Crime / Re: 17 Year Old Nigerian Millionaire Murdered A Defenceless Old Woman by idiotboop(f): 6:38pm On Jun 28, 2006
Hi all , came across this piece of news on the 18yr old kemi Adeyoola , sentenced to life for the murder of a pensioner. I thought how sad and what a waste of a young life and off course how sad for the Mendel family(victims). Please read the link and decide.

I say yes she should go down for this heinous crime .
She must be pretty disturbed, judging by the scenerio of the case.
Her family life must be pretty messed up, goes to show all the money in the world can not buy happiness
Her father now conveniently washes his hands off her, stating she was taken away from him by her mother and he has now disowned her. All too often we find children left with mothers by some Nigerian men and some black men , they only show up when they turn good and if they turn bad they wash their hands off all responsiblity.

What do we think? i appreciate a person has lost their life in this, but like all crimes not everything is black and white, and its always good to explore certain issues as a result of such crimes.

Family / Re: An Arranged Marriage: Is It Right? by idiotboop(f): 4:53am On Jun 26, 2006

people should maybe have some life experience sometimes before they run their mouths sometimes. Listen i worked with a girl, who became a close friend she was from the Gambia and she had arranged marriage, very well educated, pretty, intelligent,but when the time came to get married she followed her tradition, though living in the Uk. she knew from time that there was a man already chosen by her dad,cousins and uncles like they do over there. When first introduced he seemed alrite to her back then. However you know when you leave what you are used to and see other fresh looking brothers ,you soon forget? anyway its what happened.She met and started dating a guy in London and fell head over heels, so she said and all. Anyway , she went to Gambia on holiday and came back months later married. She hated his guts to start with and she told me she could not stand him. She used to torment this man telling him she did not love him, and  loved someone else (she was a virgin though). she said she used to think he was dumb , cause she was a real bitch to him but, he always used to just smile and say she would love him one day. She would refuse to lie in same bed as him, this carried on until , after a while she called me up and said she had never beeen so happy , he treated her well, and she said to me not to be shocked but , she was falling for him. 3yrs on they are still going good according to her.

Is arrranged marriage right?  , why not? , not just from one friend's tale but from things i have read also. Sometimes the choices we make in this day and age can be so so wrong. It may take another's eyes to see what might better suit one. It works for alot of people.

There are exceptions i know. We can't allow abuse of young girls, or even forced marriages, that i am not for. It is practised nearly every where in the world, more so in some continents. PPL DONT CONFUSE 'FORCED AND ARRANGED MARRIAGES'.

There are pros and cons , but to answer whether it is right or wrong will be, unfair. For some it works , i can appreciate the idea behind it totally. If you were to ask ''will i do it''? I'll say No, my character will not allow for it. I asked My friend why she didnt just go with the London boy smiley she said  no i can't. i agreed to this before i left Gambia and it is my tradition. Now what can you say to that?  wink

Ah! How nice to see people can be still judgemental and frigging fickle. I for one will not judge him , if he is guilty of what they say he did, then i leave him and his conscience and his maker if he believes in all that.

I love and will alway LOVE MJ , i have not agreed with many things i have seen him do , but then again , who am i to judge? i got too many frigging splinters in my eyes to know when to begin to pick the specks in his eyes, and thats with mascara and all.

I love his music, i feel happy when i listen to his music thats the main thing. And as for him turning white and hating himself like someone said, well, you got to ask yourself this, have you walked in his shoes? do you know where he has been and what may have affected his life? Yes we all go through $hite, some more than others, and some cope better than others, so lets not get on our friggin high horse.

My take on his life from the little seen over the years is one of a damaged individual, and no, money don't solve $hite. I'd sooner be poor than , have the millions he had and be that damaged.

So yes i love MJ grin, warts and all.

friggin hell !!!!!! angry

Does it matter if the term is Oxford approved? The dude has explained what he means by the term, maybe its a slang used where he comes from, or in his circles, geez does everything have to be nit picked to its most minute form? Darn right rude if you ask me , If the thread don't interest you SV or anybody else, like the poster said move your behind on! You will find the ones making something off nothing are the ones who can't even string sentences together, NO don't ask me to name names you know yourselves.

