I have a client who owns a very clean and sound Toyota Camry (Big Daddy) and has decided to consider giving it up for Uber / Taxify Services. The car sits at his home almost every day of the week because he has other cars and he now feels the car should be used for something useful.

The owner wants an experienced driver, calm, cool-headed, God-Fearing, responsible and respectable person and who is looking for an opportunity like this

The Owner lives at Sango/Tollgate area and wants a driver who lives closer too.

I leave at Kola, am interested

A SOP explains the discrepancies in an application or provide additional information to the VO's understanding esp if the application "get as e be," not straight forward or in a simplified order. Though its always advisable to add an SOP because not in every/all case would the VO notify an applicant for certain clarification either through certain document request or for an extensive information gathering(this could as well be done outside the background check).

To your principal question:

1. NO, if you is not using an agent but YES if you using an agent then provide the details of contact/address/information of the/such agency. If the agent is in Canada, request for the license details/information as registered/recognized under IRCC.

2a. Breifly give reason(s) that motivated/intrigued/interested you to opt for such program that made you considered it to be a choice program.

b. Explain how you found out about the choice program i.e. Internet(Google), Peers, Education fairs/seminars,magazine, newspaper etc.

3. State the duration of which it would take to complete your studies/program as stated on the admission letter from your DLI i.e. 8months, 1yr, 2yrs etc

4. If either English or French is your first/official language, imply by stating YES but if NO, give any evidence that you underwent any/your previous studies in either English or French i.e. B.sc, PGD, Diploma, HND, OND, SSCE/WAEC/NECO etc

5. Explain intuitively and briefly why can't you undergo such program in Nigeria and how such program in Canada is different from the similar/related programs in Nigeria - hit the nail straight.

6. If you is savvy or have any idea/done any (extra) curricular activity(ies) related to your prospect program either by academics or work experience, imply by stating YES or NO.

If YES for academics, pen down your academic qualification(s).

If YES for work experience, pen down the organization name(past and present - if there is gap, or both which also proves you've been gainfully employed), held position(s), start date - end date etc

If NO, there won't be any need inputting any explanation(s).

7. Explaing to the VO what you've been engaged in since graduating/leaving (from) school before deciding to further your education. Point 6 can be use as a guide.

8. This should concern mostly your nuclear family or an extended family who bears same surname with you to whom you're closely knit. Give the details as shown on the form but if the question isn't applicable to you, skip it or input Nil.

9. As a fresh graduate who has no study gap, just input your academic dates to the most recent educational qualification attained including NYSC(if applicable) in chronological order.

BTW any information stated on this form shouldn't be contradictory to that which is stated on the SOP, they must correlate.

Good luck!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. God bless you sir

There is absolutely no demerit. If you select NO, the same shared surname would sell you out if a background check regarding to that question is run.

It would be advisable to select YES, and input his required information. You can notify him about such development before taking such action.

BTW The question in quote reference more to a member of a nuclear family than to an extended family.

Crime / Re: Police Officer Punches UNIBEN Student For Refusing To Bribe Him With N100k by IceTrice01: 10:33am On Apr 25, 2019
Lizzysamuel:
There was a mild drama yesterday in Benin, after some Police Officers harassed a student of UNIBEN for driving a car at his age.

According to reports, the police officers double-crossed the young man who's driving a Toyota Camry after sighting him coming out from a bank.

The officers after stopping him, started tagging him a criminal and a yahoo boy and demanded he paid them N100k for his release.

When the young man tried calling his mom to complain of what was going on, one of the officers threw several punches at him, that injured his face.

Other motorists and residents of the area on noticing what was happening, intervened in the matter and nearly mobbed the Police Officers.

I was referring for you to be constructive with any stated points backed with sufficient evidence when writing your SOP.

Since you using a third party sponsorship(or not), keep at heart of proving a very good/strong home ties that can convince the VO of compelling your return.

Thank you very much
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by IceTrice01: 6:23pm On Apr 10, 2019

...for a third party sponsorship, I doubt if 7m naira in inclusion with your LE will suffice as other things/requirements are put into consideration:

1. LE of 10k cad equivalent to 3m, 7m - 3m equals 4m setting aside his own family composition and other personal financial reasonableness to cater for, all inside the 7m.

2. lump sum deposit(based on your previous post relating to this continuous correspondence) - a red flag

My advise, work on your:

1. Funds
2. SOP(connect every alphabets by crossing your t's and doting your I'd)
3. Home ties

Thank you very much. Please what do you mean by me crossing my t's and doiting my i's and also home ties too

Who's your sponsor to you and outside the payment of your tuition fees, is your living expenses part of the 7m in your sponsor's SOA. What is your sponsor's family composition and are you gainfully employed??

My sponsor is my maternal uncle and my legal authorized guardian. Yes, I've about $1,800 in my dorm account which I want to use as my living expenses. I'm not gainfully employed, I'm just a marketer for a company in Lagos who gets paid on commission. I'll appreciate your quick response.

Thanks for your reply sir, in answering the above questions,
1. The sponsor indicated of the affidavit that he's my uncle and my legal authorized guardian
2. The account he's using his a business account and I paid my fee through that account, I guess the inflow and outflow of the account is good.
3. I've an MSC which I acquired in 2018, and b4 that I had my bachelors degree in 2014, but due to the fact that I applied for an advance diploma I didn't indicate that I have an MSC while applying for admission.
4. I have 3 years working experience but it has a marketer for a company in Lagos, I wouldn't like to indicate this working experience

Lol please stop calling me sir. Based on what you provided and I hope others can provide more info:
1. Using your uncle isn't a bad idea, but the VO will want to know why your parents can't sponsor you and also the number of dependents he has to decide to invest millions in your education abroad.

2. You cant hide your work experience, the VO needs to understand what youvr been doing since 2014 and if you cant do that then your study gaps might count against you. Hence, refusal based on purpose of visit.

3. Your uncle sponsoring you with his company account is a little tricky. The VO's will need to understand why he will want to use business funds to sponsor you. Afterall he needs to pay workers, fund project, conduct business etc. And if there ate overdrafts in the company account then thats a huge redflag. If he can back it up with a savings account or transfer funds then you're good.

4. Your work experience as to tally with the program you are vying for and your previous degree.

5. You need a sound SOP.

Please this is just my opinion you are free to discard it or use it. So please fix the obvious loop holes and remember if it doesn't look good or sound right to you then it won't to a trained visa officer. Work on your study gap timeline, sponsor portfolio etc. All the best

Thank you very much sir, I so much appreciate this, I'll work on this and get back here ASAP. Thanks once more

Hello, you need to provide clear information before anyone on this platform can give you the best council. So I'll suggest you answer the following:
1. Who is the sponsor to you?
2. What's the estimated inflow and outflow in your supposed sponsors account? (If it's a lump sum deposit then thats a red flag. It's not as simple as putting money in an account printing The statement the next day ans apparently withdrawing it)
3. What's your previous qualification(s)?
4. Current job?
5. How many years study gap?

Answer the above questions and we go from there. Thanks.

You shouldn't apply to a college/institution that wont refund your tuition if your visa got declined. There are other Prestigious collegew you can check. Make sure they are DLI Institutes because that's very important for post study work permit. Always familiarise yourself with refund policies of this schools so it doesn't come back to hurt you.
