ichuka, you must have quite a lot of times, heard the saying that "If you want something done right, do it yourself", well none, nobody, no angel out of the whole angelic hosts of heaven, nor no man out of the whole world wide, offered to accept the challenge to help man get returned back to man's original status before the fall, so God resorted to DIY

ichuka, you know that Christ, means Saviour, right?. So if you do, how then do suppose God will be able to pull this off this God's redemptive work, if Christ isnt God and man, hmm? Give this some thought ichuka

missjojo/Ihedinobi3, why is blood, at all, necessary in the redemptive work? I think I need to clear the cobwebs in that question and re-ask it all over again.

1/ Without bringing into the equation, animal blood sacrifices temporarily covering up sin, why is blood, at all, necesaary in the redemptive work?
2/ How did God successfully go about the redemptive work for man with the blood of Jesus Christ?
Hi bro
Will come back to these later.

Thanks

Why, in God’s plan of redemption, must Christ be both God and man at the same time?

Suppose there are three persons: missjo,respect80 and ,1stoprudeness.1stoprudeness has sinned, and missjo asks respect80 to die for 1stoprudeness.This would show that missjo has love toward 1stoprudeness and that 1stoprudeness has answered the requirements of the law. however, this is rather unjust to respect80. I sinned, and God caused Christ to die for me. Although this shows God’s love and although I meet the requirements of the law, this is rather unjust to Christ. Only when Christ is both God and man is this just.

First, we need to know what forgiveness is. Forgiveness means that the one who forgives takes the loss upon himself. It means that the forgiver is suffering the loss of the forgiven one. The loss is on the side of the one who forgives. For instance, if someone owes you N100 and you forgive him, we can say that you bore the loss since you suffered the loss of N100.

In God’s plan of redemption, Christ should not be a third party. If Christ is a third party, then God is unrighteous toward Him because He has no sin and does not deserve to die. The Bible tells us that man has sinned and that God is the One whom man has sinned against. The relationship here is a two-party relationship between God and man. Asking a third party to die in a substitutionary way may, perhaps, satisfy God’s righteousness, and it may meet the law’s demand on man, but this is rather unrighteous for the third party. It is righteous only because Christ is both God and man.
In order for Christ to not be a third party, He must be God since He Himself is the One being offended. The work of propitiation for sins is righteous only because Christ is God. Conversely, since the work of propitiation for sins is righteous, Christ must be God because only the one who is offended can forgive the one who offends. Who can say forgiveness is unrighteous? Christ is God; He is the offended One and, therefore, He can forgive men.

Romans 7:10 says, “And the commandment, which was unto life, this very commandment was found to me to be unto death.” Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death.” These verses show us that a person has to fully keep the law in order to live; otherwise he must die. In order for the Lord to make us live, He had to suffer the penalty of sin; He had to die. However, 1 Timothy 6:16 says that God alone has immortality. Therefore, Christ must also be a man in order to die for us. He had to take a body upon Himself so that He could die for us. He is God; this makes His salvation of men righteous. He is a man; this makes His salvation of men possible.

A sacrifice in needed to save man from eternal death, a human sacrifice , but it can’t be one with blemish or sin...like all of us...
There is no man holy except Divinity himself..divinity had to synergize with humanity to creat the holy and perfect sacrifice needed for the remission of sins......my view of scriptures though....u might have a contrary view

missjo:
This is exactly it, don't diminish the value of the truth by calling it YOUR view. smiley

Indeed, a redemptive sacrifice was required. Blood was required. The covenant of blood is very powerful.

Before then, Israel could only make sacrifices through the Levitical priests. Bull, Sheep, Ox, Goat, even birds (for the poor among them) were used for this. This was the only way to redeem themselves of sin. The high priest would sprinkle the blood of the dead animal on the altar of the tabernacle just outside the holy of holies. This was usually done after the sin of the man or woman had been transferred to the animal by a rite of placing his/her hands on the head of the animal and killing it. The blood was then drained by one of the lower priests.

