SportsCheik Tiote Is Dead by idrezee(op): 5:47pm On Jun 05, 2017
The former Newcastle United player was rushed to hospital in Beijing, but emergency services failed to revive him, his agent confirmed
Former Newcastle United player Cheick Tiote has died after collapsing during a training session on Monday.
The Ivorian was training with second-tier Chinese side Beijing Enterprises, who he joined in February, when he passed out and was rushed to hospital.

But emergency treatment failed to revive him, and it was later confirmed that he had passed away.
Tiote's representative Emanuele Palladino said: "It is with deep sadness that I confirm that my client Cheick Tiote sadly passed away earlier today after collapsing in training with his club Beijing Enterprises.
"We cannot say any more at the moment and we request that his family's privacy be respected at this difficult time.
"We ask for all your prayers."
A statement from Beijing Enterprises also confirmed the news of Tiote’s death.
It read: “At 6pm on June 5th, Mr Cheick Tiote fell unconscious to the ground during training.
“He was immediately taken to hospital, but unfortunately died at 7pm on June 5th. We have informed his relatives of his death.
“After joining Beijing Enterprises Group FC on February 5th 2017, Mr Tiote has made a great contribution to the club and has received plaudits from the coaching staff and team-mates for his superb ability and professionalism.
“We hereby express our sincere condolences following Mr Tiote’s unfortunate death.”
Tiote had been a mainstay for Beijing Enterprises, starting all 11 matches to date this season.
On Saturday, the 30-year-old helped his team secure a 4-2 victory against Baoding Ronda.
The midfielder started his career in Belgium with Anderlecht and also represented Twente and Roda JC in the Netherlands, as well as making 52 international appearances for Ivory Coast.

Christianity EtcRe: My Pastor Ordered Me Out Of The Church During Sunday Service by idrezee(m): 3:24pm On May 28, 2017
9jakohai:
Hmmm

Sorry, but you actually have a problem...and that is pride.

Remember, the pastor asked you to tuck in your shirt. He did not ask you to go and steal, cheat, lie,or do something that is dishonorable to God.

Thing about being a Chirsitan is that we have to humble ourselves, and follow what our Elder in Christ has to say sometimes.

Modified

I did not know that expressing my opinion on Nairaland could make me so popular. smiley

The sad thing about most of the responses to me here are the fact that some of them have chosen to insult me and call me unprintable names.I have also gotten threatened once too.Chrisitanity in Nigeria has a lot of work to do among the adherents....

For those who tried to politely engage my comment...a big thank you. Yes...tucking in does not make a man right before God...it is what is in his heart that counts. But...at the same time...out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Leaving church because of being asked to tuck in shirt does not show a humble heart.

Am sure that if the OP was asked to tuck in his shirt at his placeof work...he would do so immediately...because he does not want to lose his job.(Being a bit facetious here...I know).

Finally....the point here is humility. Being humble is an ongoing process. It is one I go through everyday...and one I hope to keep on going through. As long as I stay within God's Word.

God bless everyone who put me in their mentions...good and bad. I still love you all anyway!

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

I visited her handle and saw this

"I'm sorry, if I ignored any message as regards my last night rant. For my sis sake I ll rather just pim. She's been through a lot already"

Someone would just wake up and start accusing men of God left and right as if it's a hubby. No proof no convincing statement yet a reputable blog like NL will decide to bring such nonsense to the front page just like that.

Those mad demonic agents on social media have started again and the day you will start seeing the consequence of these things is almost here. They wouldn't try such with Muslim clerics but since Pastors don't preach violence, they can write rubbish about them.

Must you mention Muslims in every comment?
Pastor commit crime, a christian cried out.
How is this related in any way to Muslim clerics and violence.
May God save u from ur extremism.
Christianity EtcApostle Suleman : My Hero by idrezee(op): 11:00pm On Mar 08, 2017
As a child I had three heroes, and I consider their shows as the biggest shows on my guardian's 21 inches TV. I can watch Superman, Batman, and Spiderman till thy Kingdom come, then I became an adult and chosed a new hero :SULEMAN (dont laugh). Now unlike Superman, Spiderman and Batman SULEMAN ain't fictional but real, he is not just a hero but a man of God, and every night I watch him on sister Hajia's TV (yes sister Hajia is a xtian and she is my sister). I will stay glued to the TV and shout amen at almost every halleluyah, and when it's time to go to bed, I will sulk silently and wish I can watch him some more. Its not my fault, I actually attended missionary schools for nursery and Primary in PH. That was my teenage love for my newest hero SULEMAN. When he had problems with El-Rufai I posted Nothing cos my sentiments want allow it, then he said El-Rufai will not win Kaduna State Governoship, and Rufai won with over 80%, then he said Rufai will die, well El-Rufai ain't dead yet, ofcos my likeness for Hero SULEMAN was forced to obey the law of gravity - too many inconsistensies. Then Stephenie Otobo (google that name) appeard from God knows where and. .. .. ... .. .. .. .. ... . When I read about the supposed scandal I Couldn't but blame El-Rufai, etc, I said "hell-rufai is fighting back" and I didn't believe a thing the girl said, then I read SULEMAN's part and his story was so flawed I instantly knew my dear hero too has a joystick and maybe he is tired of eating the convetional missionary styled Rice and wanted to taste something different.
Well I have a lot to write about this but I will let time do what it does best. One thing is certain though, SULEMAN and Stephenie had something going on maybe not as painted by the latter but certainly there is shomshin between them. Don't believe this at ur own peril.

