Enigma: ^ It is not even correct to say that the Roman Catholics "compiled" the Bible as my posts above have argued; it is neither correct to say that the first Bible had 73 books. It is in fact a lie.Bros you expected a living soul to read all those jagons you downloaded from goggle. It is people like you that wrote those things and you copied them here and expected us to believe. Can u go further and prove every detail you posted beyond any reasonable doubt. |

You guys are gettin all wrong. Finger print is not going to replace 'ATM' cards rather it is going to be a second authentication in a bank for every cash withdrawal either from ATM or across the counter. In the case of ATM ,after inserting your card and entering Card's pin, you will be required to authenticate the transaction further with finger print which will confirm that you are the owner of the account, before the machine will allow you to withdraw. Likewise if you want to withdraw accross the counter, you will also be required to further identify yourself with your finger print. It is not a replacement to ATM cards rather an additional security to it |
chukwudi44: Freeglobe please speak for yourself.who told you obi has been bribing catholic bishops? Obi never campaigned there BTW the catholic church is no longer in CAN and Bishop Chukwuma is only speaking for protestants who only make just about 30% of the state population. You lied when you said that you are not interested in who wins as far as APC didn't win . We all know that the race is between APGA and APC. So if you don't want APC to win you clearly want APGA to win. |
Anambra is my state and I am so worried the way things are turning out. Can someone explain this to me; 1. Did the priest invited the party chairman and the APGA candidate too? 2. Why was peter Obi invited to the adoration? Were every other worshippers invited too? 3.Why did the priest rejected the money the governor donated to him and his ministry? 4. I had that peter Obi did not campaigned at the venue, what did he actually said apart from the 2m naira donation? 5. Why are peter Obi and Ngige always at political war? May God help us. |
ngoziama: I have patiently followed events that have unfolded in my state, Anambra. I marvel and get saddened over what the politicians have turned that state into. A state blessed with human and natural resources yet we have remained so backward in terms of development. It is true that debates have been held for the various guber aspirants but I still remain sad because of the shoddy manner that produced these so called candidates.Below is my candid analysis of the various political parties.I welcome hugs, slaps and insults from the readers; You expected a living soul to read all these jagons. Make your points simple and direct |
Is Peter contesting for 3rd tenure? Comments on this threads is just like it is peter Obi vs Ngige. Mentioning peter Obi's name more often makes Obiano unpopular . Those that are campaigning for APGA should tell us why we should vote for Obiano and not what Peter Obi has achieved. But personally I will definitely vote for Ngige, even though peter Obi is presently constructing a road that pass through my family house in the village. |
Bulldog: maths improve ones logic... Just sayingOk I see your points. Thanks and bye |
Bulldog: i respect your conviction but the bad thing about trusting ngige, ask eselu about his experienceThat is the more reason I trust him; he is the man of the people and not the other way round. I vote for personality and not party, I would have voted for Soludo if he had scaled thru. I don't know much about obiano and what he can do, he looks like someone that will take instructions from Godfather and I don't want any God fatherism in Anambra state again. Peter Obi does not have Godfather and that is why he achieved little he did without any form of interference from anybody. Almost all politicians are thieves and they become worse thieves when they have godfathers. Ifeanyi Uba might even do better than Obiano if he wins. if it is possible to vote for 2 people, I will vote for ngige twice |
I am from Anambra state, I live in Anambra state. I will vote for a tested and trusted NGIGE. He is the best of them all. |
The article below was written after European football of the year was given to Ribery. I think the article explain some of your sentiments about Messi and Ronaldo. They still remain the best. Read on MONACO -- Last season, Andres Iniesta won the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi looked on. The former looked grumpy (later there would be plenty of speculation in the Spanish media that he blamed his club for not "campaigning" on his behalf), the latter merely uncomfortable, staring down at his shoes with the sheepish grin of someone who would rather be anywhere else than decked out in a suit on the stage at Montecarlo’s Grimaldi Forum. Awards are only as significant as the folks who choose the winners, the criteria laid out by the organizers and how closely the electorate follows those criteria. Relative to the 500-plus who pick the FIFA Ballon d’Or winner, the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award has a smallish pool of voters: 53 journalists, one from each UEFA member nation. (Yes, even Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein; no the Vatican is not a UEFA member.) Unlike the Ballon d’Or -- whose criteria are deliberately fuzzy and is based on a calendar year -- UEFA’s award has defined criteria: it goes to the "best player" in Europe during the 2012-13 season. And, unlike the Ballon d’Or, it’s basically a two-round vote. Jurors vote for their top three picks, who receive points based on a 5-3-1 system. The top three vote-getters then go on a shortlist and, on the day of the award, the 53 jurors vote for one guy each. In practical terms, it’s arguably a fairer system. The "problem" is that sportswriters don’t like to follow the rules or, in this case, the criteria. You may feel that Franck Ribery was the most valuable player in Europe last season, that without him Bayern would never have won their Treble. Or you may feel that it’s only right to pick a guy from a team that won important silverware. Or you may just be tired by the hype machine that follows Ronaldo and Messi around everywhere they