searchlight:First, let’s clarify one thing: there’s a big difference between a government tolerating or mishandling terrorism, and a government actively funding, arming, training, and directing terrorist groups to attack another nation. That distinction matters. In your analogy, you compared Nigeria and Boko Haram to Iran and its proxies. But there’s a key difference: • Nigeria’s government has fought Boko Haram, even if not always effectively. We’ve lost soldiers and civilians in that fight, and many in leadership have denounced them. • Iran, on the other hand, openly supports its proxies, like Hamas and Hezbollah. They fund them with millions of dollars, train their fighters, supply them with weapons, and publicly praise their attacks on Israeli civilians. So if Nigeria had created Boko Haram, armed them, and sent them into Chad to carry out regular attacks, then yes — Chad would be justified in responding, maybe even harshly. But that’s not what’s happening between Nigeria and Chad. Now let’s talk about the U.S. and Israel. When Iran allows and even coordinates missile and drone attacks against Israel from its soil or by groups it controls, that’s not just “looking the other way.” That’s active warfare. No one is saying the U.S. should bomb Abuja. But if Abuja launched rockets at another country, harbored terrorists, and publicly said “Death to America” every Friday after mosque and meant it you can’t act shocked if America responds. |
Let’s get some facts in order, because emotions are running high and misinformation is everywhere Claim 1: “Israel attacked Iran first, and Iran is a sovereign nation.” This argument keeps popping up, but it ignores years and decades of provocation and aggression from Iran. Rebuttal: Iran has been attacking Israel for years indirectly by funding, arming, and commanding proxies like Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Shia militias in Iraq and Syria. These groups have been consistently launching rockets and bombs into Israeli territory. This isn’t hearsay — this is confirmed by global intelligence agencies and even openly admitted by Iran’s own leadership. On October 7, Hamas launched a brutal and unprecedented terror attack on Israel — killing civilians, taking hostages, and sparking the current escalation. That attack was the first shot in this round of war, not anything Israel did to Iran directly. Yes, Israel is now responding — as any nation would. And they’re doing it strategically, going after each proxy one by one — Hamas, then other militias, and now possibly turning their attention to Iran itself, the source of it all. Even Hezbollah — Iran’s top ally — is now publicly saying they won’t join the war if Iran is directly attacked. That tells you everything. Iran is mostly alone, because even its so-called allies know how reckless this has become. Claim 2: “If Israel and the U.S. have nuclear weapons, why can’t Iran have nukes too?” On the surface, this might sound like a fair question but look deeper. Rebuttal: There’s a massive difference between who holds nuclear weapons and how they intend to use them. In Iran, every parliamentary session ends with chants of “Death to Israel, Death to America.” This isn’t symbolic. Iran backs it up with real-world violence through its proxies. They’ve made their intentions crystal clear — they want to wipe Israel off the map. So why should a nation with that mindset be allowed to have nuclear weapons? Think of it like this: it’s okay for a police officer to carry a gun, because his job is to protect people. But should we hand a gun to an armed robber who already told us he plans to shoot someone? That’s exactly what giving Iran nukes would look like. The U.S. and Israel having nukes doesn’t mean everyone should. There’s a difference between deterrence and destruction. Iran isn’t seeking peace. They are seeking power to enforce their ideology through violence. Iran is too small for Isreal to destroy. Imagine , if Isreal was to do the same thing Iran is doing ? Isreal and now Us are the only country that would announce an impending attack to you civilians to move , hence targeting only military installations but Iran doesn’t give no eff about civilians . They delight in blowing up hospitals. Please if you want to Arthur , argue with logic and not emotions or your religious affiliations or sentiments . Ire o |
@ibro2much I have a drivers licence that expired in 2020. The date of birth on that licence is not correct by a year . I am trying to renew now , would you know the process of correcting the date of birth ? Or should I just renew with the wrong date of birth and then go do a sworn affidavit with the right date ? Thanks |
cevek11:Did you ever figure this out ? Trying to correct dob on an expired drivers licence as well |
Scream:I hate that the bulk of Obi supporters are not enlightened or just plain dumb. I support Peter Obi but I am not stupid . One question, I ask and still asking . Do you think if this election is done again without rigging , that Peter Obi would get up to 25 % in Kano , Kastina , kogi , Kwara , gombe , Jigawa , borno , Bauchi , Adamawa, Niger , Sokoto , kebbi , not counting the rest of the south west states where he didn't get up to 25%. Argue with logic and sense abeg |
