To me, Gov Ben Ayade will turn things around in Cross river state. Though he is a PDP governor, but he is matured and politically competent with the way he works with the Central government under the umbrella of APC . I have a conviction that by the end of his tenure,he will be ranked among the best governors in this present regime, most especially because of the projects he has laid his hands upon. The projects which include industrialisation, massive road project, modern agricultural projects etc Below a link showing a monorail project he just completed http://www.calabarblog.com/ayade-amcon-boss-take-maiden-ride-calabar-monorail/ |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Monday, secured the conviction of a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and former Caretaker Chairman, Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the state, Gabriel Daudu, for a N1.4 billion fraud. Daudu, who was first arraigned in April 2010, was prosecuted by the EFCC on a 208 count charge bordering on money laundering and misappropriation of public funds. Justice Inyang Ekwo, who presided over the case at a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, found him guilty of 77 counts and sentenced him to 154 years imprisonment. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/202409-n1-4bn-fraud-court-sentences-ex-kogi-lawmaker-154-year-jail.html |

This creature was killed tonight in my room, this happened to be the third time I would kill a creature of this nature inside the room. As a bachelor, I love lying on the rug when relaxing or when ''nairalanding'' at night. So tonight ,I was doing the usual before I quickly left for kitchen to check the meat i was frying, on return to the room ,I sighted the creature below crawling very close to the point I stood. It got me scared a bit. My question now is that what can be the cause of their presence in the room. And this is a room I flit at times.

As Africa is always described as a continent of poverty, war, diseases etc by the global media. This is time for Africans to smile with the news about an African nation making a giant stride in the aspect of Technology. Ghana is now a country involved in automobile production. see the Cars made in Ghana in the link below http://edition.cnn.com/2015/12/29/africa/ghana-katanka-cars-feat/ |

Hope no life lost, mind wandering (of the driver) or poor servicing/maintenance (of the tanker) might have caused that. Speaking Generally, i think there is an urgent need to check the activities of the tankers, most of the drivers are reckless and not fully trained. FG should quickly install the speed limiting device, putting the lowest possible, reasonable speed limit for them and put the cargo train on track fast. The rate of havoc they cause to small vehicles and road degradation is getting outrageous. |
