From the OP to everyone, none was able to state in clear terms, whatever "treatment" they got from the company? What are we to make of all the parables ?

Trade unions, staff unions and labour groups are existing for reasons like this.

Life is in stages. Employer are you honestly deserving of your wage?employee, are you a slave driver?

Money is a spirit. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Family › Re: Abortion: Getting Rid Of An Un-prepared Pregnancy by ifyalways(f): 10:09am On Nov 25, 2012
OP, how old are you and your GF?
Why did you guys wait this late before going for an abortion?

If either of you's are below 20 then abortion is not a "fair deal" as right now, none of you knows what s/he wants. Tell your parents !

If you guys are above 20, what challenges do you guys have?finance?are you guys in school?one of you has to sacrifice education for a job! Aside the challenges and pregnancy, do you think you guys are good enough for each other for marriage?if yes, keep the pregnancy and trudge on, things would get better.

If you are both above 20 and are very very convinced that abortion is the only way out, depending on your location, you can get a very good doctor to induce abortion safely. Its an option and choice.

If I were in your shoes, I won't do abortion though. You know what's best for you,do it! Goodluck!

A bre.asT in mouth is worth 2 in the bra.
Depending on his tenacity and fighting spirit level. I was once in same boat, mine was even tough,I resigned from a well paying job to venture into aviation logistics with no name, office or contact. It was tough but I held on though there were months I couldn't make 10K. Lol and I'll so miss my salary and old secured job.

Since Arts(to the best of my knowledge) is something he can do @ his leisure time, weekends etc, I think he's better off grabbing this job. He needs to build a professional profile too and this job would offer him that opportunity. Nothing stops him from doing the two; hobby and profession.

Family › Re: Family Section Reality Show - Keeping Up With Nairalanders by ifyalways(f): 8:07am On Nov 25, 2012
agiboma: Well here is my two cents: I think the "reality show" is a good idea if it indeed depicts the true "reality " of marriages today and not the ideal or pre concived notion of one individual perception of marriage i.e the OP. So here we go with a "so called reality show" but its not a reality show because the cast is selected by the OP who already has her opinion set in stone of what a marriage truely should be. When here "reality" of marriage may not be the same as another person's reality of marriage.
This show can only work if the following is in placed, so far the concept is totally skewed and is rally a figment of the OP's imagination, the concept itself lacks dept. The bottom line is if you want to reach the audience on NL, you should try to incorporate the following:

1.) Include many participants @ least 5 married couples depicting their live, like most reality shows their are usually 5+ people they are following.
2.) These people should be all sorts of charecters, with different personalities, i.e people with open marriages, long distance relationships, etc.
3.) Married couples who are newleweds, long term marriages etc.

The concept of "a couple with a good marriage" and a "bad marriage" is so old and 1920's variety need to be put in place to make the concept a little more exciting. Also if possible you can be non bias shocked and actually moderate the thread that would be a welcomed gesture!
I agree with some of your points. It would be a good show if we can get away from the conventional happy marriage idea. I'll love to see couples that are very happy in :
Open marriages polygamy
Atheist/no religion marriage.
The "supposed " happy marriage
Etc.
Family › Re: My Ex Wants Me Back ! by ifyalways(f):
His marriage is just 1 year old, your son is 3 years old.
He dated you for how long(huh)but yet didn't see you good enough as a wife material. He only had 2 years or less to marry his wife.you admitted that his marriage came as a shock to you, meaning, you assumed it was gonna be you.

First years of marriage are always tacky for couples.he's only using you to cool off the marriage stress. At the end of the day, he's going back home to his wife. You weren't good enough for him as a wife then, even after giving him a baby, you can't be now either.

SMH @ folks propagating the idea that the man is not happy in/with his marriage/wife?! Wtf! A man looking for cheap, crazy seex away from home now equates to him not being happy in his marriage?
@OP, wait till he bangs you roundly twice or thrice. As in, fulfil all those fantasies in his head, he won't think twice before relocating with his family to a new city.
If you were half as smart as you portray here, dude would be on cast iron lips POP now for attempting to kiss you. That's an insult, IMO but then, he knew you are a willing play thing.

Don't let this guy waste your life. You should be having fun with some single guy out there not listening to a married ex's fairytale stories, getting kissed and all what not.

Literature › Re: Is The Use Of Child Soldiers, A Good Phenomenon Or Not - Nigerian Online Debate by ifyalways(f): 11:33pm On Nov 24, 2012
Good answers, ladies.

Cleoptara, I like your honesty, admitting that "some" of them would have a tough time relating with the society without the "violence monster" rearing up its head.

QueenAmina, revenge would be a temptation many kids that were suddenly seperated from their loved ones can't resist.shock can ginger a lot of emotions; anger, revenge etc

@queenamina, what other(better) options do you think are available for a child that is abandoned or orphaned in the face of war? Don't you think that enlisting is the "best" option for such a child?
Literature › Re: Is The Use Of Child Soldiers, A Good Phenomenon Or Not - Nigerian Online Debate by ifyalways(f): 10:18pm On Nov 24, 2012
@cleoptara, what becomes of the child soldiers after the war ?

Seeing that they've become used to "force, violence and having things done their way" , don't you think most of them would end up as gangsters and terrorists?starting up series of wars against anyone (family, neighbours, country)?

Re: Childness In One's Marriage, What If Your Hubby Brought In A 2nd Wife? by almondjoy(f): 2:21pm On Apr 22, 2008 Fine with me. . .he deserves to be happy.  I also deserve to be happy.  I am out of the marriage as in "yesterday"!  I will wish them well. I really do not have to have a man in my life to be happy. If it was my fate not to have children. . .so be it! Would not be bothered at all! My life will go on and very well tooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I am not a sulker. . .no matter what the circumstances are! He can marry 25 wives and have 2000 children for all I care. . .that is his phocking business! I have my own life to live. . .with or without him. There is just something terribly disgusting about knowing that my husband's deeek visits 2 Kitty-cats at the same time.  I just cannot handle that kind of nastiness! Don't really care what the God-forsaken religion or culture says or writes!

Love you all the way. Open, closed or shut marriage. tongue. And your AJ handle remains my favorite.

Na hia we dey now?good!

I knew your Almondjoy handle as a firm believer of NO extra marital affairs and strict monogamy so I'm quite surprised when you said you are now in an open marriage, had a divorce. I still have some of your comments in my head; "once married, stay married" , "I've being chopping just one dyke, my first and only" , "dyke and puccies are same worldwide.you seen one?, you've seen it all" etc

Truth is, I don't believe this your open marriage tori. cheesy. You are full of surprises but this open marriage tori. . . Ebelebe igba!
Family › Re: Is It Right For Parents To Insult Their Children? by ifyalways(f): 9:29am On Nov 24, 2012
Why you insult your kids you are indirectly insulting yourself, IMO. Ok, maybe I should ask, what qualifies as an insult undecided

Its bad parenting to insult kids. You're teaching them that its acceptable to "insult" when you are mad.

I scold, draw their ears etc but no insult.
