Career / How To Be As Valuable As The Iphone In Business And Career by IfeanyiAkomas(m): 2:17pm On Aug 20, 2020
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SALES,
MARKETING AND
BRANDING

Sales is convincing someone to buy, has to do with your lips, probably on a phone call or in a face to face meeting.
Marketing is generating business. Everything and anything you do to keep a client. Every activity that directly generates revenue is marketing
Branding is influencing. It appeals to our desires and touches our emotions. It has a goal of emotionally predisposing consumers to enter into a business relationship.
It is positioning a product, service or ‘yourself’ that people feel compelled on an irresistible urge to purchase your product or service.
Personal branding doesn’t mean a million followers, it’s simply your personal reputation. What comes to the minds of your friends, your business partners, your customers, if they are asked to describe you now? What three words are they saying about you that you don’t like? Again, what three words do you want them to describe you as? Personal brand is what you want people to say about you immediately they see you.

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS
Are you perceived as you want to be?
What is your reputation in your field?
What does your brand represent most?
What makes you unique?
Does your social media reflect your brand?
There is a lot of noise in the market place. How do you stand out?

Whatever service you provide, there are lot of people who provide very similar services. What are your philosophies? What do you like and don’t like?
Personal branding is transparency. Because, what you sell might change, your career might change, your service might change. How many of you here have changed different careers in your life, if you have, please indicate for the benefit of others how many careers have you changed in your life?
Some of you were once career persons, but now into business, true? What you do might change, but your personal brand has to be consistent.

Ok, today we continue from where we stopped yesterday, which if I remember correctly we stopped at Strive to be best being number 3 step of How Can You Become A Brand?

How Can You Become A Brand?
We'll be starting number 4 today, if you missed yesterday's class simply go to my profile you'll find it there. After that you can come back and continue here. Let's jump right into it!

4) Reliability Is Key
A quick question how reliable are you?

Can people trust you? iPhone is iPhone in China, Russia, Nigeria, and every other part of the world. Can we entrust money into your hands and you keep it safe? Branding is more about creating trust.

What can people expect from you?
If you're a tailor and a customer gives you a job, can the customer trust you to deliver?
Will you do a carpenter work on your customers dress? lol. Certainly you've lost that customer and all the friends and family of that person.

Was the devil your problem? No! You gave your customer a bad experience which makes your brand now look wack.

Is your tomorrow, tomorrow? Not the one that when the person comes, excuses start arising concerning the cloth the person expected to be ready for an event. Do you think that person will trust you next time?

In Nigeria just being a tailor with integrity is enough to charge double of what your competitors charge. Integrity in the sense that if you tell your customers that the cloth we'd be ready in 3weeks, they don't need to start calling you through out that period you were expected to deliver.

5) Be Available
Are you come today, disappear tomorrow. Or whenever your customer need your service you're available?
The more your brand is seen the stronger it becomes! That one thing people don't know. The question is how can you build an online brand?

Personally, I don't think people in this part of the world take branding seriously. So, it's on probability if I'd hold a free class on branding or not.
Well if 30 persons here would join this group https:///GZLyipcaSxp1L8oMsEcZzU then we could kick off

If the link doesn't work inbox me on WhatsApp to add you http:///+2347037432078

We continue the topic tomorrow like I said
Career / Why Branding? by IfeanyiAkomas(m): 12:52pm On Aug 14, 2020
Today we'd be looking at Why Branding

First of all What Is A Brand?

A brand is a name, term, design, symbol or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers.

The things you do and don't do creates a branded you . Your beliefs, things you stand against and what you stand for, are all contributors to your brand

What Is The Purpose Of Branding

Brands are used in business, marketing, and advertising for recognition and, importantly, to create and store value as brand equity for the object identified, to the benefit of the brand's customers, its owners and shareholders. Name brands are sometimes distinguished from generic or store brands.

Now You May Ask Why Branding?

As you know if you're a brand you have a fair advantage over your competitors in the same market. This is why Apple can charge as far as 3 times the original price they manufacture their products

How Can You Become A Brand?

1) Pick the right career or business

Know that if you're not in the right career or business you have passion for it'd be almost impossible to become a brand in it.

Why is simply because, passion is the driving force that fuels you to pursue that thing you have passion for. Wrong career or business equal no

passion, no passion equals low excellence, low excellence equals poor brand. Note: A single unpleased customer can cost you 10 potential valuable

customers

2) Learn from other brands

This is very essential in the rule of branding, because the best way

to learn is through observation.

By observing how other brands do things, you learn things that aren't usually taught in the most expensive seminars. No brand will tell you their

deep secrets intentionally but if you closely watch them, you can grasp a little of that secret if you're attentive enough

3) Strive To Be The Best

Read books about your area of specialization. Know all you can about your field and do things differently.

Excellence is deterrent to race, religion, background, including tradition or what have you? I shared in my book "Advice From The Great", I

made mention of the fact that Adolf Hitler(of Nazi Germany) a strict racist congratulated Jesse Owen when he won four gold metals.