Ichuka, the above process was not permanent because it had to be done as often as possible.
There were five offerings at that time: The Burnt offering (Blood of a male animal), The meat offering (fine flour with oil to be eaten by the sinner), The sin offering (animal to be eaten by the priest), The Trespass offering (Blood of a female animal), and the Peace offering (The fat of either male or female to be burnt and the blood sprinkled too).

All this would only guarantee sinlessness for as long as the person person keeps himself holy because the blood of animals is lesser than man and can not permanently atone for man. There became a need for a stronger blood covenant, one which would be higher than man. This is why God had to be made flesh through Jesus. God is a spirit being and therefore has no blood, he had to make himself human but at the same time be a completely blameless and sinless human born of a virgin which no man has tainted.
The blood of Jesus encompasses all five offerings and totally redeems sinners for all eternity. In him became a new means of redemption. Instead of going through the priests by making sacrifices in the tabernacle, Jesus became the high priest and the tabernacle in and of itself.

Christ is both God and man to combine the divine nature of the father who seats above all heavens and the least man who walks on the earth, essentially creating a blood link that cannot be broken even by death.
Beautiful!!!
I will add a pinch later to these
Nice one!

Christianity EtcThe Cup Of Suffering. by ichuka(op): 8:39pm On Oct 11, 2019
My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine. (Matthew 26:39 NLT)

We must face the fact and we must seek help from God always to bear in mind that we are going to have a path of suffering if we are in fellowship with the Lord Jesus.... There has to come a point when we sit down and do some calculating and come to a definite conclusion on this matter – that, although very often we may not be able to see that our suffering is because of our relationship to Him (the sufferings are so manifold and diverse, and very often they look as though they have no relationship at all with our Christian life) at the same time, whether we can discern it or not; the fact remains that the pathway of the child of God, of the fellow of Jesus Christ, is the pathway of suffering. I say, postponement or delay in settling that matter keeps us all the time in that state of hoping and waiting for it to be different, and, because the difference does not come, getting downcast and feeling that all is wrong and that the Lord is against us and all that sort of thing, thus giving all the ground that the enemy wants for destroying our testimony. The very first thing to remember when we take this cup is that while we are taking it as the cup of salvation, while we are remembering the atonement which is in the Blood, and all the wonderful redemption which is ours because of that Blood, the cup does also speak to us of fellowship with His suffering....

Yes, there is something which is going up to His praise and glory as Christ is being formed through the fires of adversity and suffering. It is fellowship with Him in His sufferings, after all, if it is bringing about more Christlikeness. So our first thing is to reckon with this and get it settled. What are you expecting, what are you waiting for, what are you concerned about, what are you pleading and praying for? If you are praying for full and final deliverance from adversity and suffering and difficulty and all that sort of thing, let me tell you your prayer will never be answered. Forms of suffering may change, but in some form or another we are going on to the end in a way of adversity. Satan is not going to become our friend while we are friends of Jesus Christ. The kingdom of Satan is not going to rally to our support while we belong to the kingdom which is opposed to his. Let us settle that. It will get us free, perhaps, from this entanglement.

Blabbermouth:
One love bro. You seem to know much about ordinances, can you tell me more with bible ref.
Romans13:1Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will [a]bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

The above verses is self explainatory.
Every land or community have a delegate authority.directly or indirectly appointed by God.
Same way there are delegates authority is how they have established laws in the land.
So if you break any law of the land you have have also broken the law of God.because those delegates authurity are His subjects.
Even Jesus was primarily refused passage through Samaria. He didn't to force His will on them.
Once you break the law of a land you must redeem yourself or pay the price.
Many missionaries have died ignorantly regarding these topic.

