I am still waiting for all the people that has continued to berate Nwakali for not getting game time to come out boldly and defend the inclusion of Michael and Shehu.
Being a man is not about running your dirty mouths like ashawo 10 kobo!
Brother , after the civil war Yoruba people took over the lead in education and rightly so , because the Igbo were defeated , oppressed and impoverished. Yes , you took advantage of our failure in the war and amassed wealth and dominated all sectors. Yes , it's true you led and exploited the system until when civilian government returned and people like Peter Obi took hold of government.
I can't say for sure the statistics are accurate representation of realities neither can I speak for other SE states but for Anambra. I know Anambra education transformation not just because its my beloved ancestral land but also because I have followed the progress the state has made in education...Brother , Anambra has gone way too far ahead of every other state and this is based on evidence. The handing of schools to the mission and communities is a masterstroke that put my dear state in the lead...I couldn't believe the transformation of Mater Amabilis Secondary school , Umuoji. The schools was completely transformed in all aspects and you can see the result. Hearing the students speaks was very impressive.
As it stands , presently , the SE are ahead for obvious reasons. We have done more than you when it comes to administration. Compare Osun to Ebonyi , Anambra to Ogun(with all the billions), Enugu to Oyo and you will see we have made more progress compared to where we were after the devastating war that destroyed our land. You have your moment but we are back on track to compete , once more and you better be ready.
Captain8: i have already seen the feat of you Igbos recently...it was common nigeria lazy police that defeated 2000 well trained ibo ugm/esn within two months.....
only avengers turned operation crocodile smile to operation crocodile tears 2016...buhari have to begged avengers to stop....
but when ibo thought they can do same, common operation phyton dance silenced them...... abba kyari even used ibo fighters to get quick ranks.... Igbos can only withstand Ijaw women in fight....
You don't have the mental capacity to have a simple discussion. I don't have time for nonsense.
Captain8: we will repeated it again should you fools repeated your useless fathers deeds in 1967...
You are not a very wise man. The north are sshitting on their pants over the clamor for secession because they know any bad move will immediately disintegrate the country and they will pay a huge price. You think the north is ready for war ?? If you think so then you are ddumber than a rock....lol
Captain8: God gave special power to the minority.... thats why small fulanis can defeated big hausas... if you been carried away by the mere name majority then you heading for your end..... The special powers God gave Ijaws cannot be withstand by both igbos and Hausas together.....
You are delusional if you thought the Hausa were defeated by mere wishful thinking. The Fulani were season fighters with superior calvalry fighting against minor Hausa kingdoms because Hausa was not a one united kingdom. You think you can pull the same feat against a well educated Igbo who are war tested , wealthy and highly connected ? The Tutsi thought the same until the ethnic cleansing ensued. I don't pray for such on your people but don't push your luck. You are playing with fire
skybeauty: If you say that they deny their Igbo ancestry you are dreaming. I have a friend a descendant of King Jaja of Opobo and also a prince (He is very rich and influential in Rivers State) who maybe next in line in the kingship in Opobo or Bonny whatever you call it. He speaks Imo dialect more fluently than most of the Imo cousins I know. When asked how come he is from Bonny but speaks IGBO. He said that his ancestor Jaja is an Igbo man from Nkwere in Imo State. In other words, he is an Igbo man and he knows that, he does not need to come to the street and be shouting to whoever cares to hear that he is igbo. It goes without saying. My dear nobody is doing guming body here but igbos are only longing for a reunion with their long lost brethren snatched away from them by divide and rule and false history.
oyatz: May be you will have to ask the Amanayabo of Opobo to tell you this.
No, tell me since you are claiming they are Ijaw....
Just like we ask Agbor people who claim they aren't Igbo why do they speak Igbo then.....but their response is insults just because they couldn't find a logical answer. So , if you hate Igbo this much why do you keep giving your children Igbo names and continued to speak Igbo language ?
We adviced them to employ Bini language instructors and stop this nonsense of speaking Igbo that breeds confusions and always made Ndigbo see them as Igbo....but they never want to leave this inferior Igbo language everybody hates.