go, and yearn for a change. That’s all great. Those are all fine reasons to vote for somebody. But if you observe the criteria, you should only consider one thing: who was the best in 2012-13. Was it the guy who finished second in his domestic league and cup and took his team to the semi-finals of the Champions League, scoring 55 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions? Or perhaps it was the guy who helped his team win the league with a record-equalling number of points, also took his side to the semis in Europe’s biggest cup competition and notched an outrageous 60 goals in 49e games? For a plurality of the folks on the jury, the answer was "no". The answer was neither Ronaldo nor Messi. It was Ribery. There isn’t much point in reducing it to numbers, because his contribution goes beyond goals (but then, to be fair, so does Messi’s and Ronaldo’s), but if you want to go there, Ribery scored 11 goals last season while playing in 42 games. What Ribery did was play exceptionally well in key games last season, particularly in the Champions League knockout round. But you can make an argument that, last year, the contributions of Phillip Lahm, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben (certainly in the final) were also critical to Bayern’s success. In some ways, we already saw this thinking last season, when Iniesta won it ahead of Messi and Ronaldo. Iniesta won the same silverware Messi did with Barcelona, but, on top of that, he was instrumental to Spain winning the Euros. Great season, reward for achievement. But nobody outside of his immediate family would suggest Iniesta was a "better player" than Ronaldo or Messi in 2011-12 which rather precludes him being "the best". Is it just semantics? Sure, maybe. But words do matter. Call it "Player of the Year". Or "Most Valuable Player". Or "Player-other-than-Lionel-or-Cristiano-who-we-want-to-recognize-otherwise-those-guys-will-win-every-award-between-them." Just don’t call it "Best Player in Europe in 2012-13". Because, simply put, he wasn’t. It’s not a knock on Ribery, it’s a knock on the award and those voting for it. What’s happening here is that we’ve taken the brilliance those two guys have displayed over the past few seasons and turned it into some kind of normality. Well, it’s not normal. This isn’t like when baseball moved out of the dead ball era and everybody started hitting home runs. The total number of goals being scored has remained constant. It’s just these two guys -- and these two guys alone -- who have started scoring in industrial quantities and doing it for years at a time. Ribery is an exceptional footballer on an outstanding team that deservedly broke records last year, losing just three games in all competitions. But it takes some mental acrobatics to say he’s the "best player" in Europe. what is your thought? |
my ipad just fell and has some part of the screen cracked. it still works perfectly but does not look good again. Please where can i have the screen changed and how much?. I live in Asaba |
Briareos: They are trying to remain religiously neutral. You will be surprised, but a lot of people perceived mentioning "Jesus" and "God" as "forcing religion (Christianity) down their throats.well said |
Youngsage: Most ceilings are painted white because of their reflective qualities, making a roomyou are making sense |
Harwo: White colour repels heat the most, while black colour absorbs heat the most. With white colour, u can keep ur room relatively cool even when the Sun is spitting fire. Why do people in hot Asian countries countries like Saudi, UAE wear white maaterials? Do uthink it is for fun? Nope!!!!!!........Simple science.I know that white colour reflects heat the most while black color absorbs most of the heat. If that is the case then it will not be entirely advisable to paint the ceiling white in tropical region like africa where our temperature is always high as most of the heat generated within the room will be reflected back to the room by the white celing. It will be ok to do that in temperate region like europe but not in africa. Thus, i do not agree with the bolded |
Chuksemi: Would you rather have your ceiling painted black? No my dear, i just want know why it is most times painted white |
0monnakoda: What insult? That you should be quiet? You must be a very SENSITIVE BOY?.There is no machine to measure quality and the only objective way is to give everyone an equal chance and then we can start talking quality. Right from the first day Africans entered the competition they have been given minority slots based on the ASSUMPTION European teams have greater quality when in reality the European teams have GREATER NUMBERS. In fact Since 1958 for the first time in 2010 the Europeans won the competition back to back . The performance of Europe is NOT better than South America but they have many more slots than South America . What is that about?. I am not interested in betting or hypotheses . Let us give everyone an equal chance and see what happens. The better performance of European teams is because they have more slots. Africa as a continent will have a better chance if they have 10 teams than when they have 5You are so on point |
My daughter is still in KG 2 and just like her father she asks a lot of questions. I always try as much as I could to give her correct answers to most of her puzzles. Recently she started asking some difficult questions and I was wondering if she is still just 3 years old. Today as she was playing with her twin brother, she asked, 'daddy, why is it that top wall of our house is painted white in all the rooms while the side walls has different colors". I thought about the question and told her we just want to use white color. She continued, "our neighbors' house, their ceiling is white color too, even grand mama house in the village is the same thing". I responded again, "maybe they like white color too. And I was allowed to rest. But deep within me I know the answer I gave was wrong. I thought about this for some minutes and I can't conjure the correct answer and I really intend to give my daughter the correct answer once I find it. So I am asking you guys now, Why is it that the top/ceiling of a house is always painted white? |