One thing you should note as a career person is that if you're excellent at what you do, even those that despise you will patronize you

This is just part 1 on branding tomorrow I'll take part 2

Literature / What A Life by IfeanyiAkomas(m): 2:08am On Aug 14, 2020
What A Life

A life full of wasted efforts
Individuals with unused gifts and
Great potentials untapped whom
Out of circumstances have abandoned all!
All that the creator deposited in them!

A life full of so much dispute in
Tradition, Culture, Religion, Race
Of which are of less relevance
In the whole essence of Human living
Leaving behind the purpose for which they're made

A life full of ill-knowledge leaders
Suppressing the outcry of the youth
Killing their youthful dreams and insight
Support the death of that much creativity
And innovative mindset they possess

A life full of selfish leaders
Watching out only for personal benefits
Of the national cake that should benefit all
Burying the voice of the poor, leaving the
Unborn generation without adequate guide

A life full of dead potentials
Of leaders who never lead
Of writers who never published
Of singers who never recorded
Of actors who were never featured
All because they waited patiently

Waited for the perfect opportunities
Oh! If I was given a government aid
I'd have started my company; they say
Oh! If I could publish my first book
I'd be a millionaire already

I cry! I cry in my heart...
If only someone opened up their eyes!
If only they were guided by past generations
If only they were informed that life isn't so!
If only they knew that little laying of
Blocks produced a skyscraper one at a time

If only we could stop waiting for
Perfect opportunities which doesn't come
Unrealistic expectations which doesn't get met
And we start with just one block with the
Skyscraper in mind till it hits the top!
Maybe life won't be so miserable after all!

Career / The Importance Of Curiosity In Business And Career by IfeanyiAkomas(m): 9:50pm On Aug 13, 2020
So, this is actually just an excerpt from the chapter Einstein: Genius Without Talent in my book "Advice From The Great"

Today I'll be sharing with you the importance of curiosity in business and career

The question is Why Should You Be Curious?

About 99% of successful individuals are people of curiosity that’s if not all. But certainly, the ones who aren’t curious will be replaced by new vibrant

and curious ones
. Because as you know this is a fast-changing world and must be accompanied with continuous learning and spontaneity.

Since you now know why you should be curious....

The next question is How Can You Be Curious?

The practical ways you can be curious is

1) Always ask questions

2) Always find out how things work, and how they were made

3) Be willing to add some new knowledge to the one you already have.

Only those who are passionately curious get great things out of life. If you’re reading this excerpt of the book, it simply means you’re curious about

how to grow in career and business to be the best and what to do to become a great person in that field. And I believe in my simple way, I’m giving

you value and sharing things I've learned throughout the course of my life

The beautiful thing about the 21st century is that you can learn about 80% of whatever you decide to learn with just a few clicks on your mobile

phone from the current position you are while reading this book.

People learn how to cook, produce music, make designs, engineer things, program a computer and more just on their mobile phones with the

help of a few videos and that’s it! No more stress like there was, in the absence of the internet and that’s one of the uniqueness of this age.

Everything has been made easy for everyone

If you want to read more about the book for FREE bit by bit, hit me up on WhatsApp http:///+2347037432078. I share things I learn about business and career regularly which

would help you too

Career / How To Be Great In Life, Career And Business by IfeanyiAkomas(m): 12:41am On Aug 11, 2020
Sometime last year(2019) I was thinking: "What can I do to make sure my generations get guidance on how to succeed and be great in whatever they wish to do in life, career and business-wise. So, I thought to myself, how about write a book that'd serve as a guide and help them in my absence. That thought gave birth to my book "Advice From The Great" which I released in the third quarter of the year 2020(August precisely). Just within the same week of its release, I started getting testimonies from those that read it. So I'm here to share with you for free some of the things in the book.

- Follow Your Heart
Regrets Of A 46-Year Old
I shared a story of a 46year old regretting why he didn't go after his passion and went into becoming the very opposite of all he ever fantasized about. this happens in today's world so much where people place so much value on going to school and not doing what they're called on earth to achieve. I've never seen anyone who becomes a great or a billionaire in the career he/she is not designed to do.

- Age is not a limit
6 Million At 13 years
I shared a story of a young boy of 13 years who made 6 million naira equivalent in Nigerian naira. When he was just 8 he wrote a book and from then he kept growing and today he owns a company. who said children are destined to only achieve certificates and not dare the impossible. Well that little mister just changed the status quo

- Develop yourself constantly
Hey Student, You're Scammed
In this particular chapter I made mention the reason why this century lack jobs unlike in the 1970 and the greatest thing one can do is to develop self far above the degree he/she had obtained

I won't be able to share an 111 pages , 27 chapters book on this platform that'd be absurd. And of course chapters like "Dangote Sold Candy Sweets", "Elon Musk Vs status Quo", "David Ibiyeomie Declines", and so many other interesting chapters. Just if you're interested and love the taste of greatness then its the right book for you. Reach out to me on WhatsApp http:///+2347037432078
