sincere. It's more about character than gender.

Did the man weld her with a welding machine or used super glue to glue her down in the relationship?

She can also take a walk if it's not working.

Women don't even wait for men to allow them go. They take a walk once their mathematics is not adding up with you.

Any woman that stays with a man for long has already done her mathematics and the man is her best offer for that period.
Not all women stay in relationships because they've calculated the man is their best option—many stay for love, hope, or emotional reasons. Likewise, not all women leave quickly; some hold on despite challenges. Relationships are built on mutual respect, not force or manipulation, and decisions to stay or leave are more emotional than logical.

I'm not saying that Samuel is originally a Nigerian name, please don’t get me wrong. What I meant is that most Nigerian Christians usually choose names from the Bible when naming their children.

As for Nigerian names, I typically have both a tribal first and last name, which are quite common. However, I don't feel the need to showcase them here, as I'm more focused on something serious and meaningful in this context.
RomanceStop Wasting Her Time — Be Intentional Or Let Her Go by Ibkay32(op): 5:01pm On Apr 10, 2025
Dear men,
It is both a waste of time and deeply unfair to be in a relationship with someone you have no intention of marrying. If you don’t already see her as a potential wife, please don’t lead her on. Stop dating her and allow those who are genuinely serious about building a future to have the chance.

Relationships aren’t just for fun or convenience , they’re a journey toward commitment and partnership. Don’t hold someone’s heart hostage while you “figure things out.” Be honest, be intentional, and don’t play with emotions you don’t plan to honor.

A real man respects time, values feelings, and leads with clarity. If it’s not heading anywhere meaningful, let her go. She deserves better, and deep down, so do you.

Funny how life works, right? Riches often attract the spotlight—and with that spotlight come the baddies who love the glitz and instant luxury. But when you're broke or still building, the ones who stick around tend to see you, not your wallet. They ride through the grind, not just the glory. One values the now, the other invests in the Future.

Other countries don't have same weather with Nigeria.

Imagine taking cornflakes as breakfast to work in a city like Lagos. After staying 3 hours in traffic, you must be exhausted and can't function for the whole day.

To withstand the chaos in Lagos, Fufu or Amala for breakfast is advisable.
You might be right in one way or other, but It’s not about how much you eat, it’s about how you manage your energy. You could have a plate of amala, and still find yourself exhausted by the time you hit the third pothole in Lagos. What do you think those carbs are doing to you? Making you slow and sluggish!

Those Stuffs are for Babies and Invalids in the Hospital. sad
Lol, it’s only in Nigeria you’ll hear that men who eat cornflakes, Golden Morn, or Coco Pops are weaklings. Meanwhile, in other countries, a man eats cereal, drinks almond milk, meditates, and still closes million-dollar deals before 10am.

But here?
Once a man isn’t sweating over hot yam, hot Eba and pepper sauce at 6am, he’s suddenly “not man enough.”
Like calm down bro.

Do you know somebody for comment still dey ask am how was he betrayedhuh Like Wtf
I believe social media is largely responsible for this. The reality is, not everyone possesses the ability to comprehend or critically understand information, even when it's communicated in their own native language.

There’s something we call information processing capacity, the mental ability to interpret, analyze, and draw meaning from content. Sadly, not everyone is equipped with the same level of this capacity. Social media, with its fast-paced and often sensationalized content, overwhelms many users, making it even harder for them to distinguish facts from misinformation.

As a result, we see people misinterpreting messages, spreading false narratives, or reacting emotionally to things they don’t fully grasp. It’s not always a matter of intelligence, but often a lack of digital literacy, emotional maturity, or the patience to reflect before responding.
