ITS CHEAP and readily available NAAAH, thats why most installers go for it. the avg nigerian solar installer is usually on same level as the roadside mechanic. has absofuckinglutely no clue of the physics behind whatever they are doing.....NA SO WE DEY DO AM, is their ever handy cliche/motto
a very useless cc, yet to hear any good thing about it.

2ndly, as like most cars owners, the avg nigerian is also clueless and relies entirely on the installer/mechanic ....doesnt make effort to acquire some basic knowledge.......leaving the fate of solar investments running into several millions in the hands of a not so competent individual

I tell u even with this pwm roysolar, dem client go still shout that system is expensive. though the cc is good, cheap and serving in it's own class, can we compare it to other cc like mppt that is in their own class? every cc it's in own class and grades. na your money and preference. I submit also that the integrity of every installers is in their installation in line with clients demand and solutions. nagode

yes.

I believe what u are thinking is that if d system is 12v u should have panel exactly 12v. no sir. ur panel is for 12v setup while a 24v setup panels volt range higher up to 38v. now ur CC is ok. u can use it for 12v or 24v setup as far as u maintain setpoint of 50volt.

Good day house. House, my 60a powermr mppt controller arrived today. I shall fix it tomorrow.
But I have a challenge. The panel and battery ports has two +be and two -ve ports. How do I connect since wires from my panels and batteries are not two but one ie one +ve and one -be wires. I understand the pv, b and ou. Just how do i make one wire nter two slots. Those tjat are using this type of cc could also help.

I also read that I should fix circuit breakers between panel and cc and between cc and battery. I have read this before and has pencilled down this but has not bought due to funds. What is the implication of installing the cc now and incorporating the breakers at a later date. Pls keep in mind I will fix all by DIY so keep response easy to understand. Drawing will be appreciated too. Thanks.

I advise you study the manual, because with d look of d cc as if it allow d feedn in of 2 separate pv/batr setup. if not just use 1set of -+ gate for pv/batr. I may be wrong o because I have not use this cc b4. so pls study d manual and tell us u hear

When all original goals are met, I just invent new stretch goals e.g I recently snapped up an 8Kva Victron Quattro just to play with at home, it was a fun weekend separating neutrals and rejigging my setup just to work with Victron

From my current ~11kw of panels, I plan to upgrade to ~16kw and a couple of new Victron Phoenix inverters in parallel by the end of the year.

The new mantra is now energy oversufficiency with multiple points of redundancy all built around renewable energy

Hello solar gurus, what could be the cause when the CC is showing it's receiving voltage from the solar (64V) panels but 0.0Amp? The CC is not indicating any wiring fault and I cant pinpoint when it started happening.

The system consists of 4 solar panels (300W each) connected to a 60A CC and a 3KVA inverter connected to a 48V battery system.

put on heavy load daytime lk tv/fridge then check if amp reading change, it means ur batr was full b4 when reading was 0 if not from experience check ur panel to cc link wire

ok. let's see.

3500 x 12hr = 42000w

now to incorporate an inverter with backup capacity to drive ur load, I will go for 7 or 8kva 180v. I prefer load to inverter range of <=50%.
therefore:
batr on 180v (15x2set) = 30pcs i.e 400amp x 180v = 72000w. batr to load 58%
then for solar, go for not less than 9kw but the more d better (like 12kw) to supply load day time and fill ur battery back for night run.

like I said before, in solar I always prefer serious load management to trim cost. at this level, no compromise on batr quality pls.

i was at carlcare, told to change d batr which I did but still d same. after it off on 30%, when I plug it to charge, it will show 0% or 1%. my piss-off on this tecno f1 is that d batr is small. is there any replacement batr in d range of 4000MA?

1. 4 x 6V batteries of 200AH each or
1. 2 x 12V batteries of 200AH each

Both in a 12V system.
In short, is there an advantage of buying 6V over 12Vs?

from experience I advise you go for 24v system. 12v setup in anyway is cagey. restructure your cost. u can use 100/150a,12v batr (quanta o!). u can do 1.5kva wt this. see below

every typical roof have ridges and gutters. the nail that attach d roof to rafter is on d ridges. from experience, when installing, never punch gutter, that is d water way. infact as for me when installing, I try to use d already roof nail punch. even with that i don't forget as precaution to put flashbar before and after my nail as sealant. nagode

Please i need urgent help.
My office intends to install a solar system.
The installer gave a very questionable quotation.

Below is a brief summary of the installers spec
30kw 3 phase inverter,
100 units of 300w solar panels (24v)
60 units of 12v 200AH SMF

Duh its not in my department but my colleague asked me to help him since i have solar system in my house.
I made a few calls but it seems 40 kva inverters are not too common.

Based on some research i came up with a
40kva Inverter (360v)
105nr of 340w mono panels in 15S 7P arrangement
60nr of 12v 200Ah batteries in 30S 2P arrangement


Please
1. What brand of 40kva can be recommended ( if possible capable of custom setting for lithium battery cahrging )
2. Are there lithium batteries that can be connected in series to achieve 360v.

well just to add my voice. I believe ur office will not like to throw away money. why did they get single qoute/advise? they should open up and get 3 - 5 views and quote, call for defense and analysis of each system, then go for d best one. it is not this era an organization will throw away their money on single quote especially for high capacity system. shikenan nafada nawa

hmm asbestos roof. ok. proper care not to overstep to avoid cracks leading to leakages. if asbestos is that thick strong ones, u may need driller to give way to ur screws or nails. have roof sealant or patch available, I don't do asbestos without roof patch. every of my nails/screw goes through a patch or I patch cover it. talking from experience o. take care. enjoy ya money.

I have been using this new top light battery brand of 12v200amh for about 3 weeks now & I intend buying another 12v200amp of a different brand maybe quanta next week to add to it. Is advisable to mix batteries of different produce. The top light product I'm currently using is not too impressive at the moment. I won't like to buy a second one of it. Pls what's ur advise

NO NO NO. way out: sell d 2 top lights batrs, add money, get 4 quanta or stick with 2 quanta, keep d change and have ur rest. shikenan