Time for peter Obi to make that call |
I play fifa 2022 and 2023 a lot on my console. It's fun playing online with different people across the globe. It's a simple game but it can also be very personal. I know people who have broken their controller by smashing it on the ground when they lose and I know some other people who will exit the game just when they are about to lose. These second set of people i call them the sore losers. It's very annoying to play against sore losers and I try not to be one when I play . Nigeria election has come and gone and as it is, Peter G Obi has zero chance of winning due to not having the required 25% in at least 24 states. I know it hurts and it is painful when your candidate loses especially after all the online banter, insults and bully but it's time to face the reality . Peter Obi will NOT be our president in 2023. Even if we were to go into a run off , it's going to be between the first and second position, which sadly doesn’t look like Peter Obi. Nigeria is in a bad state and luckily I didn’t need to campaign for PO as every member of my family can see through the hardship and they understood the need to make a difference by voting obediently. They said there are 5 stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Looks like the bulk of us Peter G Obi supporters are in denial state . It is not unheard of to outrightly skip stages during the process of grief and I am hoping we all can go through this grief without experiencing anger and depression. Peter Obi's loss is staring right in our face and I indulge all PO supporters to remember the serenity prayer by Reinhold Niebur "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference" . Educated Nigerians have tried to change the things they can through the ballot box but the truth is that it is always going to be like this as long as this country is divided along ethnic and religion lines . Perusing through the results releases so far, I realize If this election were to be done a 100 times , Peter Obi would lose a 100 times . That is the bitter truth we need to accept . Social media has never won election in the world. Imagine the number of people in Kano that voted for kwankwanso, Tinubu and Atiku do you think they would suddenly vote for Peter Obi if the election was done again and again? Same with Sokoto, Kastina , kebbi , Jigawa , Bauchi and the rest of the core northern state. Same way I don't expect the number of Tinubu or Atiku’s voters to increase in Anambra, Abia or Enugu even if the election was done a thousand times . Except we want to lie to ourselves , Peter Obi CANNOT get 25% in more than 25 states in present day Nigeria. Digressing a little , If you are an educated southerner you should be worried about the almajiri situation in the north. Educated southerners only marry one wife and want just 2 or 3 kids . The same cannot be said of the north . They have the large population and it’s so easy to get through to them because they mostly have a homogeneous religion and language . So if the educated and enlightened Nigerians decide to pick a candidate, as long as the bulk of the poor uneducated people are out there, it’s always going to be a long walk . I remember the 2016 election in America and Donald Trump was contesting. The establishment thought it was a joke and they thought no sane mind would vote for him. Well people did and he became the president. Some people still can’t fathom how it happened but it did and he was sworn in as the 45th POTUS. This is the beauty of democracy . It’s all metrics and numbers . If I were to pick a mentally retarded person from Yaba or Uselu, and if I campaigned for him rigorously in my state of origin , and convince the majority to vote for him and they did, sadly there is nothing the educated and enlightened ones can do , they have to deal with it for 4 years. The solution is for the politically educated ones to reach out to the grassroots and convince majority to vote their candidate Back to my Fifa 2023 game , I have lost a lot of times to better players, sometimes I lose as much as 5 nil but I do not exit the game till the end . I have lots of people that ended up adding me as a friend after the game and we end up playing together a couple more times . Some of them I end up whooping after lots of tries . And some still continue whooping me till this day . It’s never a do or die. Just like election is a game of numbers , so is my fifa 2023 game . You win some , you lose some. Don’t be a sore loser when you eventually lose. Congratulations to whoever is sworn in on the 29th of May and hopefully you can prove us wrong and give us a better Nigeria that we can all be proud of . |

