Hello everyone, please I need an urgent advice my brother applied for a UK visa to go write the 2nd stage of an exam in the UK, he wrote the 1st stage here in naija. He got his passport today and was given 6weeks visa, despite applying for a 6month visa
The problem is the 6weeks visa ll expire 2wks b4 his schedule exam date which is march 29th, he was supposed to receive a 6weeks tutorial b4 the exam. Please what can be done to rectify this, he paid fees for tutorial and exam already and he included the prove of payments in his visa application @justwise, @vicjustice @vcole and all the gurus please I need an urgent response. This government is economically clueless. Worse of all, they hate sincere critics. 2015 was a lost year economically and 2016 may be worse if something is not urgently done. One would have expected after the lost 2015 that the government will begin 2016 on a high note to get things going but all we hear is a continuation of blaming Jonathan for everything or waiting endlessly for the budget that was badly put together in the first place.
Nigerians are getting tired with the many failed promises. The tones are getting discordant. The resistance to the power hike tariff with no improvements in supply is about to demystify this government. Nigerians are very bottled up and something needs to be done. Buhari to me has spent more time debranding Nigeria around the world calling us criminals than building the economy. I truly pray that his few days of holiday will be used to reflect on the plight of the Nigerian masses.
The fight against corruption should go on without disrupting prompt salary payment, maintenance of our high ways, construction of new ones if need be and various agricultural programs which we trust will help the country from its over dependence on oil. The dry season farmers have cried out all their tears without government response, the wet farming season is by the corner and nothing is in place to encourage the farmers. All we hear is big English and blame of past government. Nigerians are getting to the boiling point.

Hi ifyalways, sorry to bother you but it appears you are quite familiar with Ikota and environs and I hope you wouldn't mind me asking a few questions.

A friend of mine is prospecting a property around the Ikota axis, Lekki county to be precise but what got us worried was being told the property was very close to a large body of water- I'm guessing the Ikota river? Is it a canal? Or part of the Lagos Lagoon?

This is what I'd like to know. Is lekki county& other estates within its vicinity flood prone like friends colony? Are the houses there being built on a flood plain seeing as they're close to a river? Or is the area okay with well planned drainages? Please reply& thanks in anticipation.

My friend is 37 yrs old, his father died in the 80's, I am talking of his STEP father, The man who re-married his mother in the UK. Would like to know if his STEP father needs to include a letter with the document to be sent my friend which will signify that he is aware that my friend who is a STEP son is coming to visit his mother.

There are no hidden stories about my account. There's just not been a lot of money in it (for a trip) simply because I am being owed some months' salaries. My payslip from work and my bank statement attest to that fact..
Now, my cousin is sponsoring me for this trip by supplying the money needed and he intends to transfer it into my account.
I understand I need to show I can afford the trip by my bank balance.
Do I need a letter from him for the ECO explaining this?

I hail all my bosses on here ooo, been a quiet reader all these while cos i've got no case to present, but would need ur attention on my friends issue.

His mother remarried another man after the demise of my friend's father and she relocated to the UK in 1986 and today she's also a british Citizen by marriage.

Being the First Son, My friend's mum wants him to visit the UK during his annual leave therefore I advised him to request for the following docs -
1. Invitation letter and her ppt biodata page
2.Her bank staty and payslip
3. Utility bill
4 letter from her work place
5. His father's death certificate

But would like to know if my friends step father needs to write any letter to show that he is aware of his wife's intention to invite his son since they are still together?
