Really! Bayelsa for that matter? Politicians would rather cut part of their own national cake rather than being realistic . Let the best candidate win. Sounds funny to me. |
This episode looks at the evolution of Nigerian football and the Nigerian national football team since its formation in 1949 as UK tourists, then bearing the Red Devils just before independence in 1960, then Green Eagles after independence before finally becoming the Super Eagles in 1988. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNRzzdlL6LE

LAS PALMAS (Reuters) -Two of three stowaways who were rescued in Spain's Canary Islands after enduring 11 days on the rudder of a fuel tanker from Nigeria have been returned to the ship with the aim of deporting them. The third person, who suffered hypothermia and dehydration during the voyage, has not yet been released from hospital on Gran Canaria, a local government spokesperson said.Under Spanish law, any stowaway who does not seek asylum must be returned by the operator of the ship to the port where the journey originated, a police spokesman told Reuters. In a photograph on Twitter by the Spanish coast guard on Monday, the three stowaways are shown hunkered on the rudder under the hull, just above the waterline of the Alithini II. The 183-metre ship, sailing under a Maltese flag, arrived in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria after setting out from Lagos in Nigeria on Nov. 17 and navigating up the West African coast, according to Marine Traffic. The ship's captain confirmed to the Red Cross that it had sailed from Nigeria 11 days earlier. A Canary Islands police spokesperson said it was up to the ship's operator to take care of the stowaways, provide them with temporary accommodation and return them to their origin as soon as possible. The migrants should, at the least, have been informed of their right to ask for political asylum and should have been questioned before being returned to the ship, said Helena Maleno, director of the migration non-governmental organisation, Walking Borders."The conditions of the journey are already an indication that something very serious may be behind it because the photos are incredible. We have never seen conditions like this where they have arrived alive," Maleno said. She added: "These people have to be in a state of shock. They need a couple of days to recover and from there they can explain what they were running from to have made that decision." Alithini II, owned by Gardenia Shiptrade SA, is managed by Athens-based Astra Ship Management, according to public shipping database Equasis. Astra Ship Management did not respond to multiple calls from Reuters seeking comment. The Spanish government's representative on the Canary Islands didn't immediately respond to a query on whether the migrants should have been informed of their rights The coast guard said the migrants were rescued by a coast guard vessel at about 7 p.m. local time (1900 GMT) on Monday. The stowaways were treated for moderate dehydration and hypothermia, the Canary Islands emergency services and the Red Cross said. The third migrant, who was in a more serious state, had to be taken to a different hospital on the island. The Spanish-owned Canary Islands are a popular but dangerous gateway for African migrants attempting to reach Europe. Since 2014, 2,976 migrants have died or are missing after attempting to cross from Africa to the archipelago by sea, according to the International Organization for Migration. YinkaOlusesi16:With high cholesterol, you can develop fatty deposits in your blood vessels. Eventually, these deposits grow, making it difficult for enough blood to flow through your arteries. Sometimes, those deposits can break suddenly and form a clot that causes a heart attack or stroke. Run away from food that contains high cholesterol . 10 years from this time , come and give testimony here. |

I know you are doubting the possibility of a student getting paid a sum because of an industrial action, but let me shock you, as it shocked me too, it is possible. Let me give you the deets. Earlier this year, my university lecturers went on strike as a means to protest for some demanding benefits. Following the industrial action, the University decided to compensate the students by investing the pay forgone by lecturers into a Learning Opportunity Fund. The Fund was basically to support students who were impacted by the strike action in a way that students could claim the Funds and use it to take short courses online, attend conferences, and other learning opportunities. Well, I got 300 pounds from a 2 weeks strike my people. The same me that ASUU strike took 2 good years from, 4-year course turned eternity, without any form of compensation, not even 1 naira, got 300 pounds from a 2 weeks strike; as it should be when students are impacted by industrial actions. We all know that while industrial actions are due right of lecturers to make their grudges known, it is the students that have a whole life ahead of them that get affected. We all know that the ground in these two elephants' fight is the students. Students lose their time and plans to industrial action. For almost 6 months, Nigerian University students have been at home and cannot forge their life because the government and lecturers are holding them to ransom. For 6 good months, thousands of students, the leaders of tomorrow are sitting right at home and the Government care less. Election campaigns are in full gear, promising us what you are already NOT giving us. I don't even know how this makes sense. Dear Nigerian Government, education is essential to the growth of the country and you should not kill it. #EndASUUstrikenow Dear Nigerian government and Nigerian Universities, how do you plan to compensate the students for this time loss and opportunity loss? How? All I have to say is GET YOUR PVC AND VOTE WISELY.https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6975552832271720448/