I have been watching and reading in the news about people struggling and some fighting to collect new naira notes from the ATM and I just laugh thinking it’s all comedy. I called my aged mum in Nigeria today and I sincerely cried . My mum is almost 80, she is retired and she was in the bank today to get her small pension. She has no money like ZERO money at home to buy groceries. She got to the bank and the queue outside was terrible and it wasn’t even dispensing yet people were queuing for ATM that wasn’t dispensing . I told her to speak with the security guys if they will allow her access to the bank , they still denied her access . Eventually she promised to sort one of the security guys at the gate when she is done if she was allowed in the bank. She was finally allowed in and I was happy that the hurdle was over . She got in the bank and it’s another long long queue , it got to my mums turn and she was trying to withdraw just #20,000 of her OWN money and they told her they can only offer her #5,000 , I was on the phone with her and I was boiling . The terrible part is that she was NOT given new notes . The #5000 she got were old torn 50 naira notes amounting to 5000. I was screaming over the phone at my mum not to collect the old naira note that it is useless, and then she said how will she eat if she didn’t get the money. I started crying . Like how can you be rich and be poor? How can you have money in your account and it is not accessible? E no go better for Buhari and every other individual that is supporting this evil government. If not that my mum is stubborn and doesn’t like to stay here, we wouldn’t have to deal with this nonsense . I just bought her ticket to come here next month and this time she didn’t even argue . If you guys like , vote whoever in February, I don’t care. I just want my mum alive till March 7 when she leaves to come down here. |
Chuksmemgbe:Hmmm I might just know you |

@justwise, I am trying to fill fill out application for my folks for a b1/b2 visa, and the "... For instruction and documents required for application..." Link on page 1,2,3, and 4 isn't working. http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile//non-immigrant_visas.html. I know I am supposed to go through each of the thread from 1 to 4 to search for steps, but can you please edit the first page of thread 1,2,3,and 4 and add the instructions for those that want to fill out the form themselves. It will help people from asking random question and save time searching through threads for something as basic as the application process. |

The same kogi state that have been struggling to pay salaries. 2023 Is almost here , suddenly kogi is the best state in nigeria with highest FDI and lowest debt profile . This is really interesting |
Alpha100:gracias |
So no to all political dynasties. The saraki dynasty and the tinubu dynasty |
PigBenis:I see you for veepak |
Like he said , to each his own |
Why can't u post the video on YouTube instead of making me click a link. Besides the source is instablogger. You dey learn abeg |
tribalistseun:it doesn't work that way bro. They only kill for their cows. They have no value for human lives so they may let this slide.. it's when a cow is killed that u should be expecting at least 100 Hunan lives as sacrifice.. |
The silence of the presidency on this sars issue is defeaning. If that's the only thing buhari achieves, then he has done well |
Reference:So lets assume he plays with the old lady for 6months and decides to move to napoli, same Italy, napoli will run a totally new check when they can have It transferred down. I know why I am saying this, I know every major employer of Labour nigeria will run a medical check, but in the US it's different . They may do a routine drug test, but if you transfer jobs, your medical profile is the same. U will be surprised that after moving to a different state in the US and u report sick to an hospital, your past medical record from another state, another work place will be pulled out . It's all tied to the social security. |
I don't understand this medical thing... no be person just play world cup finish? If he is not fit will he be playing that long at Madrid ? They can easily get his medical report rransfered to Turin. I really don't understand. If na naija now, I go understand |
Tracypacy:Let me assume the f on your moniker means female, that's why we can forgive u. Just stay out of politics if u wil keep copying and pasting without reading |
strangest:U get sense at all? Stop copying and pasting. Can't u see there was no total vote in ado and number 14? We need to change APC but not this way.. when opposition can't even be credible |
It doesnt matter whether he support buhari or not, he is a Nigerian first and I celebrate him. There are lot of fake prophets in Lagos yet we don't judge them . Pastor Enoch Adeboye supported buhari and even gave us the vice president , which was why a lot of Christians voted buhari in the first place yet nobody is cruciffying him. So why should I crucify father mbaka? Why? |
Now we have IDPs in a benue and plateau. Buhari has successfully turned middle belt to north east |
