If the offer has been accepted while Mr buyer has gone silent, don't email him again at this point. Simply supply his details like name, phone number and email address to tony@epik/com, they'll take it up from there.

how are you sure the domain dropped as the rumors has it, again how did you know a Nigerian domainner was the person who caught it and the amount it was sold? there were lots of deliberation over the issues on this forum last year about the issues. Some said the domain didn't expire with lots of reasons to backup their claim then, Why some says an insider is behind the whole drama. The matter just went silence here without any tangible verdict of what actually happened in detail about the domain.

They lied! The domain expired then, it should be approximately a year or less when it happened. I've an account with them for about 4 years now. We were redirected to bet9ja1(2) when it happened until they negotiated, regained the domain and the transfer processes completed before we move back to the original website

The stupid thing is this is not the first time it has happened. I just checked now and I see that they have moved the domain name out of Godaddy and gave it 5 years extension... They should have made it nothing less than 10 years.

Once beaten twice shy they say but these people never still learn their lessons. 10 years should have been their minimum threshold but they still give room for another tsunami. Maybe then, they'll go bankrupt while trying to regain their domain

I don't know how to go about it. Dynadot looked in and said the name is attached to different businesses and wondered if they would log complaints against them all. ..That they can't advise on what to do.

To the best of my knowledge, the name isn't trademarked. I may be wrong though because I'm still learning this domaining thing. The more experienced domainers here can take a second look at it for you.


What I noticed is that you haven't set up a landing page for the domain. Obviously, anyone you send the domain to will tell you it's connected to a different entity whenever he/she clicks on the domain name and seeing "...coming soon..." and all those other stuffs in there

How long does confirmation take?

I don't think I get you really but if you're asking about confirmation when receiving from external sources (wallet), the delay may not be from Quidax end. When I received Btc from Epik, I didn't see it for about 3 days on my Quidax acct. So, I contacted Epik and the CEO replied the delay may be from their end or blockchain or something I can't remember but not from quidax. They had to send another one which I received and withdrew immediately. It wasn't up to 3hrs between the time I communicated with Epik and when I finally received it.


About two days later, I noticed a failed btc transaction on my account. Apparently, the sender(Epik) had cancelled the first transaction before they send the second one.

It surprises me to see that someone bought "KickOffNigeria.com" on 23rd of August, 20, though at dropcatch. is that the worse situation of Nigeria that someone could spent his money on that name ? For what business what website will be built on such domain ?

Assuming I saw the domain and i also have the money for dropcatch, I won't think twice to backorder it. Those of us that have been following sport in Nigeria for over 15/10 years know what up with that domain name and those behind it.

One smart naija domainer caught bet9ja early June this year and he was over $22k dollars richer though the news was kept secret. Bet9ja is number one betting platform in the world in terms of traffic. Do your research

Do not ask for any refund, do not delete the domain neither, even if he wants to make any case; he will spend minimum of about $2000 to file the case and if you are selling for around $1000 -$1500 he will rather prefer to buy the name from you. Fighting for trademark is not for free.

Don't ask for a refund. Keep that name. If he didn't renew the trademark, then may be you have an edge.
The worst that can happen is to loose the name later to him or even win it against him. As long as you are not in the country of residence, this legal team cannot harass you. You can only loose the name later.
I have sold trade marked name to same company for 1.5k before even when I mistakenly register it in another extension. Good luck.

I just got one that's slightly over 100k

High population is ok and focusing on a city with high population is very important but at times, it may not necessarily be important at least with my little experience. I have a domain of a city with about 2 million population but no reply for 3 months now even though it's a good name and was recommended to me by an experienced domainer here.

Some people say it's grace that may make a sale to happen, well, I don't know if that is true. One can sell a domain with about 20 end users and less than 40k population while the other ones with high population and end users will still be smiling at you.

Happy Sunday guys. I acquired one domain that dropped last night. Kinda two words, two syllables domain like say 'PayPal' or 'YouMe' for example. The owner has been using it for his product consecutively since 2013 and never let it go. I just discovered this morning that he trademarked the name since 2013 too and his trademark filling expired last month but still showing Live Trademark when I checked!

I'm kind of scared, I don't want wahala... Am I free to still own the domain or should i ask for a refund?

Netsol wahala too much. I tried to buy one domain like that with them I couldn't for about two days, they kept rejecting all my cards, I had to later buy with Epik. I can't waist my credit to call them because I want to buy domain with them. They ain't giving me for free.


I Only have one domain with them and I've decided not to ever near them again