@godfadda
Is there anything like underfriend? there is now lol, cause it sure defines what you mean to some extent. I see what you mean, i am not underfriend cheesy cause i don't stick or let people who don't add to my life or i to theirs around for long. Got Good friends,people i class as good people,just my kind of people. past the stage where i need to keep a load of pointless relationships, waste of time and energy. Put it this way the numbers on my phone are those that are real friends, acquaintances , well, are people i say a quick hello to at a party, wedding,out in town etc, no real depth there, well as people grow older you begin to see the difference.

Laughing my black a$$ off somewhere in west london smiley

I love Afeni with his silly remarks and all. However he does make alot of sense when he is not smoking whatever he smokes, he had pissed me off before but so what? he has his views let him air them. Alot of people here not naming any names, are feeling threatened by his views and the way he articulates them. Yes he has been offensive, but so have alot of folks round here including the admin, but hey! ''a blackman on a power trip '' is all i am saying there.

Finally afeni annoying and sometimes  offensive as he can be, is one of very few who contribute to intelligent conversations here, mind i said some people guys before the lynch mob decide to bring the backlash lol.

P.s

i think some are not clever enough to get his wit and sarcasm sometimes

yeah your right there.

Black men are all good grin grin

Dont fall into the generalisation trap, you'll just be as guilty as some of those close minded ppl out there, not all Black men are studs in Bed, , dont know about that ''once you go black, never go back'' nonsense. Same way some white men are good, and some are bad, if you going to judge by their penile size then you will have to sample every black man out there in scotland and beyond grin.

Its not how big but what you do with it that matters lots of women who are true will tell you this. I think you like who you like right? wink smiley

Romance / Re: If U Smell Marijuana On Ur Lovers Cloth,wat Will U Do. by idiotboop(f): 9:10pm On Jun 12, 2006
@EASTCOTE

geez you goin to accuse some one of being a druggie just because they know the smell?errr,  have a word!

I knew of people who smoked it when i was in University and if you are familiar with London you can smell it oozing out of dodgy street corners back in the day before it was down graded. so No you don't have to have used it to know the smell

@Habibat
First you know your boyfriend more than anyone, so is different , has his moods changed? and depending on the individual the drug brings out different moods in diff people. I personally wont date him at all whether it made him laid back or aggressive period. If he is taking it its up to you , but watch out for those changes and if its changes you can't handle well, do a runner.

Contrary to general belief, marijuana is not harmless, i wont go into detail but i do know it affects the mental health of an individual eventually, some more than others depending on whether they are predisposed to mental illness.

' cucchi

Where abouts in the uk are you? i'm in London and such relationships are common place, yes you do get the odd ignorant scum turn their noses at interracial relationship. Just ignore it, hard to do if its a new relationship, but rise above it and ignore it. I know what you mean, you get the odd looks that say so much lol . Yes i know some Nigerians are ignorant about their men and white girls especially, same with other races too, i don't even want to get into the whole so called rationale behind the disapproval, cause it is inexcuseable and down right ignorant and its also about people's fear of the ''unknown''.

listen don't let anyone take the piss out of you, just ignore, afterall they are insignificant in your relationship, you can't base your happiness on what others feel is right and wrong.

tell you what Cucchi don't get hung up on this yourself, this white girl ,Nigerian man palavar. You not dating him cause he is Nigerian are you? well,  so fukum is what i say.

hot-angel:

@bettyboop, that's what i think. I think only ladies that r trying to cover wrinkles use foundation. It's called PAN-CAKE. I don't like it. My own opinion that is.

by all means have an opinion on not liking it my dear but, saying people who use it are doing so because they have wrinkles is  quite ignorant, come on now! you say ''only ladies trying to cover,  quite a strong statement, based on what exactly, you run a survey of foundation users or something? quite an outrageous claim, as i know people as young as 16 who use them and one can clearly say with out proof that ladies in this age bracket have not started the aging process yet. And  even women of mature age sometimes don't have wrinkles down to their physiology, WHAT SAY YOU?

Pan-cake or whatever u call it, Genevieve nnaji uses foundation, i have seen her in many nigerian films with no makeup at all and found no wrinkle cheesy

Its ok to say you don't like foundation but do not  make outrageous claims as to the profile of the users.

simple scandalouswink
