Very true. I'm not sure how my mom did it but my dad's family members are more drawn towards my mom than my dad. If there are village events and functions, they'd even prefer to invite my mom than dad. Although both of them usually attend but I see the way they relate with my mom more than dad.

I was less than six years, but I can still recall what the couple did to that girl. They will beat and strip her, then send her to come fetch water from our house.

So many times, my mom will invite her to eat with us because she was always starving.