Christianity EtcThe Soulish Man. In the church by ichuka(op): 5:29pm On Oct 05, 2019
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV)

Mental activity, emotional life and the will is exactly that which the New Testament calls the natural man, who as a ‘soulish’ man is incapable of accepting what comes from the Spirit of God. Nearly all so-called revivals have happened on this basis. They were mighty movements for the shaking of emotions: mighty persuasions and argumentations were used to influence the understanding and will. What was the result? The natural man has been maneuvered into Christianity and been made a Christian. We cannot, however, recognize the thoughts of God in this and it has nothing to do with being born again. It may be that ‘rebirths’ have occurred in the revivals mentioned above. But there is a difference between, let us say, a psychological rebirth and a rebirth in the Spirit. The one might temporarily carry all the characteristic features of a real rebirth. And yet all of that does not necessarily have anything to do with the Spirit, and in innumerable cases it has had nothing to do with the Spirit. It is a work of man... Christianity has become a system of human interpretation of the thoughts of God. Spiritual death hovers over it. It is no living testimony for God. God has given us a burden in our hearts concerning His thoughts. We do not speak to criticize. We speak because we have to....

People that stand without reserve for the rights of God will always be considered as enemies by those who reject the thoughts of God.... Wherever a religious system has come to reign, it will always be held against them that it is they who bring the people of God into confusion. This is what makes the ministry so difficult. This is what makes the ministry so costly. Israel was so deceived that it thought it was doing right in its idolatry. This is the highest level of deception, not seeing that everything one does, also that which is sincerely intended, actually serves the devil. The prophet’s disagreement is not in the first place with Israel. His battle is with the whole spiritual system into which Israel is entangled. ‘Religious’ people would not even rebel against the ministry of the prophet, if the enemy did not instigate them. So they become instruments of the devil. But the prophet is ready to encounter this. He is misunderstood, he is slandered and seen as an enemy; he is marked as the one who troubles Israel. But he has a vision. He does not serve himself. He knows that his standpoint leaves no room for personal ambition. But he has seen God. He is connected to God. And in the special standing which he has with God, the difference between the godly and the human has been revealed to him. With this vision he has become prepared to carry the cost that the service of God demands.
Christianity EtcThe Only Way God Speaks To His People. by ichuka(op): 11:05am On Oct 05, 2019
Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son. (Hebrews 1:1,2 ESV)

It says that in times past God spoke "in many ways," not only in different portions, but in different manners. It would take too long for us to go back to the Old Testament to see all the manners in which God spoke. He spoke by a thousand different means: sometimes by words and sometimes by acts. The manners were indeed "diverse." However, the statement here is that at the end He speaks in one way, one all-inclusive way, and that is in His Son. God's Son is His one inclusive way of speaking at the end. On the one side, no one is going to get anything from God apart from Jesus Christ. God will absolutely refuse to speak other than in His Son. If you want to know what God wants to say to you, you have to come to His Son. On the other side, in Jesus Christ we have all that God ever wants to say....

Yes, we have far more of God's speaking in His Son than we have yet come to understand. We have nothing apart from Jesus Christ, and we need nothing apart from Him. You can read everything that has ever been written on Christian doctrine and still be the same man or woman. God's ways are very practical, and He teaches us by experience. That experience is sometimes very difficult and is called here "the training of sons." May the Lord Jesus just impress our hearts again with these things! God is still speaking in His Son, and His speaking is in order to get companions of His Son. Companions of this heavenly calling and of Christ will go into the hard school and have to learn many hard lessons, but in learning them they will come to understand how great is their inheritance in The Lord Jesus.

Ex3:6
New American Standard Bible
He said also, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Apart from the fact that God had covenanted with these three men, He takes them up as representative personages. He chooses them to represent three types of men in the world. What type of man is Abraham? He is a giant of faith. He is rather uncommon; in fact, he is quite special. As the God of Abraham, God declares himself to be the God of excellent people. Yet, thanks be to God, He is not only the God of the excellent. Were He merely this kind of God, we would sink into despair because we are not persons of excellence. But God is also the God of Isaac. What type of person is Isaac? He is very ordinary. He eats whenever he can, and sleeps as he has opportunity. He is neither a wonder man nor a wicked person. How this fact has comforted many of us! Yet God is not only the God of the ordinary men, He is also the God of the bad men: He is the God of Jacob too, for in the Scriptures Jacob is pictured as one of the worst persons to be found in the Old Testament. Hence through these three persons, God is telling us that He is the God of Abraham the best, the God of Isaac the ordinary, and the God of Jacob the worst. He is the God of those with great faith, He is the God of the common people, and He is also the God of the lowest of men such as thieves and prostitutes. Suppose I am special like Abraham; then He is my God. Suppose I am ordinary like Isaac; then He is also my God. And suppose from my mother’s womb I have been bad like Jacob was in that I have striven with my brother; then He is still my God. He has a way with the excellent, with the common, and with the worst of humanity.

