The interior and exterior design is significantly different and the infotainment features have been enhanced with standard Apple Car-play and Android Auto features. A huge 12.3-inch touchscreen is also available now.

What is the interior and vehicle technology of the Highlander?

The interior of the 2020 Highlander largely retains the functionality of its predecessor, but makes it visually striking. The material quality has also been improved, with more sewn, simulated leather surfaces. To be fair, we have only seen the platinum top equipment at this point.
Indoor storage remains a priority for Highlander. It retains the Mid-Dash shelf of its predecessor, but is now split into two (one under the center stacker controls, the other in front of the front passenger) and has a more soggy, grippy surface to keep items secure. Below is a larger area dedicated to the biggest smartphones. There are all three front USB ports, while the rear are located on the back of the center console (in the third row are none). The center console's container is again very deep and covered by a sliding lid - but there is only one lid instead of the old model's strange clamshell design, and it is more densely padded to better serve as an armrest.

In terms of technology, each 2020 Highlander comes standard with Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, Waze app control, satellite radio, and WiFi in the car. All trim levels except the Top Platinum come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen, which is currently the optional screen size on most Toyota. It's also fairly high on the dashboard, making it easy to see (and effectively bigger than sitting closer to your TV). The Platinum has a 12.3-inch screen, which is first a Toyota. Like other extra-wide screens, such as the Kia Telluride, it allows 60/40 information distribution. For example, you can view hybrid information and the Apple CarPlay interface at the same time so you no longer have to constantly switch between screens.

How tall is Highlander?

If you shop within the Toyota family, the Highlander offers significantly more space than the RAV4, both in terms of load capacity and the additional row of seats. It also has a lower, more accessible space than the 4Runner.

However, the Highlander is one of the smallest three-row crossovers on the market. Apart from the Kia Sorento and perhaps the Mazda CX-9, you'll find more load capacity and passenger space in the competitors of the Highlander. This is especially true for the third row. The second row slides a little further to give you more legroom, but the third row stays awfully close to the ground, and it will not be long before your adolescent children cramp on the way back and feel claustrophobic. Teenagers and adults full size will be grumpy.
The smaller size of the Highlander may be just the thing for many buyers who appreciate the more manageable dimensions of parking or maneuvering in confined spaces. If you only need this third row for occasional use and only a little more space than a RAV4 provides, it does not matter that the Highlander can not keep up with the jumbo size of the competition.

We all have a bad habit here or there that we need to break. But did you know that you have bad eye habits you need to break also? These bad eye habits could have created the eye condition that you have right now. Or you currently could be creating one as we speak. Here is a list of bad eye habits, that you should break right now, and how to do it.

1. Rubbing Your Eyes

Did you know the skin around your eyes is one of the most sensitive skin areas on your body? Rubbing your eyes can break tiny blood vessels under the skin’s surface which can cause puffy eyes, dark circles or droopy eyelids. Not to mention rubbing your eyes,

can also cause pressure to build up in your eyes which leads to all sorts of eye conditions. If you feel your eyes are becoming tired and you need to rub them, gently tab on the skin all around your eyes with your pointer and middle finger.

2. Eating Poorly

Change your diet. Instead of fast food, and carbs, eat more fruits and vegetables. Eating a well-balanced meal not only helps your body run smoothly, it also helps improve your vision and can even prevent many age-related eye diseases. Aim for a diet rich is colorful fruit and vegetables and leafy greens.

3. Wearing Sunglasses

We’ve all heard people nag about putting on sunglasses, so the Sun’s UV Rays won’t damage your eyes, but in reality the sun is good for your eyes. Although looking directly at the mid-day sun might be a no-no, looking at the sunrise or sunset is not only a great way to relax you mind, you are also relaxing your eyes. Best thing to do for your body is quit smoking. Get some family or friends to support you and BREAK THE HABIT!

5. Not Drinking Enough Water

Are you drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day? It may seem like a lot, but it’s really necessary. Not drinking enough water and having a high-sodium diet, can cause your body to dehydrate. Your body (including your eyes) are made up of 70% water. If you become dehydrated, you are draining your eyes out of the moisture they need to create enough tears to stay healthy. Symptoms associated with dehydration in the eyes are redness, puffy eyelids and dryness. If you find it hard to get enough water throughout the day, try setting an hour timer at your desk, when the timer goes off, finish your water glass and refill it.

6. Sleeping Poorly

Your body needs sleep to recoup after a hard day’s work. Staying up late and getting up early doesn’t allow the time your body needs to get into a deep realm of sleep. Causing you to become achy and tired throughout the day. But it’s not just your body that shows you’re lacking sleep, your eyes are usually the first sign. Dark circles, eye twitching, blurry vision, dry and red eyes are signs you are not getting enough sleep. Try to aim for 6 – 8 hours of sleep each night. It’s best to make this a routine, so even on the weekends, aim for that 6 – 8 hours! The best part is your eyes are often the first to show you’ve had a good night sleep, giving you alert, glowing, bright eyes. So go get a good night’s sleep tonight and reap the benefits tomorrow!


