please i am going to south africa by invitation of which all documents are ready. but i dont know if i still need ticket booking or flight intenary for my application.if it is compulsory, is it must i book with any card(master card, visa card e.t.c because i dont have any)please i need your help because i am about submitting my papers.

I am a young qualified and self employed Computer Engineer (computer repairer), my purpose of writing this letter is to inform you about vacation to south Africa of which I will be planning to move on the 18th of July 2013 and will be coming back in one (1) or two(2) weeks time due to my work schedule. I will be the one taking care of my living expenses and accommodation while on my vacation in south Africa.
I would be grateful for all courtesies extended to me in the Application for an Entry Clearance to the Republic of South Africa and I solemnly swear & promise not to over stay in the republic, I will be returning to my back to Lagos, Nigeria even before valid permit expires.

collinsfbi: For those who have one question or the other about Vaccination card, the images below show how authentic vaccination card issued by the Port Health Authority looks like.
Your card must be of international health regulations standard from(2005 and above)
Must contain date, stamp and signature of professional status of vaccinator
Must contain manufacturer and batch no of vaccine with official stamp of approved vaccination centre

My fear is i do not want any visa denial at the port of entry and i have a tight schedule i cannot travel to their high commission in Abuja...The kenya side you added sounds lyk fun but how long do i have to stay in Kenya before crossing over. Another worry is leaving MMA, will they carry me without a visa? How fun is Zanzibar and Daaresalam? Dem get correct chics and booze?

collinsfbi: Generally, there are no big deal about South African study permit, you can start preparation once you get your admission letter, getting vaccination card, police report and medical insurance is never a problem. Try and read from page 30 till date and if you have time you can read through the whole 41pages, there are concrete and comprehensive info to digest. Meanwhile, Abuja centre will never ask you for SAQA but Lagos centre will definitely ask for that so the choice is yours.

koolmd: Nothing serious about this booking thing men. Check the cancellation policy before you book the hotel, some hotels/rooms have free cancellation (with varrying conditions), some you will be charged 50% at booking, some you can not cancel without being charged etc. Check some rooms out through booking.com platform for Sheraton Pretoria Hotel, Protea Hotel Hatfield,waterfalls boutique Hotel...they have free cancellation. Dont let anybody do your hotel booking for visa application purpose for you, do it yourself ooooo!!!

okay. are you sure they offer Nigerian passport holder visa on arrival ?

steptaiwo: Possibly you gave the wrong number when you where asked to write it on your photocopy passport page before submission. If you have submitted in lagos your tracking which is Ref No: SALA/00000/0000/00 and you will be asked of you date of birth.
