It shows the mental state of some folks.

As though being born in a non-Nigerian hospital extracts the Nigerian lineage from their veins.
Being born abroad does not take away your parents gene, but you are also a product of your environment. You pick oc the idiosyncrasies of the society you were born in.

Has any English born ever excelled in GWG ? Except for goalkeeper Ikeme....Iwobi has not blown us away

Bros Nwakali is not an AM, he is a CM.
Well , that partly true but we also know he can play AM position due to his skill set. The boy can roam around the 18yrd box with so much each. He could score , create and play dead ball , so , beautifully well. He is a million miles better than Iwobi.

lol! How many cities have you visited in the US? Do you know the number of US citizens that live in homeless shelters because they can't afford to pay rent and utilities? Do you know the amount of US citizens that rely on food pantries to get by? My job takes me to the American grassroots, Mr. man! I know what I am talking about. Many citizens are still paying students loans years after leaving the University. Talk about what you know and stop ranting.
Yes, Nigeria has its challenges. A population of over 250 million people living in a landmass of Texas and half of California will definitely have congestion issues.
Likewise, there are also challenges in providing adequate services for congested areas in the US. These are based on facts not emotions.
Shut the trap , oga. You can never know the United states system more than me! Dont embarrass yourself here because its obvious you know absolutely nothing about the United States which I have been a CITIZEN of for 16yrs!

The homeless you see in the streets are 90% drug addicts not because they couldn't find a job , or get help...there are services for these people but they chose to stay in the street where they enjoy the free movement to beg and buy more drugs.

Education is expensive but I got my Associate degree without paying a dime. If you are bright you can get a scholarship to pay fir the remainder of your college education. America has the best education infrastructures because they invest loads of money into their education and these funds are drawn from school fees. In Nigeria , you pay 100,000 a year and expect world standard education...its insane.

Yes , you will pay student loan because America is not a communist economy , it a gaddem Capitalist economy and most of these top schools are privately owned , therefore you have to pay. By the way , why am i responding to an ignorant person who doesn't understand they American system. I have no time to school you because you aren't paying me.

You speak more with your emotions than with your brain! Better infrastructures in what regard? Many work their ass off to pay rent, water, and electricity. You miss a payment you are cut off, immediately. Also, there are many cities with no transport systems. You need a car to move around. Nigeria is not only Lagos, please.
In Ibadan, I will be able to provide my own electricity and water without stress or fear of being cut off. No place is paradise!
Of course, it is your responsibility to pay your bills...abi na for free ...lol. The problem with you Nigerians is that you gullibly think everything is free and should be handed to you.

And , I say this again, some of the worst neighborhoods in the US has better infrastructures than Ikoyi...Nigeria is a ffucking shiithole.

Yes , southwest Houston has better infrastructures than Ikoyi and VI....examples of infrastructures; sewage treatment , water , bridges , roads , electricity , communication.

You are probably an Ikoyi resident and thought you live in heaven....lmao

Honestly , I am not a fan of these foreign born , especially the English ones but I have watched Aribo in SE and he didn't cut it for me. Though, I prefer him in that position to Etebo.

Some countries in North Africa has a lot of dirty places that you'll hardly find in Nigeria. Their only advantage is that they have better infrastructure.
Even United States has a lot of dirty places yet better infrastructures than the mighty Ikoyi/Victoria island. What is a modern society with adequate infrastructures ? Are you here to defend Nigerian government or what ?

Aribo is not even a dm I don't know why the Coach insists on playing him there he strictly plays AM or RW for Rangers
Seriously , do you believe Aribo is gonna handle AM position for super eagles. By the way , Aribo is a natural CM who is very athletic...he reminds me of Onyekachi Okonkwo of the glorious Enyimba fc. The only difference is Onyekachi is much skillful but not enough to man the AM position , hence Muri Ogunbiyi was there to do the creative job and get into tight spaces and open defences with his amazing skills. If you put Aribo in AM position you will get something worse than Iwobi.

Almost (if not all) every natural AM that comes into Europe from Africa are converted to Wingers or Central midfield/Defensive midfield players.

I have extensively spoken on this hundreds upon hundreds of pages ago. Mikel Obi is an example. Lately we have Ziyech, Iwobi etc... all converted into Wingers or sometimes will play as wingbacks.