Captain8: igbo great as how? are you this stupid... igbos that are begging Ijaw up and down to help them by joining biafra...... every tribe in nigeria can live alone except the ibos who relied on great tribes...
You know danm well you only spew nonsense on this thread. Igbo are generally peaceful otherwise you would have been erased like text on a black board. But don't take Igbo for granted because you don't even have anything to fight with. Your tribe are made up of poorly educated people , oil will no longer be used as a bargaining chip because almost everyone has oil , your population is not up to 1/2 percent of the whole Igbo....how the Bleep are you gonna fight Igbo ?? Blowing up your own pipeline and polluting your source of drinking water ? You are condemned to be decimated if your try any nonsense.
The Igbo in the US can raise enough fund to finance a war with you that can only last one day! Better respect yourself
oyatz: Territories of Countries aren't established just by a traveling narrative of a foreign slave merchant.
You need to know that nobody brought any land from heaven. The lands that a people presently inhabit is the land they are able to posses. This is what Israel and her Arab neighbours have come to understand that no side can push the other side out and both have rights to exist.
In modern international politics, it's no longer acceptable to try to possess a territory by conquering the present inhabitants of the Territories and annex their lands.
What language does Opobo and Bonny speak since you know them more than SE Igbo whom they originated from ?
isan: Rorh is not working on our midfield but he brought onyeka and Aribo out nowhere which shows the man is always thinking but we don't have the talent he can easily picked from all we have are bang average and underdeveloped players and most of the midfielder u guys mentioned here are not national team quality
Cc. isan
Onyeka and Aribo are CM/DM . The Super Eagles need creativity in the middle.
humility33: Long ago Belgium has been a safe haven for Nigeria footballers
Amokachi played there same time he was playing hard for the super eagles
Osaze did same too Ndidi did same too
And many other players besides super eagles players like KVB,Kompany,Lukaku,Lolomba currently doing well in Arsenal is from there. The Belgian league have always been a developmental league 60-80% of talents from there always blossom when they go elsewhere but for a young player your moves matter more than the talent you possess
Henry case was because he pitched tenth with the wrong club...a player move can inhibit his career growth talents not enough. Henry has the talent but.he needs to do more
For Nwakali he has the talent even though i dont rate him,he only needs to do more
For Rohr, like i said he is very clueless. Nerdy is right
Cc. humility 33
Ok , every Nigerian football enthusiast knows that Nwakali is gifted but we also knows he needs more game time to sharpen his game. Now , you stated you don't rate him and may I know why ?
Barryseal: He was shockingly bad against Chelsea last season. I hoped it was a one off but it seems Porto arent convinced. It is reported he is considered 3rd choice now.
Zaidu has a large lungs to run the whole game but I dont know what else after that. Tijani Babangida , Shehu Abdulahi, Ahmed Musa and Sanisu Zaidu have something in common....
Truidstar: Dem say na Nwobodo and innocent bonnke dem invite. Alhassan yussuf or Kingsley Michael maybe.
At least , a creative player is being considered. Whether na Amoo , Nwakali or Nwobodo it doesn't really matter but we need a creative player...Iwobi is not the answer , Aribo is not a playmaker and these guys will not solve the problem.
TheSuperNerd: Mister, the midfield talents are there but Rohr chooses to keep ignoring them. He invited an Abraham Marcus from Portuguese 2nd tier to come play Midfield for us. A lad who plays predominantly as a Winger or Second striker for his club, Feirense and you are here saying "if Rohr thinks any of them is our solution bla bla bla....."
Was Marcus Abraham a solution?? Why did Rohr invite him then??
You and Rohr obviously share one thing in common. No further words needed. Keep capping rubbish in his defense.
