Stop listening to people who clearly go contrary to IRCC guidelines. IRCC says you can use gift deed, now you are saying "some people" said it's not advisable? Are they the officers giving the Visa? Do they work in IRCC? Are they even immigration consultants?

I suggest you do a lot of research and reading. It is very hard to go through this process with only the knowledge of what "some people said".

You can put the money in Stanbic mutual funds/treasury bill and show proof that the money is there, and easily accesssible.

The site is the registration platform of the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program. You should only register on the site if you have received a Notification of Interest on your Express Entry profile.

It means WES has sent for verification to your school. Your school has to send back that all is OK before they approve/complete the evaluation.

I receive it too. I think that somewhere on the application, a selection of regular updates was made. The update coming from logging in to the account. It records the update that you are still eligible at that time you logged in and probably made some changes.

God bless you @icehot, the truth is that my former work place employment letter is yet to be signed which might likely get to me on Friday and tomorrow is the 45 days, I have every other documents completed.

So am thinking of submitting those documents tomorrow, pay my 1500CAD and then update my profile once I get the documents on Friday.

Employment letter? Do you mean employment reference letter? For me, I think it is best you try your best to get everything before you submit. Luckily, our time is ahead of Canada's time so you might be able to get something done by morning.

It could be possible to submit later but I would not want to take the chance of submitting other documents first, then later update my profile to submit reference letter. $1500CAD is not N1500.

Can you reach out to the person in charge of signing such document? Meeting them in person might make the difference. Do whatever it takes to get the document signed. Explain your situation to them, even it means spending some money to get it signed. Try your best and good luck.

The information you can edit is mainly personal information such as email address, telephone etc. For other changes, you have to fill the Change of Personal Information form and send the form by email as an attachment to ontarionominee@ontario.ca. Use “Application Change Notice - File Number" as your subject.

I’ve registered to learn french just in case the draws turn out like they did last year - increasing after the CEC & PNP draws - just to avoid stories that touch.

My score’s 467 and my birthday’s in May and I’m dreading losing points with an already borderline score.

I’d advise that those of us in this bucket should try to take steps to increase our chances instead of having to wait and hope that the scores will drop.

Is there nothing else you can do to increase it, like retaking IELTS? How many degrees are you using?

No, you do not have to pay, but some schools will charge you extra for it. So, it depends on the school.

There is no one general format. You can get a lawyer to write one for you. Most of the format you see online is the same thing which I think originated from India.

Yes, you can score higher. The chances of getting a new score after remarking in Listening is low. Save your 15k and do it again, this time, it will come out better.

As such, my survey shows that the probability of people who get it from their parent are better.

Reason been that , the VO see it as a will/gift from a parent which you re entitled for.
But why will your siblings just give you that money just like that.

So as my Bible taught me, wisdom is profitable to direct. Tell your siblings to send it to your mum/dad then let your dad/mum send it to you. Simple as ABC.

For me, I do follow live video of canadian immigration lawyers on youtube + indian group + Nairaland. No one is an island of knowledge.

I learnt this when I process my Master program visa in just one month with no agent or advice on Nairaland. Information is the key.

Why not give yourself a time frame for moving out and work towards it? You can use an age say 30 or say another year of freebies and you move out!

There are advantages and disadvantages to both options! Whilst enjoying freebies at your parents place you will save yes or maybe not since you will contribute at home anyway! Like someone also said once you move out and perhaps sleep hungry once it'll also help shape you more and mature you as well!

In the meantime to avoid being seemingly stifled by your folks why not be accountable in your waka waka for eg dad/mum I'm headed to xyz for xyz purpose ( you can be vague if need be) I will be back early or late! Whilst you're out call to check on them and reiterate that you're fine but will be home late or otherwise! It's better you learn that now anyway because your spouse too may have such expectations!

At 28, I believe a man should have left the confines of his parents abode. However, if the means isn't there, he should sit his ass back down and concentrate on how to move out.

Squatting with friends is sometimes not advisable cos many are just assholes who want to control you or see/believe they're better than you just because you're squatting with them.
