Na wa oh...I just know Nigerian girls will be bougie.

How much pay would you consider as a good paying job? Is it relative to one's circumstances?

If your score is 500 and above, you can book your medical for late July or early August, but for the police report, wait for ITA cos it has a short life span and it doesn't take too much time to get.
While this might seem like a good idea to book your medicals early, it may block PNP candidates who recently received ITA in the last PNP draw. I remember sometime in my group, some PNP candidates could not find a spot to book medicals because other people who have not even received ITA had taken up all the spots.

All good for the Police report.

thanks for the feedback, i just used the the CRS tool, turns out that it doesnt matter if i maxed out the writing task, does not have effect on my score. SAD, reading minimum score must be 7.0, i might write it again. I dont know yet or i will abandon it altogether and face my school route.
I wish you the best, whichever way you choose.

Guys im not happy, my perfect IELTS score had expired and i have no choice but to rewrite it asap to be well positioned for the resumption of Express Entry. Result came out today as seen below:

British Council
Listening 8.5
Reading 6.5
Writing 7.0
Speaking 7.5
Overall 7.5

I dont even know what to do, do i go for remark?- i learnt that the scores for reading is most likely wont change since its mostly objective and fixed answers.

If i do go for a remark and writing and reading does improve and i get a band 8, can i still use this result with Reading as 6.5, will it affect my PR chances and PNP chances?

I need answers o
I would suggest you do a remark in writing, but still, continue preparing to write another test just in case. You can use the result to enter the pool while you await the remarking and preparing to write another one.

Use the CRS tool to find out the IELTS scores that will give you the maximum points attainable in your situation.

But I'm talking about changing naira to USD
Is the exchange rate at the bureau de change in mm1 like that of black market

You can hold your dollar and change it when you get to Canada airport or any bureau de change near you in Canada.
I have heard that it is a bit fairer than the black market rate. I am not sure of the rate range.

DL abstract from FRSC in Abuja is free, only that you'd need to find someone there to help you send it via courier (not free). A second option is through the Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa (https://nigeriahcottawa.ca/drivers-license-letter/) - which is also not free. Be sure that the letter is acceptable in your province before going through the stress anyways. I know it works in Ontario, not sure of the other provinces/territories.
Hello,

Do you know anywhere in Lagos that can get it? Is it only Abuja I can send an email to? How long does it take to come out?

Thanks

I guess you're yet to decide on your city of choice. Check for shared apartments on kijiji.ca. You may need to land first so as to physically see the apartments (except of course you have someone to do that for you).
I know I need to land and see the apartments myself. That is why I am asking if anyone has.

Hello

Good Morning

Pleasei want to find out what are the cost implication for sending my passport because i got my PPR.

Am I just paying DHL (To and Fro) alone to have my passport forwarded to VFS office here in Lagos for onward forwarding to ACCRA, or I still have to pay again another fee separately to have it forwarded to ACCRA also.
Congratulations on your PPR. You only need to pay for one-way delivery.

If you did your biometrics in lagos VFS, you do not need to pay any other fees except for sms notification which is optional.

Good afternoon house,

Please, any idea of provinces that picks NOC 0621..?

GraciousWords, Allegory, Dimple10, Icehot and everyone else please.
I believe all provinces need NOC 0621, but British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick may have higher job opportunities for that NOC than others.

Check - https://aandcimmigration.com/british-columbia-demand-occupation-list-2021/

There are different cities in Ontario. It's just like someone saying I'm looking for an apartment in Lagos. You have to indicate which city in particular so anyone with a lead can let you know.
I am looking for one in the GTA and Ottawa area in Ontario.

Is there a WhatsApp group for Nigerians in Ontario? Can someone help me with the invite link, please? Thank you

I am also looking for a room in a shared house in Ontario. If you are living in one or know of any vacancy, I am very interested, please.

Thank you

The problem is that, even if you find, you can't come in for inspection. Your best bet is to book Airbnb for one month and then use that one month to find a place so you can also go and see where you want to stay. Some of these shared apartments may not be as nice as they look in the pictures. Dealing from Nigeria also opens you to easy scams.
I know. That is why I am asking if anyone has any.

Thank you very much for the response.

I was asking because I intend to create my EE profile with the surname on my passport - Orange, and when the time comes for me to quote my ECA file number in the process of completing the EE profile, and I quote the number (which would reveal records with a surname different from the one I used in creating the EE profile) won't that spell doom for me?

I have never created an EE profile before. It's just what I read here and on IRCC's website.

Because I reached out to IQAS and they were giving me generic responses.

If I provide marriage certificate which shows that I am married to Mr. Orange and that that was why I used Mango-Orange in applying to IQAS, won't it now be suspicious that I want to revert to my maiden name of Mango even though I am still married to Mr. Orange?
I understand why you are worried, but it is nothing really. You are just the one thinking that they will think you are trying to revert your name. If you got married after school, I truly see no issue there.

But in order to be sure and have peace of mind, you should do an affidavit like mummyDsquare suggested, and include it in your letter of explanation after you get ITA, and preparing to submit.

Good afternoon everyone. Please I need help with my situation. Let's say my surname from birth is Mango and I got married to a man whose surname is Orange.

I applied to IQAS in with the surname Mango-Orange. They assessed my credentials which bore Mango as my surname and gave a favourable report.

However, my international passport bears Mango as my surname and I know that one has to use the name on one's passport in creating an EE profile.

Do you think it it advisable to tell IQAS to change my name or do I wait to get to that point where I would have to provide all the names I have ever been known by and possibly submit an affidavit of same person?

Thank you.
You do not need to tell IQAS to change your name, and I do not think you have to provide all the names you have been known by at any point.

All you need is your marriage certificate to prove that you are married to Mr. Orange.