Magnoliaa:It is believed that this curse started when a female warrior conquered this kingdom many years ago. The name of this warrior was Princess Magajiya Maimuna.Ancient curse keeps males off the throne, according to locals. |
Did you know that according to an ancient curse, the Kingdom of Kumbwada in Northern Nigeria can only be ruled by a woman? Kumbwada is an ancient kingdom in the northern part of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a population of about 33,000 people. The town is located in Niger State. Most of the people of Kumbwada are farmers. According to locals, the curse keeps men off the throne. Any man who tries to rule this kingdom will be dead within a week. The kingdom has been ruled by women since its conquest by Princess Magajiya Maimuna of Zaria, who ruled Kumbwada for 83 years. Kumbwada has been ruled by women for at least six successive generations. The kingdom is currently being ruled by Queen Hajiya Haidzatu Ahmed. Her grandmother, on the throne for 73 years, died when she was 113. The last man who attempted to overturn the tradition of female rulers was the queen’s father, Prince Amadu Kumbwada. Hajiya was still a child when her father tried and failed to become his mother’s successor. According to Hajiya, she said that after her father disclosed his intentions to be the king, he suddenly fell ill and was rushed to another kingdom where he got better. He, however, never returned to Kumbwada. Over the years, scores of reports have highlighted the plight of women in Nigeria’s northern Muslim States and Sharia law. But in Kumbwada, Ahmed has made efforts to reverse the situation as she believes that every girl child should be educated, and is against domestic violence. The fact that a woman is the Ruler of the Kumbwada Kingdom is also considered an anomaly in Northern Nigeria where men are considered natural rulers. The residents, however, do not complain and bear her true allegiance judging by the way they adore her. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nationaldailyng.com/the-kingdom-in-northern-nigeria-that-can-only-be-ruled-by-a-woman/%3famp=1

Protests against the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress thickened on Friday with over 200 youths and supporters from the North-Central zone demanding a reversal of the decision. They called on the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to drop a former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate. The demonstrators, under the aegis of the North Central Progressives Youths, began the protest at the Unity Fountain and it culminated at the Presidential Villa. While chanting solidarity songs, the youth from the six North-Central states and the Federal Capital Territory held banners with inscriptions such as, ‘APC presidential ticket must be for all faith’, ‘Shettima must go now, all Christians say no to Islamisation of APC presidential ticket’, ‘Tinubu and Shettima must do the needful, it is our constitutional right’, and ‘Don’t destroy the unity of Nigeria’, among others. The President of the NCPY, Musa Attah, who described Tinubu as a “man loved and adored by Nigerians,” added that his only obstacle to getting victory in the 2023 presidential election would be his running mate. He called on the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to prevail on Tinubu to replace Shettima with a Christian for the good of the party and Nigeria. According to him, since the President has etched his name in history due to achievements in infrastructure, anti-corruption and good governance, Buhari must protect his legacies by working towards a worthy successor who can consolidate his gains. Attah said, “Mr President, on numerous occasions you have promised to bequeath a democratic system imbued with workable institutional structures that will stand the test of time. True to your word, the nation’s electoral system has been revolutionised. “Your footprints will never be forgotten in the area of infrastructure. The fact that there’s still a country called Nigeria is due to your resilience despite the mirage of security challenges. We are also coping with the global economic crisis. Meanwhile, the trial of the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation and many others has proven your zero tolerance for corruption. There are no sacred cows.” https://punchng.com/replace-shettima-with-christian-apc-youths-tell-tinubu

Lol.... There's one thing some people don't really know about SE. They are all PDP supporters. . But to be 100% sincere with you, all those people that voted PDP at Gubernatorial or Senatorial level will definitely vote Obi for Presidency. Even as am typing this, everyone is voting for PDP in my side in Enugu North but the bitter truth is that non will vote for Presidency. SE orientation is quite different from other state political background. I will personally vote for PDP at State level but at Presidency Labour Party. I'm telling you from experience down here in Enugu. One of the councilors mentioned above here is my closest friend and nothing like any of our constituency supporting another party for Presidency. I come in peace. OEPHIUS: |

Business3600:Which receipt again in the General hospital? I check my status every 6 months but result is usually given to people individually. The girl is right |
If you're a victim or somehow related to those affected in this current administration, I must boldly encourage you to have a rethink. It's only this administration that took over 9 months before appointing cabinet members. It's also this administration that single handedly concentrated at least 80% of lucrative major appointments to the North. Even when it's obvious that Yoruba nation contributed immensely to the emergent of current administration. The Yoruba statemen questioned the rationale behind such lopsided appointment considering federal character principle but it's buried on a deaf mind. During 2015 pre - election campaign, we're convinced that APC administration was gonna liberate every Nigeria from the abject poverty considering the economic status quo. We're meant to agree to give them a try. Nigerians were astonished after the current administration decided to bury previous foundation laid by previous government by erroneously promising a holistic paradigm shift. What happened to almost concluded CONFAB initiated by the previous administration? Have they built the refineries as promised? What happened to subsidy which formed major campaign promise? How could a whole seating President address youth as Lazy? For benefit of doubt, do you know that Nigeria youths comprises over 57% of total registered voters ? Do you know we have power to determine who comes into power comes 2023? Nigeria youths, where is your conscience? Do you know that 8 out of every 10 Nigeria youths are jobles ? Very many numbers of these youths are academically qualified but they have accepted the condition placed on them by the cabals. I cried so much during End SARS period and witnessed how youths were massacred helplessly. Do you know that average politician doesn't have a single value to life of citizens who comes their way especially when it comes to accomplishing their sardonic quest ? Do you agree that millions of Nigeria graduates are still earning below 30k monthly after spending whooping millions of naira and dollars acquiring those knowledge? Who could have believe that End SARS protest that started peacefully would have been brought to an abysmal end by some miscreant politicians . We're told now that the same party is gonna be featuring two Muslim contestant which could have great negative effect on Christians active participation. On this note, am challenging our youth to come out en mass to vote candidates that have genuine intention for total liberation of suffering of the country. Cash voting should be totally frowned at. We can't continue to be future leader everyday when apparatus of the state are been sacrificed on the altar of geruntocracy. Let's our choice be devoid of any tribal sentiment . Vote wisely !!! Vote with conscience !!! Nigeria is gonna be great.
