My heart agrees with you but my brain strongly disagrees.

I think I'll follow my heart. . . . . there's hope, Nigeria will change for the better cool

But my brain says "not in our lifetime"

It took courage for founding fathers of this great Nation to demand for independence from the Brits, they were ready to lay down their lives to defend their call for freedom and justice. Thats why they were respected.

It will take courage from us today to change this country.... It will change in my lifetime.

Gbongbonosi: they are fighting for they own selfishness

You are right.
Any politician in the PDP who has presidential ambitions because he is not satisfied with GEJ should wait for the primaries or join another political party. Are they not the ones who chose him. As long as he carrying out the manisfesto of the party (if they have one) their complaints that he is from the south is myopic, selfish and bigoted. I dont blame GEJ for not speaking out about his political ambitions in the near future, indeed it will be a political blunder on his part if he comes out now and say whether he will or will not contest the next election.

The opposition on the other hand seems to be interested only in getting GEJ out of office. They are not telling Nigerians what they will do if they win the elections. If they keep focusing on individuals, tribal and religious affliations instead of ideologies and how they plan on taking Nigeria out of this Dark Age,
How they plan to generate and supply steady electricity. How they plan to build and maintain modern access roads.
How they plan to ensure adequate healthcare for Nigerians
How they plan to employ the growing number of unemployed youths.
They should just forget about 2015 because without rigging GEJ will defeat them again.

blackmale: This video is amazing. Balewa spoke eloquently unlike other Northerners today. This video also shows you the respect Nigeria was accorded in those days. The world thought Nigeria would be a ray of hope for the black race. But they were absolutely wrong! Tribalism and corruption destroyed everything...

There is Hope.

Politics / Re: We Can’t Place Bounty On Maina Due To 2013 Budget Delay – Police by idlaw2k3(m): 9:53am On Feb 21, 2013
The I.G. could simply have ordered the police detail attached to Maina to escort him to appear befor the senate. But rather he withdrew them leaving him with the opportunity to abscond. Now they are looking for him and cant place a bounty on his head because the budjet has not been passed. I wonder if the Police had already made provisions in the budjet for Maina's bounty?
Politics / We Can’t Place Bounty On Maina Due To 2013 Budget Delay – Police by idlaw2k3(m): 6:43am On Feb 21, 2013
The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar on Tuesday said he is prepared to place monetary ransom on the head of the chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.

The police boss made the remark when he appeared before the senate committee on police affairs to explain his failure to execute the arrest warrant on Mr Maina.

He told lawmakers that he withdrew the police officers attached to Mr Maina immediately the senate issued the warrant of arrest and since that time, Mr Maina absconded and has not been seen.

Mr Abubakar told the lawmakers that he is handicapped by the delay in the signing of the 2013 budget to be able to place a handsome reward for whoever apprehends Mr Maina.

He however, explained that they are yet to scan the immigration documents to determine if the suspect has left the country and which country he ran to.

Notwithstanding he said that the police would soon declare him wanted through the involvement of the International Police Organisation (INTERPOL).

Just a few years ago a communication company said it cant bill per second untill glo came. Data plans in Nigeria are a complete rip off. The worst part of it is that you dont even get what you pay for. Take mtn easy surf. data plan for instance. After using 65% of your plan they shut down your connection. Claiming fair data usage.

Other countries have cheap broadband. We are still struggling with poor networks that charge outrageously exorbitant rates. Imagine paying N1200 for only 250mb

lanre80: I beg to differ. What is the offence of Maina who is just pension task boss and does not have access to pension funds but to double check adequate disbtribution by pension fund managers. The law makers are just nothing but shameless thieves. I believe the truth will come out one day. Maina unfolded the corruption in the police pension in which many other top politians are inolved. That was why d guy pleaded guilty and got soft landing with the help of other political thieves.

Then why is he hiding if he is innocent?

Mandelaguy: People who are not informed keep embarrassing us with their ignorance. My brother, thank you for reminding them that the is a committee on civil service and also that the president is not a king, they should go and get schooled on governance. Rabble rousers!

Are you supporting Maina's actions? He is the chairman of the pension reform task team. He refused to appear before the senate committee when summoned to brief the house on his findings and clear the air on the allegations raised against him. He rather went to the press claiming the senators wanted to collect money from him. He was invited 5 times to substantiate his claims but he went into hiding. Why is he hiding if his hands are clean? Even if he is innocent his actions are not only disrespectful to the Senate but also an affront to the Nation in General.

The police say they cant find Maina but he drives around in a convoy. He also recently recieved the president at the airport. He still recieves salary without stepping into his office yet the presidency cannot condemm his action or dismiss him. This is serious.
