Something keeps confusing me with redmi Note 5 and redmi 6pro
From people's review, redmi 6 seems to be better overall
But when I objectively checked d spec
Redmi Note 5 has better processor, bigger screen(ie 5.9' compared to 5.84' in rn6 plus), better front camera.
Am I right pls?
No mind those reviews, note 5 is better. If u need anyone sha,... 070three1080two87

I tend to use 4 or more apps synchronously.
and, I came across a thread (My experience with xiaomi redmynote 5 by greenhulk),where he(and others)seem to complain about multitasking on MIUI among other things...

You lose data and information when an app is refreshed.e.g online survey progress would be lost once the survey app is refreshed.
That doesn't happen with miui sir. I lock my chrome, whatsapp, telegram and Jumia app, uc browser , they don't refresh as u think. Not like ur undergoing a survey and it'll refresh. That's a lie. The fact is all phones refresh apps, but u can be using 3 apps or more without refreshing. That's just it. If the app is so important to you, lock it. It won't refresh.

I'd like to get more info on multitasking on MIUI,heard the UI is harsh on multitasking(keeps refreshing apps involved when you switch between em).
P.S. I am about getting a Xiaomi note 7
The UI isn't harsh anything... Why on earth will you open 15 apps down? Even if it refreshes, i don't think there's anything bad about that
8f u want certain apps to never refresh, u can lock dem to the ram so it doesn't refresh when the system suspects idleness or overload in the ram.

thank God for your life, you see how you answered without any sarcastic undertone, some people here will load out all the sarcasm they were born with just to address one wrong post. If someone is wrong you correct him/her, there is no reason to be rude about it. Shey we are family, let's be like a family

And i was online all through via mobile data Airtel 4G not WiFI, but the Airtel 4G is dam fast

To me that's pretty cool, I'm still stretching the phone shall to see its limit.
Airtel... For me o and a whole lot who don use airtel... Asin bros, it's the fastest in town. Me i always get a new airtel sim after every 3 months... For double data o... cheesy. No loyalty to any network wen it comes to data o... grin

henry007:
So what you're saying in fact is that.

1. it's okay to be toxic when you disagree with a false statement
or
2. that you / your helpful friends are incapable of not being rude to Xiaomi users that aren't fans of Xiaomi because of their own experiences
or
3. that sharing bugs is something that doesn't fit into a general review or user experience of a Xiaomi device on this thread.

We have heard your side.
1...no its wrong, a polite answer does no harm.
2... I don't know about others but i do try to be not rude, but dat doesn't mean that I'm incapable of reacting negatively to dumb questions, or rude questions, but professionalism restricts us from being such. However two wrongs don't make a right. But no one should push it.
3....asking for more information ia different from shooting down the good works of the Xiaomi family. Sometimes some ppl whom i won't point fingers to, just to try to ridicule xiaomi. I think if there's any issues, when reported and then no solution in hand qualifies for a bug. For instance how can the data option be called bug? I mean who does that? The design of a rom cannot be regarded as a bug, it's either a design flaw or not... A system bug to me is an error. So yes sharing of bug reports is part of a user experience, and to me does fit into this thread. However trying to shoot down the good works of the Xiaomi family will bw met with fiull resistance of the Xiaomi family. It's only fair.

The different is good different in my opinion. MIUI 9 was not even as good looking to me. The UI doesn't have to look exactly like the iOS coz MIUI 9 recent apps ended up looking like a wacky version of IOS UI.

That default player selection that refused to remember settings may be a bug. Btw How come you watch your videos from file manager?
Because u can't satisfy all...
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Ifedith(m): 6:25pm On Jan 12, 2019
Gmajor:
Where do I start?
The recent apps menu is ugly
The data on button is buggy
You can't switch between sims to use data from the drop down menu (this option was not available in MIUI 9, but you would think that it would have been fixed with a new update.)
MIUI 10 still has a major security flaw like it's predecessors where you can on data, WiFi, hotspot and Co without even having to unlock the phone
The file manager now comes with a very dumb video player that persists after you set your desired video player as a default

More points loading
Recent app is subject to opinion... Me i see no evil
Data app is not buggy, there's nothing wrong with it.
MIUI 10 because of drop down menu accessibility from lock screen while is a security flaw, i think this has addressed 10.2 update.?
As for video player, go to settings and open installed apps. Click top right, ull see default apps, change to ur desired video player, viola
At the end, because u don't like certain things about miui doesn't make it buggy. For i hate stock Android, but doesn't mean that it's buggy.
MIUI 10 is bae

henry007:
These are just examples of major bugs people could get on some phones post/pre-update before they have to make a switch.
Maybe... I know iPhone, galaxy, Huawei or Xiaomi all have bugs... But the goodies outweighs the bugs, that's why they're the leaders in smartphone industry. Point is if these bugs exist as u say, it's a small few of which they try to fix the bugs with updates. Therefore the fact remains there'll always be bugs. It's impossible to have a bug free os. Apple started with charge gate, pixel with tons of bugs, oneplus with wifi bugs, galaxy with other bugs... Bugs is inevitable.

henry007:
True but having a few bugs don't mean it's buggy until it affects the daily running of your business /social life.

Something like restarting bug, whatsapp not delivering bug, camera error bug etc.

Some examples of major bugs.
Eya,... But I experience none of these bugs o...
As for restarting? How often?
Whataapp not delivering, try another network
Camera error, how often? And wats the error?

MIUI 10 is truly the worst

henry007:
More like they would fall if they keep releasing buggy MIUI updates on their older phones.

Obviously, the average person uses a phone for 1-2 years but with some updates, all it takes is one bug that would drive some people to either upgrade or try some other brand.
I don't know the phone on earth without bugs,... I guess they'll all fall... Wetin consign me sef... Wetin I know. Me flexing my redmi 5... cool
