opsy4real1: i applied at abuja and it took 12working days to process. Yes,u can apply at Lagos if u aint in a hurry to travel and u dnt mind ur application wait for long up till 3 months atimes to finalize. The choice is yours to submit either at lagos or abuja .and yes u wil get ur visa anywhere u chose to apply if u properly package ur documents and are genuine.

thanks i think i will go to abuja. you know am a first time traveler please where will i go straight to inside the embassy to apply ? and they say i must book an hotel so i can use the confirmation for my application, what if i pay for the hotel and God forbid they dont issue me the visa,it means i have lost my money.is there any way i can get the hotel confirmation without payment or even 10percent payment.thanks

Babaelemu: guy your a stubborn soul. Its like your suffering time has come by going to georgia. You're too blind and very eager to travel. You lack to seek information first coz georgia is white man country? And you will be taking on plane. You go there if you don't suffer like hell (coldness, language barrier, white man slavery, no jobs, food, accommodation, hatred, sickness, depression) 'no be my mama born me'.

where did you apply for you visa please ? and can i apply in lagos and get ?

collinsfbi: I don't really agree with the reason for your denial, though i don't know the type of Yellow card you submitted but cards issued at the airport are generally accepted. I think the reason was just an excuse to deny you. For the sake of other, i will try as much as possible to upload a copy of the accepted Yellow card in and out for others to see, as that is what i use personally. Meanwhile you can get another cards and reapply but try as much as possible to simplify your application by submitting simple verifiable documents as follow:

1.Your passport.
2.Paid Hotel reservation
3.Flight reservation with South African airways.
4.Yellow card
5.My letter of introduction from your hospital
6.A letter of reference from your doctors' association in the hospital.
7.Your bank statement. (the 420k is ok)
8.Write a detail visa application letter to include the your reasons for visiting and assurance that you will come back.
9.Marriage cert if you are married (optional)
10.Consent letter from your wife if married(optional)
11.Evidence that you will come back to your country (A letter of absent from work/leave letter)

The course is an online course but it requires contact periods at the beginning of each semester. This contact time is 2weeks
at the beginning of the semester. I have a good job in Nigeria and have no intention of living in SA. What counsel would you
give me. will it be easier to get the permit in SA at my next visit via visitors visa?

collinsfbi: You can present the hotel reservation you used for the visa processing if it's paid, valid and correspond with your flight itinerary but if you intend to stay longer that the number of days initially decleared in reservation used during visa processing, you can as well use another reservation without pay as long as it correspond with your flight itinerary when flying.

Pelumiv: what this means is that you have to have a flight itinerary to show them which can be verified. You can show them a booking from any airline. If you pay for the ticket and you don't get the visa, then that is a waste. Read the thread from the beginning you find your answer.

agatha4life: Have you tried booking.com?You can book or make reservation with booking. com without payment. All you need to do is to make a reservation with your card details and pay when you get to the hotel. You can also cancel your reservation at any time if you want.

Not sure the actuall amount now for repatrition fees in 9ja but thinks it should be around 110,000k and ask him to mail the documents direct to you by mail and not fax.

Emiss4: Getting a south africa visa is not difficult..the embassy offers 3 month visa,2- 3 weeks duration for processing,requirement 4 sa visa includes yellow cards,statement of account,valid international passport,2 passport photography,company's letter head(optional),invitation letter(optional),ticket itineary,and hotel reservation..4 more info and update u guys in addition getting a visa @ lagos embassy is difficult unlike abuja embassy..the duratin in lagos embassy takes time up to a month..

henrychubayo: The simple answer is yes. I went to SAQA office to day to collect my own evaluation certificate. The transcript i submitted was addressed to a company here and i went with it to saqa and they told me that as far as it is a true transcript of my academic records from my school, i can photocopy it, certify it in police station or post office and bring it to them which i did. We drove from Daar to Mbeya without seeing a single pothole. That's a 12hr drive man. The people are really nice.

Naija needs to stop looking at US and UK. Many African countries are much better than nigeria now o. Africans need to explore Africa

It is visa free, u just pay 50 dollars at the port of entry. Stay at the peacock hotel if you are in daar.

I hope to go back someday.
