Ochillary: for me enyeama didn't catch dat ball at all..How did you know that Enyeama did not catch the ball. Even the line's man is not in better position to know. The only sure way to see it is when you are along the goal line when ball was played and nobody was there even the cameras. So nobody is sure for both instances |
ifenadi: Ex-Senegal coach Metsu dieshttp://www.supersport.com/football/africa/news/131015/ExSenegal_coach_Metsu_dies |
Ex-Senegal coach Metsu dies 15 October 2013, 10:32 Tweet Former Senegal coach Bruno Metsu, who led the African country to the World Cup quarterfinals in 2002, has died aged 59, French media reported on Tuesday. Local newspaper La Voix du Nord, sports daily L'Equipe and France Football magazine reported that Metsu, who quit his coaching job at Dubai club Al Wasl last year to fight stomach cancer, passed away overnight at his Dunkirk home in northern France. The much-travelled Metsu, also known as "The White Sorcerer", also coached Guinea, Qatar, and several clubs in the Gulf region. However, the highlight of his career came at the 2002 World Cup when Senegal beat holders France in the opening game and went on to reach the last eight. That year, Senegal also reached the African Nations Cup final.

ifenadi: Perez reveals Bale’s actual pricehttp://www.supersport.com/football/spain/news/131015/Perez_reveals_Bales_actual_price |
Perez reveals Bale’s actual price Tue, 15 Oct | 07:10 Real Madrid's president on Tuesday revealed that Gareth Bale had cost €91 million, confirming the Welsh winger had been insured for the value of his transfer fee. Questioned on the Intereconomia television channel on whether Real's injured star is insured for €91 million in the event that he is forced to end his career, club president Florentino Perez replied: "Yes, sure". "It's a life insurance, against accidents. Bale is insured for the amount he cost," he added, making it clear that the insurance policy covers death and permanent invalidity. Neither Real Madrid nor Tottenham, Bale's former English Premier League club, had previously disclosed the price tag, which the British press had speculated at up to 101 million euros. The figure means that Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo remains the world's most expensive player, costing €94 million when he moved from Manchester United in 2009. Perez also denied a report in the Marca sports daily that Bale, who has only started one match since his August transfer due to a series of niggling injuries, had suffered a herniated disc. "They said it was a hernia, but it isn't. If he had one we would say so like usual," he said. "(Bale) hopes to be able to play on Saturday. His problem, as the whole world knows, is the lack of pre-season training, he suffered a thigh injury. "But now he's perfectly fine. I think he's training normally, hoping to play Saturday," added Perez. |
omotoda: How long have you been using the batteries? I they are over a year I suggest you just change all Four. You can however have them tested. But it is alwatys best practice to change all batteries once one is bad to prevent imbalance in ampere distribution. The batteries are just 4 months old |
idsolar: @ife analysis of d setup necessary. brand of inverter? d broken batr need change and others chkd. you cant connect 3batr setup lkly 48vThanks for your response. The inverter make is Epsilon. 3.5KVA. 48V The four batteries are connected in series, each 12V. I do not kno the 'ah' since it is not specified on it |
Wonderfull thread. I had a little issue. I use 3.5KVA with four batteries in my 3 bedroom flat. I barely use generator as we have over 12-hour electricity daily. I use only NEPA to charge my batteries. Recently I noticed that whenever i change to inverter it will trip off unless i reduce loads drastically. I then observed my batteries and i noticed that one of them is bad, It has a kind of a cut on top and it leaks acid little. MY QUESTION IS? 1.Can I disconnect the spoilt battery and connect only 3 batteries to the inverter(at the interim)? 2. Do i need to change the whole batteries or only the spoilt one? 3. What could be the cause of this anomaly? The batteriess are just about 3 months old(the seller advised me to buy used 'belgium' batteries that there are so many fake new batteries) |

3ace: First and foremost, this is not the first time ASUU will downtool. Hence, the producer could have been working on the film before this recent strike. Maybe they felt releasing the movie with the current event could capture the attention of the public into buying the CD. Secondly, let's assume that they did this movie within 3 months-i don't see anything bad or surprising in it as far as I'm concerned. Most Nigerian movies lack the display of stunts and difficult scenes that will consume time and resources unlike movies from foreign countries especially USA. Once the locations are within a state and all actors, actresses, equipments and cash are available, it shouldn't take them too long. Movie production can take too long only when there are complex scenes that require rehearsals in order to attain perfection.U just said my mind. A complex film takes years to produce whereas a simple and short film(like most of Nigerian home movies) takes few weeks to monts to produce. And what is wrong with a oge okoye's role? |