Just as it is the Muslims business to reject food from Christians. So why are you freaking out about it? Why not leave people to mind their business?
I'm a Muslim and the essence of the post is that rejecting xtians food is unislamic, Islam didn't teach that and xtians rejecting sallah food is bad too cos it's not in the bible. It's an individual something under the guise of religion. Thanks.

Xmas and Muslims: #mystand
I have an uncle who lives in Owele Ankpa, he is very humble, does most things right- he is the definition of a true man of God, yes he is a pastor, in my family xtians and Muslims mingle like that. My sister who is a xtian is the best human my family can boast of morally, she is far better than my siblings and I, we celebrate xmas and sallah together. Now to the topic, Muslims don't eat meat killed my people of other faith, it must be slaughtered by a Muslim and to make sure we carry everybody along my afore mentioned uncle will invite a Muslim to help kill his goats when he has naming ceremony, etc.
When I was with Al-Hikmah University Ilorin as an ICT consultant (Yes I'm jack of all trade), I became very close to God and will always say "salam" instead of "good afternoon" "good morning" cos even if u say " good afternoon" they will reply with salam, now the disadvantage of this is the less than 0.005% Christians in the university community often felt left out though no one complained, then around September 2013 we recruited a Web developer and he is a xtian, making xtians in the whole ICT department just two in number, during big sallah they gave us lengthy holiday like the one most companies give for Xmas and shared rice. Bags of rice. As a graduate staff I was a beneficiary, infact we all benefitted, xtians and Muslim staff alike.
Then Xmas came, I wasn't expecting similar treatment cos this is a Muslim university though they have hundreds of xtian students, and our new xtian staff, remember the Web developer? He brought us maltina and other goodies, can't remember again, the maltina was like two cartons and I drank almost ten cans if not more cos he brought them almost a week to Xmas and nobody touched it except me and the other xtian, so everyday I come to work I take maltina with my breakfast, lunch and even take one home for dinner (don't laugh) , he bought those things with money, somebody must consume them. Now, the other copper is an acclaimed mallam with beards and "fear ground" trouser, the first time I gave him a can of "our" maltina he rejected " it's Mr. Atolegbe that told me to give u" that's me talking already drinking mine, " I know that's why I rejected it, it's for Xmas and we don't eat xmas food" maybe I didn't quote his exact words but that was the message and may Allah forgive me if I make any mistake in this narration, the mistake would be mine and not my religion's.
I wanted enlightening him but he is the "mallam" and I the average Muslim,
nothing I say will work as I will have to convince plenty people who out of ignorance think they know Islam more than Idris cos he doesn't keep beards and wear "fear ground" trousers.
The question is why don't u eat xmas food? Because they are celebrating the birth of Christ, the same Jesus whose name was mentioned more than ten times in the Quran, who the Quran said he is truly the Messiah, Jesus is for xtians as well as Muslims, he is for the whole world though the bible claims he is for the tribe of judah, he is just for the children of Israel but then that is new testament and most of the authors don't even know Christ, they wrote their books on "hear say" stories from others and unfortunately Jesus didn't have an author biography (I stand to be corrected).
Sorry I derailed a bit, I just wanted to point out I stand with the old testament.
Xmas is not and will never be the birthday of Jesus, he wasn't born in the winter so those of u hypocritical Muslims running away from xmas food u should know that we are celebrating a date set aside to have fun after a stressful year. 25th December is not his birthday, and assuming 25th December is his birthday I wouldn't have participated whatsoever because my religion forbids doing birthday for the dead especially if they didn't do it themselves when alive, Yes MAULUD is also haram and it's bid'ah 'ah (innovation) and very punishable. Prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW) didn't do anything like birthday during his lifetime but today 12th Rabiul-awal is even a holiday in Nigeria.
In summary, civilised and educated Muslims will eat ur xmas food if the meat is killed by a Muslim, cos xmas is not even the celebration of any body's birthday but more of an end of the year celebration.

Well.........I have helped my boss with his bags before, should be ones I guess, though he employed somebody who does that, walking empty handed alongside ur boss with his hand full can be embarrassing and even termed disrespectful especially in this part of the world but then notwithstanding our collective behaviour here we still have people like that Lebanese man, I can remember when I was to set up a meeting between my boss and a much respected potential client, when I walked the client into my boss' office he has hardly finished eating, then he looked at me "Idris please call this boy to clear the table" that boy was faraway and they need the place clean b4 the meeting can hold so I had to do it myself even when objections was written boldly on his face. This is Africa and we ve got culture, apart from being ur boss in most cases s/he is older. Bosses shouldn't stress their employees unnecessarily but as an employee you should learn to help with some informal work once in a long while especially when it's extremely needed except if ur boss says otherwise.
