Christianity EtcRe: Help! I Can't Pray For A Long Period by Ifebazz(m): 10:23am On Mar 08, 2020
I believe that is natural. Those people shouting on top of their voices are merely displaying their Pharisees tendencies. Meanwhile, if you listen in, you'd discover that they're just repeating syllables. That's why my pastors encourage their members to speak in tongues, which is very much easier to repeat incoherent monosyllabic ramblings intermittently without appearing to have gone gagas. As a matter of fact, you should get distracted by the cacophony of noises around you not to be able to pray for more than one minute.
It's crazy how Nigerians modelled their praying pattern after brawling.
Just imagine going to ask your dad for school fees and you come shouting at the top of your voice, [My father my father! I said give me my school fees today! You must give it to me NOW!! By fire by force! ]
Just visualize that conversation with your dad and I bet you, you already know the outcome.
IntroVAT:
So, in church during the prayer session, and after the prayer topic has been introduced, I find I can't pray for more than 30 seconds, 1 minute tops.

After that, I have nothing else to say. Yet I see others praying until whoever is leading the session intervenes and introduces another prayer topic.

What exactly are they saying for that long or are they just repeating themselves. I can't speak in tongues too, so that doesn't help my cause.

I also cannot pray loudly, I always whisper under my breath even when the pastor says to shout at the top of our voices, because that's just how I am.

Do these things I mentioned n hinder prayers from being answered?

Thank you. You sound like an authority in this field. You're far too kind.
adanny01:
Like i said, you probably have a worn inner CV joint aka inner cup. Tell him you have vibration during acceleration and you suspect the inner cup. Make sure you are ready to replace when he inspects and find a bad one.

You should not point to either side as the culprit, inspect both and replace as your mechanic will guide you. The job entails removing both drive shafts.

The key thing here is that you make sure you replace the boots if bad and make sure they are well tied after the job.

One very important info, he should not pull out the inner cup from the gear box in less than 1hr after driving. It sounds like a myth but it does jinx the gear box. I wouldn't know for sure for a manual but its better to be safe than sorry.
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by Ifebazz(m): 5:55am On Mar 07, 2020
Thanks. I think I am having problem number one here. My Avensis is manual transmission though and as a matter of fact, I have never been to a mechanic since I acquired it so I am sort apprehensive as I don't want any trial and error job on the car. What exactly should I do or tell the mechanic I want done?
Thanks guys, your selfless jobs here is truly appreciated.

adanny01:
Note that there 3 types of vibration sources.

1. Vibration during acceleration (40-60kmph)
2. Vibration during braking (slowing down from speed above 60kmph)
3. Constant vibration at higher speed (80kmph and above)

The first one is usually a problem due to inner CVT joint.
The second is a bad rotor (brake disc).
The third, can be bad wheel balance, tire or rim. This can easily determined during rotary wheel balancing.

How ironic. But at least, it gives me a sense of pride that I didn't waste the monies spent on me while in Secondary School and makes me not make a fool of myself in public fora like this. What's worth doing, is worth doing well.

@ all these very stuppid people that will never amount to anything in there generation.. Will you all take your hopeless arguments and dissappear from these place?

I AM NOT TALKING TO ANYBODY IN PARTICULAR BUT TO YALL THAT HAVE BEEN VERY USELESS FROM PAGE ONE OF THIS THREAD TO THE CURRENT ONE.

These sets of Nairalanders are very stuppid and annoying. They will never open a thread or contribute to any business or sales.

But once a thread is opened on anything... Boom!

They come with fooolish arguments for knowledge supremacy battle.

One time, a repented cultist opened a thread on the ills of cultism and juju. That thread had over 500,000 views. Before you know it... Booom! The arguementators arrived to showcase there stuppid knowledge. They nearly killed that very sensitive thread that was saving lives and redeeming the condemned. What was there arguement? IF JUJU EXISTS OR NOT! Like what the hell? Was that the essence of that very beautiful thread?

I beg all of you doing this nonsense here to stop. Take your silly knowledge and arguements to a fresh thread opened by you. Nobody cares about your knowledge on anything. Like we really do not care! Yall are very annoying and people are just being quite. Go to car talk or Autos and kill yourselves there with fooolish banters that will not yield any cash.

This thread is for people buying cars less than 1.2 million. Make enquiries and leave. Call or chat amdman for a deal.

One will be surprised that while real buyers head to Whatsapp to do deals, broke ass raga muffins will be here destroying this beautiful thread.

You souls are annoying and will continue to be annoying.

Nice one, I was a victim of this.
They should rather sensitize the public on the benefits of blood donation instead of 'blackmailing' harpless young parents into donating blood when their minds and bodies are under stress.

Simple etiquettes of communication, "that's not exactly true" followed by reasonable or logical counter arguments.
You probably think I would condescend low enough to start trading the 'natural' Nairaland insults, sorry to burst your bubbles.
I see Acura MDX, Honda MRV and their various other models with K-leg. I am not an overzealous social media person to start taking pictures of other people's travails. If you don't believe me, at least have the simple courtesy of providing counter arguments instead of defamatory comments. I love Honda cars, K-leg or not if I see a good deal I would go for it. Thanks.

I honestly don't know where this cheating theory emanated from. Was it Man Utd paying Howard Webb again or something? VAR was there for all to see. Did Dave not push Williams (who 'could' have cleared the ball before the Zuma goal) or was Giroud not offside (albeit marginally) prior to his goal?
You guys need to sometimes, let logical reasoning take the place of sentiments. Just sometimes.

Someone has refuted this on twitter. Called the government 'Liars' as he said he'd driven round town but never saw any;thing like those purported Sokoto roads.
Serously, I am tempted to believe him as same was spread all over social media, of completed Railway lines transversing Agbor in Delta state. Blatant lies it turned out to be as I live in the said town then and just a few kilometers away from the Railway lines. These guys just manufacture pictures from outer space to bamboozle the gullible in the society.

Nigerians and morality.
It is only when it doesn't favour them that morality or equity pops up.
Once na their ethnic, party or religion they become Voltron (defender of the constitution).
Do the ones you can and leave the ones you couldn't can.
Life goes on, whether you whine from now till next year.
Right in your very nose, Miss President fly una jets to party, heavens did not fall till now.
One man who compared Super Eagles with football clubs became Minister of Youth and Sports, heavens did not fall.
One man who can lie for the entire galaxy is still the Minister of Information. Heaven hasn't fallen.
One man who said any serious government can give 24 hours light in six months became Minister of two fat portfolios. Heaven has not fallen.
All Security heads are from one region, heaven has not fallen neither will it fall.
The dude in question is one brilliant and internationally acclaimed fella who is worth his salt. He's dotted all his 'i's and crossed all his 't's.
I don't think he got there simply based on Emefiele's kinsmanship. Check his resume first, you'd be intimidated.
We should instead, be proud that a young man is breaking into that stratosphere where only elders used to hold forte.
Nigerians should learn to see things true and through and learn to choose fights.