Africa's ineligible players worry Fifa Mustapha Fahmy © Backpagepix Fri, 20 Sep | 20:09 Fifa is concerned at the way a succession of African teams have broken rules on player eligibility in World Cup qualifiers and will address the problem, director of competitions Mustapha Fahmy said on Friday. Eight matches have been forfeited during the competition because one of the teams involved fielded a player who was ineligible either under nationality rules or through suspension. In each case, a 3-0 walkover was awarded to the offending team's opponents which in several cases had a significant affect on the outcome of the respective group. "We have noted with some concern what has happened with a number of teams falling foul to the rules of the competition, which are clearly spelt out," Fahmy told the Confederation of African Football (CAF) website (www.cafonline.com). "This only happened with one continent, Africa... others, like Europe, Asia or South America did not experience the same problems where disciplinary action had to be taken. "We need to look into what happened and work on finding solutions and ways to assist (so we can avoid) similar occurrences in future," added Fahmy, a former CAF secretary general. "We will come up with possible solutions and discuss them in our relevant courses with member associations. Fifa will aim to provide means and ways to help, so that we address something that obviously went wrong. "We are always looking to improve and provide better organisation for all our competitions." The most recent case cost Cape Verde a place in the final round of playoff matches which will determine Africa's five teams at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Cape Verde topped their group after winning 2-0 in Tunisia but were found to have fielded a player who should have been serving a four-match ban and were penalised with a 3-0 defeat. Tunisia, whose coach Nabil Maaloul resigned after the defeat, took their place and will face Cameroon over two legs with Dutchman Rudi Krol as their former coach. Cape Verde had themselves been on the other end of a similar case when they lost 4-3 to Equatorial Guinea, only to be given a 3-0 win because their opponents fell foul of the rules. |
JimloveTM: 1+1=2 in denaryWhat octal, hexadecimal, and so on? |
It is not always right to rush into a question that seems so simple. It is always advisable to read the question severally within few seconds and think before you answer. A simply question generally should have a simple answer, don't try to be over smart. When we look at the question again, it reads 1 +1 = ? . Justify your assertion (not assertions). This simply tells you that you can only support a single answer and you must give a reason for your answer. You don't need to give them several answers under several conditions. Whatever answer you give, give smart reason and be precise about it. This reminds me of a simple question pose to me by oga then, "how do you put an elephant in a fridge?" |
honeric01: Ok, let me make my points clear, maybe i wasn't clear enough.Any match between two countries pre -arranged by the two countries is an international friendly with or without Fifa/CAF consent be it u17, u20, u23, or no age limit. And mind you, I never said that tomorrow match is not an international friendly match. And there is nothing like main national team and home based national team. We have one national team called super eagle couched by Stephen Keshi. Majority of our super eagle first team players are based abroad no doubt, however we have a single national team, some play outside the continent whereas some play within Africa. According to CAF ONLY PLAYERS THAT PLAY PROFESSIONALLY IN AFRICA are ELLIGIBLE TO PLAY IN CHAN. That does not mean that automatically we have two super eagles. No, we still have one. Just that Stephen Keshi cannot invite players that play professionally outside Africa for any tournament under U CHAN otherwise Nigeria will be disqualified. If you say we have two super eagles, then which of them do Sunder MBA belong to? |
honeric01: Give us your own fact na, at least you're not fooling yourself, or are you?Let teach you in a lay man reasoning, England played their match against Moldova with entirely home based players, will you say that it is not England senior national team? FIFA ranking is based on performance of a national team on FIFA dates whether they are all home based or not. If Nigeria and B.Faso decides to play a match with home based players on advise from CAF on FIFA dates, will it count on FIFA Ranking? YES Then what is CHAN? A tournament for African countries organized by CAF for players that play professional football in Africa ONLY. It is not recognized by FIFA ie the tournament itself will not determine the performance of a country on FIFA ranking. However, if two African countries played a match(whether CHAN qualification, CHAN tournament or not) on a FIFA dates with entirely home based teams(with no age limits),it will count on FIFA ranking. Tomorrow is a FIFA date. So our match with B.fase will count on FIFA |
At the end of the epic final she won 7-5 6-7 6-1. Congrats Serena |
Fuelish: So what happens if Ghana beats Zambia and Nigeria draws or gets beaten by Malawi? How will the rankings look like?Nice question, oya answer nah |
