LagosismyHome: Thanks.............at the end of the day , Home office holds the bible truth. See why , each school is interpreting it as they read it . These schools below agrees that it is OK if you can show/hold sole responsibility
https://www.city.ac.uk/study/international/visa-immigration-advice/tier4/pbs-dependant-visas If only one parent is coming to the UK then the visa will be refused. The only exceptions to the requirement that both parents must be coming to the UK are when their other parent is dead, or if you have had sole responsibility for the child's upbringing
https://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/students/help-advice/international-students/immigration-visas/applying-tier-4-general-visa-uk/tier-4-dependants The only exception to this is, if the other parent is not alive, or you have sole responsibility for your child’s upbringing. You will need to provide evidence of this with the PBS dependant visa application.
https://www.internationalstudents.cam.ac.uk/tier-4-dependants If your partner is not coming to the UK with you but you wish to bring your child/children as your dependants, the Home Office only allows this in exceptional circumstances. In the dependant visa application you will have to evidence the 'serious and compelling' reasons why the child should be with you in the UK, or that you have 'sole responsibility' for the child
https://students.leeds.ac.uk/info/21506/your_visa/852/dependants You can only bring your child / children with you to the UK if your partner is also coming with you to the UK. The exceptions to this is if you are: the only parent or you have 'sole responsibility for your child / children or there are 'serious compelling reasons' which mean you and your partner cannot come to live together in the UK
https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/visa/before/family?wssl=1 For child dependants, both parents must be lawfully living in the UK, unless you have sole responsibility for the child's upbringing, or there are serious or compelling considerations that mean the child should be with you in the UK. Thanks. A divorce certificate may be required in this case. We are only separated not divorced yet as divorce takes a longer process. |

LagosismyHome: Although i dont know much on this topic, Uk guidance is always so clear and online. Love the Uk immigration for that . I went to check and i dont think the law mandate both parents ........ ..... Watch out for the key word Sole responsibility . So the father doesnt have to be if the Mother can show proof that she has sole responsibility for the child . At least that how i read it . The rules will not want to encourage one parent kidnapping a child from the other and running off but if the mother/ father has sole custody then there is no case of kidnapping
Copy and Paste from the guidance document For any dependant child applying; • both of the applicant’s parents must either be lawfully present (other than as a visitor) in the UK, or being granted entry clearance or leave to remain (other than as a visitor) at the same time as the applicant; or • one parent must be lawfully present (other than as a visitor) in the UK and the other is being granted entry clearance or leave to remain (other than as a visitor) at the same time as the applicant, unless: o The Main Applicant is the applicant’s sole surviving parent, or o The Main Applicant is the parent that has and has had sole responsibility for the applicant’s upbringing; or o there are serious or compelling family or other considerations which would make it desirable not to refuse the application and suitable arrangements have been made in the UK for the applicant’s care.

Eeghe: She reiterated feeling a dark energy whenever Tacha is around Maybe she really does and hence the nomination Dark energy or envy. Girls are naturally envious of one another and petty. I feel she sees her a a strong contender. |

TallTony75: That's why your intended course of study must have relate with your previous study. And you should be able to talk about the benefit of the placement to your career , your future plan. Ok, thanks. |

LaaJiblik: Listen to me very carefully here. I am talking from experience. Internships do pay- yes.
Problem is: It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for you to get the type of internship that pays (that you are talking about).
Let No one, I mean no one deceive you. You are very unlikely going to get a ‘blue collar’ internship placement. You may not be able to get into industry, because you are very much likely lacking the required competencies and certifications.
Working in Care or Retail or Hospitality (all such temp ‘student jobs’ are not considered Internship.
Be careful. Very very careful. If you can, please mention (here on this forum) what your proposed course is, and what your expectations are. You will get good advise from folks. Thanks so much. It's an MBA program. |

TallTony75: Usually internship is like a normal job and you will be paid mind you you're a student worker. I don't understand what you mean by; ' does it affect visa outcome'
You're not the designer of the course, if i understand your question, applying for a course with internship wont count against you. Ok, thanks. You got my question correctly. I was thinking it might have a negative impact on visa issuance cos d VO might think you want to use the extra year for your benefit when there are alot of courses which have a year duration. |

TallTony75: Most 2years UK Masters programmes are usually with Placement... That's 12 or 15 months course work and 1ur or 6months internship. There are lots of universities that offers such courses. pls is internship usually paid? Also, does it affect visa outcome? |
