Good job, but you missed Jay Jay Okocha. I don’t know the #16 either. And it’s Ike Shournmi not Anobi. Other than those, you’re perfect. O pari AndSunGorilla: I no remember that guy wey wear 16. The other: front (r - l), Agali, Finidi, Garba Lawal, Godwin Opara and Back Udeze, unknown, Kanu, Ike Anobi, Taribo and Oliseh. When old men were boys. |

OK, then, let’s hope he’ll bury one or two free kicks tomorrow. We need to go for broke tomorrow and put the game out of reach for bredas. I think it’ll be risky to come back from Ghana with a tie. But if we can come back with a two goal lead, the return leg at home will be a mere formality. We have a chance to put away the game tomorrow. O pari TheSuperNerd: The way some of you argue here is very hilarious. Probably one of the reasons some don't take this thread as seriously as before.
The point is Kelechi scored a FK from some distance in training against Uzoho. Wall or no wall, it is still a freekick. Understand what a freekick is and learn.
Cease trying to use assumptions of No wall/wall to ignore the simple fact that it is still a freekick.
Also, this same Iheanacho has scored a few Freekicks even with a wall. His quality from a FK is not in doubt. So your presumptive assertion is off tangent. |

Honestly, the only way I can see Nigeria not winning tomorrow is if there’s a horrible officiating. Remember the last Ghana home game - against South Africa - the officiating was laughable. Only something similar would save Ghana from receiving a serious hiding tomorrow. O pari andrewbaba44: How can someone be going for a draw in a game ? I still don’t get

Try dat. But the point is, Kelechi wouldn’t have scored that free with such ease if there was a decent defensive wall because, then, Uzohor would be covering only one side of the goalposts. Do you disagree? O pari TheSuperNerd: A freekick must not always have a wall formed. Seems the actual definition of freekick in association football is lost on you.
One can get a freekick anywhere on the pitch. And most are taken without walls formed.
The only reason walls are formed for FKs close to the goal is because the Opposition don't wanna make the taker have an easy strike-route towards goal.
So yes, Nacho hit a FK goal. Rest. No be everything you must argue. |

Do you see why I like you, Safari. Nne, keep breaking it down for them. Forgiveness and many folks here tend to have a very simplistic view of everything. To them, it almost always about corruption or tribalism. And they always try to compare the situation at Super Eagles with what’s obtained at the football clubs in Europe. Talk about apples and oranges. O pari safarigirl: Chelsea are not limited by nationality
I am very sure if Alloy Agu could, he too, would have scouted Mendy from Senegal.
A goalkeeper has to put in great numbers in a decent club, before the coach can scout them.
The quality of the league and the quality of the players performance will always be a consideration first. |

KPOM! You don tok am finish!! To add anything else would be most disrespectful. O pari 2lola: I think we are being unfair to Okoye, and we are still relying on what Uzoho has done in the past. Since his long time injury he hasn't gotten to that particular peak he had then while Okoye has gone on to win the Eradivise keeper of the year( by a magazine or so) and got a transfer to EPL say a lot Okoye might be shaky in the GWG but we have two different coaches who still prefer Okoye to Uzoho, that should tell us how NAD he has decline. Uzoho has only played 13 games this season and we all know how important playing is for a Keeper. Not saying Okoye has been decent in GWG but thinking Uzoho will be better is not it. The better we accept he is the best among them for now and keep searching for a better Goalkeeper the better |

Nope. I totally disagree. Emmanuel Dennis is a center forward. His direct competition in Super Eagles are: Victor Osihmen Odion Ighalo Kelechi Iheanacho Plus the likes of Onuachu, Umar, Awoniyi, etc He’s definitely not in competition with Moses Simon or Samuel Chukwueze. O pari mostob: Dennis is a winger ... He is not competing with Ighalo and Osimehn. |

Okay then, let’s wait and see whether Dennis will start ahead of either Osihmen or Ighalo. Trust me, our strikers against Ghana are going to be Osihmen and Ighalo. Dennis will start on the bench. O pari mostob: I'm not disputing that Ighalo is a top player. But on current form, Dennis is ahead. Playing on EPL is not the same as playing on Saudi |

Oh, they will trash Ghana - home and away - because the current Ghanaian team is useless and hopeless. But my fear is that that victory is gonna cover up the whole ojoro players invitations. O pari Joebie: Rorh would have done the same, except that we would see Akpoguma in the list, but not Onazi. Amoo won't be there. No much difference. Last last na how we play go determine am. |

OK, look at it this way. Osihmen was just recovering from a serious injury that required surgery and had not even played for his team since after the injury, then, add to that, getting COVID. So I don’t think that there’s possibly any way he could’ve forced his way to come. Dennis on the other hand was prevented from coming due to some silly administrative paperwork. Osihmen should’ve forced his way if you switched their places. O pari andrewbaba44: Osimhen case was not different abeg
Dennis was happy to skip the tournament,as per Dennis PA wey you be

Nope. Osihmen’s case is totally percent different. Osihmen actually wanted to come and fought until the last bullet before he gave up. Dennis was totally happy to skip the tournament. As per Dennis being the best we have, I totally disagree. Our best striker today is Victor Osihmen. And I will take Odion Ighalo over Emmanuel Dennis any day and twice on Sunday. O pari drDoom3: Say na turncoat Dennis. If Dennis is a turncoat, Osimhen is too for choosing his club over the SE and using COVID as an excuse.
We are choosing Dennis because he is the best we have. Nothing more, nothing less. |

Thank you, my dear. That’s one thing that bothers me about our indigenous coaches - these kinda head scratching invitations and team selections. O pari Joebie: Thank you. Etebo has no business in this list. We all can't agree on all the names. But we want the best performing players always.
Ighalo is still performing. You can't make argument for Musa being a captain when you have Nwakaeme clearly better in the same league, although I don't fancy the latter. |

Oh really? I thought that Iwobi is eligible since this is a FIFA organized tournament? Yup, I was excited to see Bassey, Lookman, and Amoo on the list but that doesn’t justify the inclusion of semi retired players like Musa, Onazi, etc. And how in the world did select Shehu Abdullahi ahead Awaziem? I &mean, I can understand Ighalo’s invite but why are we rewarding a turncoat like Dennis O pari AndSunGorilla: First of all( go down low) back to the topic. Don't you know that Iwobi isn't eligible for the game. Next time if you don't know, ask and don't wallow in obvious ignorance. Didn't you see inclusion of Amoo, Bassey and Luku, isn't that commendable?

First of all, let me say that I am not actually surprised to see this list. Rohr is gone, so we’re going to to applying the ‘Nigerian factor’ in sending out player invite.
Can anyone tell me how did onazi make the standby list? I am a big fan of Etebo but how did he make the list when he hasn’t played in more than 6 months? Why do we keep wasting slots on the likes of Musa and Ighalo when we have young and hungry strikers like Awoniyi, Onuachu, Ejuke, Onyekuru, etc.
And by the way, are we punishing Alex Iwobi for picking up a red card? And at the same time, it seems we’re rewarding Emmanuel Dennis for snubbing the team when we needed him most!
Nigeria, we hail thee!
