What is going on here? Are we really going to do this well or what?

I think going up to invite Igbos from all section of nld would rubbish the whole thing as people would nominate and vote for whoever they know to be Igbo and not necessarily who best fits. Eg, how can anyone nominate sexkillz?

We should limit the nominations and elections(if possible) to Igbos that have been identifying with Igbo and the course of Igbo's not just any Igbo.
If this election is going to be a joke(as its currently looking) then I withdraw my nominations.

Udo!

^ ^ this is not coogar. Someone else, probably a female is rocking that handle now.

Your point is what?cos you've patronised child-hawkers you cannot speak up against child labor or that qualifies you guilt- free to hire a child to clean your shyte?

@unique!, your scenario is totally different and I've seen and heard of countless of such positive stories. When you pick a child of a poor relative to live with you, in Naija, no one refers to such people as helps (omo odo/Nwa a kpotara akpota)! Even neighbours know and treat her fine. Can we honestly say same for all those imported kids from agents?

Anyway, I think this topic has been flogged to death. At the end of the day, we all have our consciences to deal with.

seniorklop: excuse me pls! i can't remember telling anybody to pay money to whoever. i'm an applicant like other people on this thread. why all these derogatory remarks?if u have been swindled .... well sorry. i do not work with NATFORCE how do u expect me to answer ur questions??
u just don't know wat time is ithuh
how many govt parastatals are on ">wwwhuh
botttomline anything can happen in this country though i share ur sentiment but u never can tell what gonna happen.
Oh so now my comment is derogatory?you forgot so fast that you started it EVEN when I didn't address you?

I could care less if you are an applicant, scammer or recruiter. If you don't have answer to my question, move on, twas not directed to you in the FIRST place.

I have as much right as y'all to post here and anywhere else i deem fit. If you can't stand it, too bad.

Now back to NATFORCE, what's the new date for this "court case" ?

I have no qualms with NATFORCE really. If anything, i wish they'll be re-called back as it will have many people of the "job market" but right now, who is collecting all the training, uniform, application fees?
What "if" natforce don't get un banned soon?is that not equal to scamming people?
Is it not same as asking people to pay for shop rent cos someone promised to "send" you goods from abroad?
Family › Re: Husband Taking Money From Wife's Purse - What Should She Do? by ifyalways(f): 8:47am On Oct 18, 2012
@OP,is the husband jobless?
The first step is sitting the man down and ask him why he's stealing your money?let him know you are worried not cos of the petty cash he steals from you but the fact that he might one day try it outside. He could be kleptomaniac?
Don't mock him, be little or bruise his ego, ask as a loving concerned wife.

I've heard a story of a young lady who after paying for a night bus, abuja to lagos, strolled to get suya from a mallam within the bus terminal only to be "arrested" by the over zealous agents .she showed them her bus ticket, screamed and got the attention of other passengers who came and identified her yet she was taken away and detained .her dad travelled from lagos to bail her 3 days later.

Ridiculous, unbelievable but very true.

What I meant was that my late dad agreed and told us that Nsibidi/Nsibiri originated from Ibibio land.

Politics › Re: Eze Ndi Igbo Online Election 2012 - Nomination in progress by ifyalways(f): 2:41pm On Oct 17, 2012
I nominate Odumchi.

He's the first person that comes to my mind when I think of a united, peaceful igbo online community. A community where non-igbos can freely interact with without fear but yet would be swiftly put in their place when the handshake exceeds the elbow.

We want an igbo online community that are proud to showcase their identity and culture and at same time respect our neighbours cultures even when it appears meaningless.

We want a leader that will talk less but act more maka n'ife Nwoke ga-eme di ya n'obi.

Odumchi remains my number 1 nomination. Can I nominate more than ofu Onye?

Family › Re: Caught A Fellow Nigerian Woman Cheating On Her Husband . Can I Tell Him by ifyalways(f): 11:18am On Oct 17, 2012
I know this family and if i look in more closely, I'll fish out the OP.

@OP, you showed your aproko tendencies when you got interested in knowing " what or why your client travels often for" . Now, you've got someone elses burden on your amebo head.

Now that you know, DEAL with it!

After this, you'll focus on your Amadeus and finding cheap fares as opposed to cheap gossips.

The sister is an adult, if there's any truth in what she's saying, you think she wouldn't have done something anonymously all these days? You go soon fall into big trap courtsey of your "big ears and long tongue" lol

Looking at your thread title, one would think you caught anyone red handed.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: No Employment Letter, No Work. by ifyalways(f): 10:20am On Oct 17, 2012
Mans wickedness to man. Everybody is everybody's prey.

I understand the desperation and frustration of job seekers but to avoid "jumping from frying pan to fire", every employee should insist on an employment letter and READ it too! 3 months is more than enough time to get an employment letter from an employer.

Nairaland General › Re: Do U Believe In Hypnosis by ifyalways(f): 10:10am On Oct 17, 2012
Thanks Mynd and damsel.

@topic, yes I believe that hypnosis exists and works! However, unless one is totally stopid or swallows just about everything, it takes someone or something that you totally believe in, worship or see as a semi god before one can be hypnotised and manipulated.

In some cases though, someone with your life history, that knows your dreams and aspirations can equally hypnotise you.
Your personal beliefs creates your realities.

Related question, is oro a masquerade or a festival?

In places like Ajiran, ikate etc(lagos) I learnt they observe "oro" every 7 or 8 days midnight to dawn only. Why's that?the oro I know is celebrated once every 4 years or so.