But speculation suggests that his exit could pave the way for Real Madrid's Kaka to return to the San Siro. |
Ac Milan don fall my hand |
They are simply the best by a very margin, just that pple are becoming sentimental or are getting tired of hearing Ronaldo or messi's name. It suppose to be best player for the whole season not a better player for a particular march. |
MONACO -- Last season, Andres Iniesta won the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi looked on. The former looked grumpy (later there would be plenty of speculation in the Spanish media that he blamed his club for not "campaigning" on his behalf), the latter merely uncomfortable, staring down at his shoes with the sheepish grin of someone who would rather be anywhere else than decked out in a suit on the stage at Montecarlo’s Grimaldi Forum. Awards are only as significant as the folks who choose the winners, the criteria laid out by the organizers and how closely the electorate follows those criteria. Relative to the 500-plus who pick the FIFA Ballon d’Or winner, the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award has a smallish pool of voters: 53 journalists, one from each UEFA member nation. (Yes, even Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein; no the Vatican is not a UEFA member.) Unlike the Ballon d’Or -- whose criteria are deliberately fuzzy and is based on a calendar year -- UEFA’s award has defined criteria: it goes to the "best player" in Europe during the 2012-13 season. And, unlike the Ballon d’Or, it’s basically a two-round vote. Jurors vote for their top three picks, who receive points based on a 5-3-1 system. The top three vote-getters then go on a shortlist and, on the day of the award, the 53 jurors vote for one guy each. In practical terms, it’s arguably a fairer system. The "problem" is that sportswriters don’t like to follow the rules or, in this case, the criteria. You may feel that Franck Ribery was the most valuable player in Europe last season, that without him Bayern would never have won their Treble. Or you may feel that it’s only right to pick a guy from a team that won important silverware. Or you may just be tired by the hype machine that follows Ronaldo and Messi around everywhere they go, and yearn for a change. That’s all great. Those are all fine reasons to vote for somebody. But if you observe the criteria, you should only consider one thing: who was the best in 2012-13. Was it the guy who finished second in his domestic league and cup and took his team to the semi-finals of the Champions League, scoring 55 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions? Or perhaps it was the guy who helped his team win the league with a record-equalling number of points, also took his side to the semis in Europe’s biggest cup competition and notched an outrageous 60 goals in 49e games? For a plurality of the folks on the jury, the answer was "no". The answer was neither Ronaldo nor Messi. It was Ribery. There isn’t much point in reducing it to numbers, because his contribution goes beyond goals (but then, to be fair, so does Messi’s and Ronaldo’s), but if you want to go there, Ribery scored 11 goals last season while playing in 42 games. What Ribery did was play exceptionally well in key games last season, particularly in the Champions League knockout round. But you can make an argument that, last year, the contributions of Phillip Lahm, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben (certainly in the final) were also critical to Bayern’s success. In some ways, we already saw this thinking last season, when Iniesta won it ahead of Messi and Ronaldo. Iniesta won the same silverware Messi did with Barcelona, but, on top of that, he was instrumental to Spain winning the Euros. Great season, reward for achievement. But nobody outside of his immediate family would suggest Iniesta was a "better player" than Ronaldo or Messi in 2011-12 which rather precludes him being "the best". Is it just semantics? Sure, maybe. But words do matter. Call it "Player of the Year". Or "Most Valuable Player". Or "Player-other-than-Lionel-or-Cristiano-who-we-want-to-recognize-otherwise-those-guys-will-win-every-award-between-them." Just don’t call it "Best Player in Europe in 2012-13". Because, simply put, he wasn’t. It’s not a knock on Ribery, it’s a knock on the award and those voting for it. What’s happening here is that we’ve taken the brilliance those two guys have displayed over the past few seasons and turned it into some kind of normality. Well, it’s not normal. This isn’t like when baseball moved out of the dead ball era and everybody started hitting home runs. The total number of goals being scored has remained constant. It’s just these two guys -- and these two guys alone -- who have started scoring in industrial quantities and doing it for years at a time. Ribery is an exceptional footballer on an outstanding team that deservedly broke records last year, losing just three games in all competitions. But it takes some mental acrobatics to say he’s the "best player" in Europe. what is your thought? |
Ronaldo did not even attend the occasion, he already know that he didn't merit this one so he opted out. |
Frank Ribery win UEFA player of the year over messi and c.ronoldo after helping bayern munich win treble last season.Do you think he deserved it |