MuttleyLaff:
I dont think ichuka is satisfied that his questions have been given fair treatment answers so the following reattempts to shed more light.
1/ Why does God not declare himself as the God of Adam?
Answer
:
You first, need to know who God is and how God is defined

God is a force that has the ability and capacity to do anything. God is a power that has the ability and capacity to make anything act in a particular way.

God couldnt declared Himself as the God of Adam, because Adam by choice and freewill decided not to be influenced by God

2/ For we know that Abraham sinned even as Adam did. Why then did He not call himself the God of Adam?
Answer
:
It has nothing to do with knowing that Abraham sinned even as Adam did, but that the incriminating evidence is that Adam disobeyed God, and so this act prevented God from able to call Himself the God of Adam. On what basis, what will justify God calling Himself the God of Adam

3/ Why did He not say the God of Abel, the seed of Adam?
Answer
:
God could have said that about Abel that He is the God of Abel, but He didnt. He didnt say so, not necessarily that it isnt true but that God in His wisdom didnt say it.

4/ Why instead did He call himself the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob?
Answer
:
God started with Abram, when He influenced Abram, and told Abram to leave his country, his relatives and his father's house to a place He would show him, then after when Abram obeyed, God made a covenant with him (i.e. read Genesis 15:18-21 about it)

The promise God made with Abram didnt just stop or end with Abraham, as God kept the promise going, by repeating and confirming it to Abraham's son, Isaac (i.e. notice this in Genesis 26:3, where God said to Isaac: Live here as a foreigner in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. I hereby confirm that I will give all these lands to you and your descendants, just as I solemnly promised Abraham, your father)

The assurance given to Isaac was continued and passed on to Isaac's son, Jacob, later known as Israel (i.e. notice how in Genesis 28:13, it staetes that, at the top of the stairway stood the LORD, and he said, “I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants)

God calls Himself the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob based on the promise He made and the formal agreement to each one of those individuals

5/ Why according to the flesh was our Lord Jesus presented in the New Testament as having been born of the seed of Abraham?
Answer
:
#1/ Abram believed God, and God because of this, counted him as righteous because of his faith.
#2/ The prophetic, the first gospel mentioned to Eve in Genesis 3:15, began to unravel with Abraham, when God in Genesis 22:18, said to Abraham: "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." There ichuka is why, according to the flesh was our Lord Jesus, is presented in the New Testament as having been born of the seed of Abraham.

6/ Why from among all men should God have called himself the God of these three particular persons?
Answer
:
Revisit the answer given in #4 above.

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
(i.e. I am the LORD, the God of all humankind. There is, indeed, nothing too difficult for me)
"
- Jeremiah 32:27

Meanwhile if I were you, I wouldnt be splitting hair, because King Darius in Daniel 6:26, honors God, with the "God of somebody" line, by stating: "I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end."

Remember, the word, God is synonymous with "influential power". God is a supernatural entity and has the capacity to have positive effects on someone's or something's character, development and/or behaviour. God is the Affect, that brings about positive effects. The word God, is closely associated with influencing or tending to suggest an idea of influence

ichuka, Jeremiah 32:27 above just re-echoes that the Yahweh, is God over every creation, creature or creativity, as in, God, in the sense that He influences and/or influenced them
Thanks so much Bro
I will add something to what you have already said in my next post regarding the three personalities .

Adam when he disobeyed God's word, didn't do so under the influence of God. So therefore, gets himself disqualified from having God seeing Himself, as the God of Adam. Its just as simple as that. If further illumination is needed please don't hesitate to ask
You are right Bro.
But my view point is on Abraham Isaac and Jacob why not just God of Abraham alone, why must He include Isaac and Jacob too?
He choose these three personalities for a reason.