But hopefully, the likes of Michael Olise comes through for us and with Amoo's development staying on course, I trust his inside right position (RW role) won't see him lose his natural AM touch.
Well ,the two players you mentioned arent sufficient examples to reach the conclusion the European coaches dont fancy playing African players in the AM. I understand the misadventure of Mikel but I wobi was never an AM. One of the reason we have not been able to mould a proper AM was because of ROHR! That useles eidiotic white ffucker made sure Nwakali never see any minute with SE because Nwakali was gonna sparkle and blow. He undervalue our home grown players, and , will rather invite European born, yet , most of these guys never delivered. Its heart breaking we cant find a decent AM from our local league and mould and market them. Its pitiful what that white eidiot has done with super eagles.

I don't even know how I rated you before, thinking you were better than this. What tribe do you even think I am? Probably you wouldn't believe I'm Igbo too because I don't reason like you.

You see all this Igbo this and that you and some others on Nairaland like to boast with at any slight opportunity. It's very petty, childish and attracts unnecessary hatred. Other tribes inclusive but it's notorious with igbos now. I felt people on this thread were more rational.

Sometimes if you're unhappy about sth, it's just better you keep quiet than disgracing yourself.
First of all , remove boasting from this exchanges ,because nobody cares about that shhit. And , if you run into a boastful Igbo take it out with them. Don't confuse yourself with what isn't there. The truth is that bokoharam and bandit are having a field day while NK was illegally kidnapped, chained like an animal and shipped to Nigeria. I am not an IPOB but it seems we have different rules for different ethnic groups. On that premise , I reckon the country is ffuckked.

Finally, I joined Nairaland in 2010 and I have seen many groups perpetrating hatred against Igbo but we can only fight back and hit them where it hurts. Igbo people are not troublesome and I can prove this. Dont bring your stupiidity because it will not fly. Stay in your lane , wwanker!

We are scattered all over the nation doing business but we never had any problems with the locals...prove me wrong ! Igbo are the most peaceful people you can meet but dont start sshit with us and expect kindness.

You have a point but our problem is much more than upbringing. We don't tackle problem from the root because we don't ask pertinent questions. We ask: how can we stop corruption instead of what causes corruption. You cannot solve what you don't know the cause.

Corruption is stealing. Opportunity and poor reward (punishment) system breeds it. Same people raised in Nigeria would move to other countries and would forget about corruption. There are dishonest people everywhere but in those other places, systems have been setup to block loopholes.

I am seriously scared should we qualify for the world cup. The problem is virtually all Nigerians have their favourite thief as a result of tribal or religious affliation and when this thieves are caught they come out openly to defend them even when the thief is busy stealing and ransacking their future
And these thieves are found in every Nigerian tribe, Igbo , Yoruba , Hausa etc. For instance , those defending Tinubu are doing so strictly because of what they benefits, never for the Yoruba nation but they like the poor people from their region to believe its Igbo vs Yoruba , that way they keep the divisions intact. Nigerian youths are divided along ethnic lines that makes it impossible to fight the government as a unit.

Mazi you don't have to say this twice

I schooled in uniben a school populated by deltans, i saw corruption possessed individuals i remember nadeltsu elections (scrabble for bursary money) and uniben sug elections. In all honesty they see corruption as way of life thats why a senator who has spent over 18 years in NAS could knee down before convicted ibori and beg for political blessings to be a governor
The place is so messed up and you could get killed just because you acted like you dont like corruption. Then there is the ethnic division that goes with the corruption , it's a mess and I dont want to go there. Delta , Rivers , Bayelsa and Lagos are by far the most corrupt state in Nigeria.

Ibori has to go for that state to breathe.

Considering what obaseki, the governor of awka ibom have done i still dont rate that okowa

Delta state ought to be on same pal with awka ibom if not for corruption. Warri north reputed to be one of the 3 most richest local government in nigeria together with amac abuja and etiosa in lagos is still lavishing in underdevelopment, have always know deltans as the most educated folks in south south but corruption has dealt with the state seriously
Talking of Delta state , a state I am familiar with its politics I can confidently tell you that Delta is desperately corrupt. The state DNA has corruption inscribed in it. The civil service is so corrupt it 'd impossible to fight corruption in that state. It has gotten to the point where corrupt is legitimate means of making money.

The ex governor Ibori successfully planted the seed of corruption and it has grown and now flourishing. Its terrible down there. They share bag of monies in their offices like it is breakfast akara. I did court wedding in Delta and all I could think of was to just kill every God forsaken worker at that local government. We bought the bottles of wine , groudnut , crates of malt , bribe money before service fee. At the back of the building they had stacks of wines and malts as if they are a distributing company. I was enraged but my wife calmed me down. This cannot happen in Anambra!