I dont know what isan meant we aren't producing enough midfielders. Rohr had consistently ignored some emerging players that could have succeeded much sooner with little help from our national team. If they were foreign born he would have featured them , market them and encourage European clubs to buy them. He made sure Onyekuru was almost frustrated out. He invited Agu and Tijani but chose to start Ajayi in MD....thats wicked and stifling. He made sure Agu nevee got a clear chance to show what ge got but would invite a clubless Musa and Shehu whom have no noticeable impact. Nwakali could have been invited a long time ago and use SE to encourage and market him...afterall he is a Naija groomed talent with abundance gift of football. In a time when we needed creativity in the team he left Nwakali to rot and be forgotten....this is a boy that lifted the U17 cup for us and won the MVP.
Allen102: Almost all the Riverine groups in Rivers state consider themselves ijaws that is 9/10. They don't need to leave port harcourt and go to Bayelsa that is stupid because port harcourt is their ancestry lands.
Every ideology build on falsehood will eventually collapse. Your biggest threat is the new emerging Igbo consciousness....We are finding our foot again! And you know what that means. Our Enuani brothers are back to the Igbo fold , Ukwuani is changing slowly and in the next 30yrs , no Igbo group would be left behind because we are coming strong.
As for Ijaw , well , can you face the current Igbo youths....and we aren't talking about blowing pipelines...lmao
nengibo: You must have notice that the Towns, Titles and Naming are in a language foreign to Igbo , names like Jubojubo(Anglicized to Jaja), Opubo(Opobo),Minima, Ogolo, Fubarakuro,Patesi, Daminabo, Asiparabietogha(Anglicized to Cyprian) , Titles like Amanyanabo, Senibo, Alabo, Amaopuorubo etc , this language like its people is called Ibani egere and is still spoken till today
Onicha and Idemmili towns also adopted Bini titles like Ozoma/Osoma(Bini Esogba ) , Iyasele ( Bini Iyasere) , Akpe Olodi etc. As you can see , neighbors borrow titles from each other.
Eastlink: Obu in Ndoki is courtyard in central Igbo it's Obi and in some dialect it's Ovu.
In Igbo culture, Obu is usually where the elder or Eze sits as his palace or welcomes visitors. Opu on the other hand is cap. For example Opu Agu is the cap made popular by the Aros. Opobo and Bonny people wear this cap during their Nwaottam festival. In the past it was a special cap for chiefs and wealthy men.
Hope you can now decipher the symbolic meaning of the name Opu-Obu. In Igbo when you pronounce the two words together it becomes Opubo.
Opu-Obu which became the name of Opubo the Great the ancestor of Annie Pepple house means a true royalty.
And when King Pepple 11 was interviewed by an English writer when he was in Fernando Po, he said his ancestors originated from Igboland. Now we know this part of Igboland he meant. Ndoki is the place as that name Obu connects with Bonny Igbo dialect.
In Idemmili where I come from and Onicha Obi/Obu is called Iba...Igbo is quite diverse
isan: It is easy when you are coaching with your mouth , even if world class team missed 5 of their regulars their performances will be greatly impacted not to talk of average team like Nigeria , u think those new mildfielders called up will suddenly turn to okocha or oruma overnight , u guys should just give rorh some space
Ndidi can easily be replaced with a better ball playing MD. Etebo isn't really needed. Iwobi is replaceable and Nacho can also be replaced.
Yusuf Tijani Amoo Osimhen Chukwueze Ejuke Onyekuru Balogun Awaziem Simi Moffi Onuachu Nwakali
None of the above play in EPL yet they can do better than your EPL boys if given a chance.
nengibo: Nwa OSU or Nwosu is a slave decedant , no need to whitewash anything because of modernization or Christianity, your ancestors took people for other places and made them slaves it happened across Igbo land and Nigeria just that it wasn't as documented.
Ok , if we are going to have a smooth discussion let's not speak about things we don't know about. I have kindred men who bear Nwosu....now , do you know more than my 80yrs old father ? Abeg , let's move on and not deviate. You sound like you aren't here for civil discussion.
Defensively , calmness( Aina is lackadaisical and mistakes prone) , better passer of the ball. Aina is better going forward which is not really his primary duty.