7. Not Giving Your Eyes Time To Breathe

If you have astigmatism, are nearsighted or farsighted and wear glasses or contact lenses daily, give your eyes time to breathe. Don’t where your glasses all the time, take them off and do tasks that don’t require them, such as reading a book if you are sitting directly on your eye. Your eye needs oxygen to fight infection. If you wear contacts daily, you are at a greater risk of developing an eye infection or dry eyes, which can cause you to scratch your cornea due to the lens drying out. Always alternate between glasses and contacts, and take a break from both to really see the world from your own eyes.

8. Lying Down While Watching TV

When you watch movies or TV do you lie down on the couch? It may not seem like something that hurts your eyes, but lying down while watching TV, puts serious strain on your eyes. Your eyes aren’t level with the TV, they

are viewing the TV at an angle, which causes your eyes to try to focus on the image while flipping it right side up. All the added strain is causing your vision to deteriorate. From now on, sit up on the couch while watching TV and while we are at it, sit at a good distance away from the TV screen.

9. Reading in Poor Light

Everyone likes a good book in bed from time to time. But if you are reading in poor lighting you are hurting your eyes. Dim light while reading can make it difficult for your eyes to focus, causing short-term eye fatigue, dry eyes and blurred vision. Always have a reading lamp on while reading. Invest in a low watt reading light for your bed side table, that way you can enjoy your book in bed, while not disturbing your partner.

10. Reading While Travelling

One of the worst things you can do for your eyes, is reading while in a moving vehicle. It may get boring sitting on that train or during a road trip, but it puts strain on your eyes.

Before you give up on life and conclude it's all over for you, let this event of John 8 restore hope in you and strengthen your heart once more.

Everyone saw the constant smile on her face, the beauty that constantly radiated through her eyes and the confidence with which she walked. She was raised a good girl, a virgin, and proudly married as one. Everyone knew that. But no one knew the inner battles she was going through, the weakness that was out to consume her - her lack of sexual satisfaction in only one man, her husband.

This was never the life she had planned for when she said “I do” to him. She had vowed to love and give her body only to him. But then life happened and she soon discovered her body always wanted more and more, regardless of how hard she tried to control herself, there always seemed to be more out there than only her husband could give her.

She knew it was wrong to even think of such but the thoughts keep showing up in her head, several times a day. Sometimes she resisted them but at other times she secretly enjoyed them. “It’s just a thought!” She must have said to herself.

And then the temptations started coming. Day in day out. Week after week, nice, young and handsome rich men stood in her way. On the streets, in the market, and even in the church. Poor, rich, old and young men never let her be.

She kept resisting these temptations and the strong urge to taste life outside of her matrimonial bed until one day something happened. She had woken up very early in the morning that day to prepare for the gathering at the temple. Her husband was still sleeping, tired from yesterday’s work so she let him sleep on.

Putting on her clothes and favourite perfume as usual, she dashed out of the house towards the temple. Halfway to the gathering, she remembered she needed to check up on one of the brothers she had met at the temple sometime ago. The only true male friend she had confided in about her sexual weakness and struggles apart from her husband.

Is it the way he hugged her that morning to welcome her into his house? Or the way he rubbed her shoulders while she was still in his embrace? Or the special way with which he looked into her eyes telling how beautiful she was that morning? She can’t remember.

All she remember was that within a few minutes of getting to that house she was stark naked with him on his bed before the noise and strong hands of men yanked her from the bed with her barely managing to put on some of her clothes.

Passing through the streets that led to the temple, all the men she had at one time refused their sexual advances jeered profusely at her -especially the scribes and Pharisees. With each picking his own stone, they joined the crowd and dragged her to the temple to meet a man whom they would make preside over the case as judge. Of course the outcome of the judgement was already certain. They were only waiting for the judge to pronounce it before they will all stone her to death.

Knowing fully well the demands of the Law and her coming fate, she gave up on life and left herself at the mercy of her captors and accusers without any attempt to run or escape. She eagerly waited for the judge to pronounce it so she could escape the shame of her actions through death.

Such is the story of the woman who was caught in adultery in John chapter 8.

Joh 8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Joh 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

Joh 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Joh 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Joh 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

If this woman were to be younger and here today, she would be that young girl reading this who had brought shame upon herself by getting pregnant outside of wedlock.

If she were to be a young man here, she would be that young man out there reading this who is currently battling drug addictions, alcohol and porn.

She would be that man who due to the pressures of life had given in to armed robbery, 419, bribery and corruption.

She would be that young single mother who for the sake of her child would do anything for money for that child to eat. Or the fellow who would do any kind of dirty business to survive.

She would be that fellow who had struggled to no avail to live right and had given up completely. The fellow whom the society had concluded a nonentity, good for nothing and eternally useless.

She would be that fellow who is highly religious and all smiles but deep down is going through serious issues no one knows nor can fully comprehend.

She would be that fellow with a bottle of “sniper,” gun, knife or even rope waiting to end his life before reading this. The fellow who had already drafted his or her suicide letter.

Regardless of how she relates to your own story, here is what the master, the true judge of the earth said to her and is saying to you right now.

Joh 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

“Neither do I condemn thee!”

“Neither do I condemn thee dear daughter!”

“Neither do I condemn thee dear son!”

Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Don’t give up on life yet. Don’t go the way of suicide because of whatever it is that you have done. God in Christ declares you “justified,” “free from condemnation”