I do watch movies a lot, both foreign and local films especially on DSTV and I have noticed that they are very good at censoring some strong words used in a movie. I understand their reason vividly, but what I don't understand is when they censor some biblical words like God, Jesus and so on even when they are used in a good context. Can someone let me know? |
It is either catholic or noting. |

uboma: There is no limit to prayers bro. Pray incessantly whether on Sunday or other days.Yeah pray without season. I think that is the right thing to do . |
I was raised in a very decent home and I grew up learning how to prayer every morning and evening on daily basis from my parents. However my parent don't prayer on Sunday morning before attending church services.I don't know their reason for that; all I know is that once we wake up we will start preparing to attend 6:00am mass ignoring every other thing. I learnt that too until I got married and my wife will always insists we pray everyday including on Sunday morning. Recently I visited a friend who is a pastor and I spent some days in his house. I noticed that he prays every morning and evening in his house apart from Sunday morning. When I tried to find out from him, he said he is always in a haste on Sunday morning and he can't afford not to be in church on time, that he prays whenever he gets to church. This left me to wonder, why do most people don't pray on Sunday morning ? Is morning prayer at home before church services on Sunday important? |
doctokwus: Op u spoilt this ur narrative wen u withheld d name(s) of d fuel stations.Whc kind of cowardice is dat,u claim u were cheated by an organisation, but still scared to mention d name& u expect things to change!I don't understand this kind of reasoning o.Sorry . The name of the filling station is actually NIPCO. It is located alone DBS road, Asaba. I have witness this also at OANDO and Mobil all in Asaba |

Billyonaire: Just pay with your ATM Card, that way, they wont get 1 naira of your money, their loot will go to the management. Most of the pumps in Naija are not card ready! |
Just wondering the role of police officers at various check points along Nigerian roads.Apart from police we have other force men along the roads and thief role are very clear to me: CUSTOM OFFICERS They will ask you of your custom papers only. Once they are satisfied with the documentation they will let you go ROAD SAFETY They are simply interested if you are wearing your seat belt and that you are not over speeding, over loaded or driving dangerously. If they stopped you, they will simply check if you have a valid drivers license, if you have good spare tyre, fire extinguisher and caution signs. They might go further to check if your travel gator and break lights are working properly. SOLDIER(MILITARY MEN) If they stop you, they will just check if you there so many male occupant in the vehicle. If that is the case, they will ask everybody to come down while they search each person for any incriminating items or arms. They might go further to search the vehicle buts, pigeon hole, under the seats and so on. AGBERO You will see these guys mainly in commercial cities. They are just after public vehicles. Once they stopped you, they will check if you have purchased their tickets and once you are cleared you are good to go. POLICE. They perform virtually all the role explained above and that is what I don't seem to understand. A police officer will stop you, search your buts, search all the occupant of the vehicle, search the pigeon hole. Request for your drivers license, your vehicle particulars and some cases custom papers. Ask you to open your bonnet, check your engine and engine number, check your chassis number for correctness. Check if you have fire extinguisher and have a spare tyre. If you are not on seat belt, you will be booked too. And so on and so on. You can add yours |
We all know their old trick where they will not reset the meter to start from zero when they want to sell petrol to you. Their new method is what baffled me and this is rampant in Asaba area. The first time it happened to me, I thought it was actually a mistake as claimed by the attendant until It repeated several times. I visited a filling station in Asaba(name withheld) and there were two persons serving at the pump. The first person asked me, "how much do you want to buy" and I hold her 5 thousand naira. The 2nd guy proceeded to fill my tank resetting the meter to zero and not bothering to confirm the price I want to buy from the lady or me.To my surprise this guy stopped at 1000 naira and when I asked him why he stopped he said he thought I said I wanted to buy 1000 naira( I wondered where he got that message from cus he did not ask me or the lady whom I told I want to buy 5000k). He then pressed some buttons at the meter as if he wanted to reset the meter to zero, meanwhile the thing still reads 1000 naira before he proceeded(if you do not look well you not see the 1 in front of the zeros). Again at 4000 naira He stopped . I now shouted , bros I told you I wanted to buy 5000 naira. He said that if I add the 4k to 1k he gave me initially that it will be 5k. I was confused but when I insisted that he didn't reset the meter. He quietly completed the remaining 1k. This happened again in the same filling station and that was when I realized it was their game. I decided to change filling station and to my greatest surprise they use the same trick in Asaba and so many people are falling victims especially those that do not like to come down from their car while buying fuel. |
Wondering why it took them so long to announce the actual price |
obi4eze: Chaiii!!! He was one of Africa's best foreign coaches. Just wondering where he is now.He is in Heaven |
phil5: Truth be told I watched that thing pass 5 times and am convinced that he caught the ball immediately after the line,or on the line narrowlyWhen you watched it 5 times, did you see the ball across the line 5 times. I watched it more than 10 times and I see nothing. Different tv replays could not ascertain whether they are goals or not. Even the linesman that waved his flag for the given goal was not along the goal line to be sure, so I wonder how he saw it. Nobody is too sure my dear. Ethiopia should learn how to hit the ball on the net until they have a goal line technology. |
