Start making plans to submit your passport ASAP so that once the PPR comes, you'll just print it and mail your package within hours. It appears that even those who submitted two weeks ago are yet to get feedback. The earlier you submit your passport, the better for you, especially as you'd have to wait for over two weeks to get feedback. |

Congratulations oma22: Keep doing it, I did mine daily for more than a week and finally my PPR came yesterday. I believe it works, just bombard them with both webform and emails. I sent daily consecutively for more than a week. I know how exhausting it is but just keep sending |

None of all these stated apply to me. I want to believe it's being done in batches. NairaLuck: I don't think so, since the evention of Readiness plan, everyone who has received got their schools in the readiness list either before or on the updated list. If your school is on the list and you haven't gotten a reply, it either your application is still within the processing time and some concerns are been examined or you just applied in late Sept or October. just wait for your final decision.
I stand to be corrected |

Schools being on the list is not a criteria as we have seen lots guys got approval despite the fact that their schools are not on the list. All the same fingers crossed. Insanity: Yeah, a lot, me included. I got MR, AIP, and did biometrics more than 2 months ago. I've sent webform and emails to all the IRCC contacts and offices I know of, and I am still waiting for my application update. I think it is because my school is not on the readiness plan list yet, I am hoping for 17th Nov now.
It will end in praise! |

Thank you so much for the positive energy. I will be patiently waiting. God nor go shame us. fratermathy: Based on the good news we've all been receiving, it is safe to assume that everyone with an AIP got approved. It is only a matter of time before those who are yet to get theirs would. Patience is key here. I doubt if it would extend beyond this month. It appears like IRCC ignored new applications (from October) in order to finalize stale applications. They'll definitely finish the backlog soon and move on to new applications. |

Please share the link to the webform rebecausoro: I applied on May 17th. Last week, I sent three webforms to Beijing. Someone suggested that I should write a letter, sign it and then attach as a PDF in the webform. You could try that too. I learnt it makes them treat your webform request faster. The person could be wrong but the last webform I sent was on Friday and I got BVL this morning. |

Thanks a lot for this. I have raised a web form and also used my official student email to send an email and spoke sense to their brains to all the emails you highlighted. I will update once they get back. Thank you once again. fratermathy: You can raise a webform to the Nairobi office and the general office too and then follow up the webform with emails to these addresses:
nairobi@international.gc.ca nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca
In your email, emphasize why you need a final decision at this point and its implications for your studies. Feel free to "rant" and explain all the psychological and emotional difficulties that the situation has created. It will definitely be read even if they don't respond. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Iceman2020: 1:57pm On Oct 27, 2020 |
Thank you for your kind words. Please how do I go about raising the web form? Also, please I will appreciate if you can also send me their emails "Nairobi guys" Thank you once again. fratermathy: Hello Iceman2020,
I understand how you feel. It's a truly disturbing situation. It is one thing to have an AIP and know that things aren't moving. It's another thing to have an AIP and see others get PPRs (especially when they applied after you). It can be quite frustrating and deleterious to mental well-being. However, you shouldn't allow it get to you too much.
Rest assured that your application will turn out positive and you'll get feedback soon. You're not alone and that's a good thing. Canada bound students all over the world are putting pressure on IRCC. Expect final decisions soon. Like I've said before, don't allow IRCC give you headache over nothing. Hopefully, more decisions will come this week and this thread will light up like last week.
I'll still advise you to raise a webform if that makes you feel better. Raise a webform and request for finalisation of study permit application. This isn't necessary but it won't hurt to try and it would definitely make you feel better knowing that someone in IRCC will read your message. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Iceman2020: 11:58am On Oct 27, 2020 |
Na wa o. IRCC just decided to mute we that have AIP since. Concentration on studies in becoming tough. Having a sound sleep is even difficult. I will refresh my email more than 5 times within an hour. Sometimes I will even mark the previous donotreply emails as unread just to show I have new email... Hahahaha
I have got no choice than to drink water and take chill pill. Please anyone that has AIP and got BVL plus PPR this week should please update us at least we will be motivated.
I just can't wait to get the positive news. |

This is a very matured response. Obviously, you are already thinking and acting like a Canadian. If we can be giving constructive criticisms probably this country would be habitable for many. Each time I see your write-up, I always read in between the lines as if I will be examined on your post. You earlier talked about the confirmation of the AIP from a legal person or something. Could you please tell us more? Thank you once again for your beautiful assistance here. Osemigho: Thanks for your great contribution on this thread. You have given excellent answers, but I think I need to clarify some of it.
1) Meeting the standards does not guarantee admission. It depends on the level of competition and some times departmental goals/protocols/politics.
2) There are several masters program below 15,000 cad. However, accounting programs are usually on the higher side.
3) Study permit does not come with a work permit. Both are two different things that you must not mix up. You are only allowed, not mandatory, to work 20 hrs off-campus during school session and full-time during school break. Please don’t mix things up.
4) Departments determine admission requirements. There is a general pattern of English language test exemption for Nigerians. However, you program may request it from you for certain reasons like Teaching Assistant Scholarship. Also, GRE or GMAT is usually required for business or accounting graduate program.
All the best. |

I have been on this thread for some time and I have observed most of your prophecies in regards to Canada student visa and almost all of your prophecies come to pass. As a matter of fact, I keep wondering who's your Intel. I always look forward to read your comments. I could remember the last one you said was come August, this thread will be rain with approval and of which almost everyone that applied for fall 2020 admission got approval even though it is "approval in principle" but still it's an approval Now to do subject of the final approval, a word is enough for the wise as they say. If people feel AIP guarantee second approval, only time will tell and the time is almost here. All fingers crossed. Peace!!! Frankrobbn1: I think you're misinterpreting the whole story. No one is stopping anyone from celebrating the receipt of an AIP letter. I'm practically telling you what will likely be expected from IRCC and the uncertainty involved in payment of tuition fees and starting program from home country when you've not been finally approved. Let's not sugarcoat things for people that they end up not seeing the truthfulness of the situation.
I end my comment on this matter. I wish everyone success!
It will end in praise. |
