The pitch is wet and wobbly.

Another yellow to Duncan of liberia. So he's going off and he was their captain.

Travel › Re: Few Nigerians Work As Cabin-Crew On International Airlines? by ifyalways(f):
I've worked with 2 international airlines as CC and I think some of the reasons responsible for the OP's observations are :

Age factor :most Naija ladies btw the ages of 19 to 27 are not thinking of working yet. They are probably interested in writing Jamb, pinging and fbk, sugar dadding or seriously facing her studies in uni. The maximum age required by airlines for new entrant CC is 27 to 28.

Language:to stand a better chance of working as CC, ability to speak atleast one foreign language is needed. How many naija girls @ OP, btw the ages of 19 to 27 can flow fluently in either French, Dutch, Spanish etc?

Body mass index, height, general physical appearance: bloated tummies, bad body carriage etc won't get you there.if an airline wants a black CC, they want one with a nice black skin(no toned knuckles, bleached skin etc).

Naija factors :
1)the general idea that female CC sleep around, are not wife material.

2)job hazard. Most parents won't co sign to their daughters globe trotting. The fear of air mishaps abound et all.
3)drug related offences. CC's sometimes act as drug mules. Which African country is topping the league in drug trafficking?
Family › Re: Postpartum Depression: What You Need To Know by ifyalways(f): 12:52pm On Oct 13, 2012
Nice one, debrief. I never experienced PPD so when I first came across a victim who happened to be a friend, crying up and down and acting up, I almost screamed at her.

I think educating pregnant women about PPD during ante natal would be a very effective method. (off topic, I have a problem with lagos states law of blood donation for free ante natal service @ the govt. Hospitals.)

@slimyem, you'll be surprised to know that PPD is a mystery even to "some" educated folks.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Any Hope For A Graduate After Six Years Of Joblessness? by ifyalways(f): 12:30pm On Oct 13, 2012
First off what did the graduate "study" in school ? When folks force themselves just cos they couldn't make good scores in Jamb to do courses like "microbiology, agric science, guidance and counselling etc" in todays "Nigeria", you can't help but wonder if such people are born stoopid. I'm not saying those courses aint great, they might be outside this shores but in Nigeria and with a mere Nigerian Bsc?c'ommon please!!!

Next, what was the graduates GPA?whatever, however, anyhow, every undergraduate in Naija should aim for 2nd class minimum. ie 2.2 .

Third, grab an short professional course you can while waiting. It enhances your CV. Even a new foreign language.

Don't ignore little beginings. Go for a job not cos the salary is great but consider the boost it would do to your CV. Plus the experience you'll grab.

Network!!! Anywhere you go, church, club, fbk, twitter etc look for positive people and network with them. Grab opportunities, sell yourself at every given time.

Think of being your own boss. Look around your immediate enviroment, what "demand" can you "supply" ?

Consult God!

When did Arabs become "white" ?

Anyhoos, aside paying for the upkeeps, does the kids dad not get visitation rights too?nothing stops him from keeping in touch with the kids. generally speaking, most kids come looking for their dad/root later in life, especially the mixed breeds.
