This one is a tough question that leaves every1 to his own opinion. Personally I don't like d idea of using breakers in btw cc n Ba3... If the breaker trips cc gets fried, and the only thing that can mk it trip is if there is short circuit on the ba3, that ll nt happen if the ba3 terminals r well covered...

But If the wrong hand go trip dt breaker n cc fry, e go pain person o, i rather leave it abeg

this is where I stand. cost/benefit/safety analysis. size/oversize ur link cable, protect/cover terminals Wella, then leave cc to do it's work

Wow impressed with fangpusun. I bought their bmv 700 and when it delivered I noticed that the display had issues, it wasn't that bad the only problem been 7 looking like 1 and some mild clarity issues. So I mailed them and was expecting them to tell me they will offer a discount on my next buy but they said they will send another unit. I expected them to send only the display unit since the shunt and supplied cables were working buy lo and behold they sent another complete unit thru DHL ie the bmv 700 monitor, 500a shunt and cables. Infact they even added a temp sensor which is odd because the bmv doesn't use it and so I don't know why they added it. So I now have 2 units of complete bmv 700 plus a temp sensor wire that I don't know what to do with. Maybe I'll keep it for a future device, any suggestions?

I recently added 500w panel to my 1.5kva inverter using 30a pwm cc.

I noticed at peak when the sun is high i get 13.5A from the charge controller ( with load connected to the inverter) but get 4.5A when i disconnected the load.

Please why the difference.


NB: my inverter shows battery fully charged when i connected it to NEPA

1. the solar is doing it's job correctly. when ur load is on the current on cc increase telling u d sun is supplying/complimenting ur load.

2. when u off d load, meaning no current draw over the maintainance charge of 4.5a.

3. yes, d inverter wl show batr full because d set voltage for batr full charge is met.

Thanx Guys...pls any advice on how these recommended inverters handle about 2 hrs use of the electric hot plate of approx 2kW. I hear some brands of inverters don't do well with hot plates. even while below maximum rated inverter capacity.

2kw ke. for how long? odiquariski o. there is this low consuming hot plate somebody talked about last time. u can try that. uses customise pot. with that ur batrs are not stressed

Hello fellow DIYers....yesterday we lined up an alternate power line from my inverter to our sumo water pump I was told to be 1hp. At start up my 1.5kva inverter overload light came up and it shut down on the overload protection mode.
I know some guys here pump water effortlessly with their inverters so my question is which brand do you guys use.
Currently I use a 1.5kva Eco luminous inverter.
I'm skewed towards a prag or same luminous but with 24v battery bank source. But open to FTA advice.....not adverts

u need to confirm d rating of d pump. i believe this is surface pump. if u still want to maintain d pump to run on inverter I think a 3kva 24v wl do with good head room. i only use 1.5kva Emel to handle 0.75hp borehole pump.
updated - I hope u switch off every other load b4 running d pump? of note is that I tried sukam 1.5kva for d borehole but could not carry it but the Emel carryam onetime
