Finally, my pink jet landed on 20th this month. Edd- 22, 25 and 27 of January.

I almost died in the labour room, eventually she was birthed through emergency CS. weighing 3.5kg.

CS recovery ideas are highly needed at the moment.

When my daughter was 9 months old, a female relative started mounting pressure on me to have another baby. She was scaring me with menopause. I allowed myself to be pressured and got pregnant.
Pregnancy with a baby is not fun at all. With a toddler, it's more difficult. However, God had mercy on me and helped me.

First trimester was full of nausea and vomiting. And a deep hatred for my meals. If I must eat, it must be made by someone else. I visited almost all the restaurants in my town. For the nausea, I tried many things until I found one that saved me - menthol chewing gum. I chewed this gum day and night. It was a blessing from God Himself. Followed by spicy abacha.

Second trimester brought huge relief. I used to forget that I'm even pregnant until the baby kicks. I started eating my food. Infact, if I don't make the food myself, I won't enjoy it. It was the opposite of first trimester. The pregnancy was a smooth one. No complications.

Third trimester came with aches and pains. To turn on the bed was war. My pelvic was on fire. And there was serious leg cramps. I was trusting God for quick delivery cos of the pains. But, my EDD came and there was no show. Doctor said she would give me the grace of only one week before induction. Me sef I wanted the induction ASAP. . One week came and still met me pregnant. Chai!

On induction day, hubby and I left in the morning. Doctor started with mitsoprotol tablets. It was inserted into my vagina and my mouth. Contractions started in an hour time and water broke too. But, it was very slow. By 3pm, doctor shifted to oxytocin injection. It was too painful. I was screaming and holding on to the bed handles. We continued with it until 7pm. Around this time, I started feeling the urge to push. The nurses were begging me not to push in order to avoid cervical tear. But I remember my English . "Nurse I'm not the one pushing o. It is pushing me." .

The nurses finally saw the head of the baby and realized that I'm saying the truth. I wasn't pushing on my own accord. It was the push that was pushing me .
They now asked me to hold my legs and push. I pushed two to three times and my son popped out on the bed. He looked so big. Weighing 3.8kg. They cleaned him up with olive oil. Hubby was then allowed to come in. We were discharged the next morning to the glory of God.

Mother, father, big sister and baby are all doing well.
This is me hanging my boot till 2025.
Nobody can pressure me again . I don suffer.

Baby dust to GTC moms. God has commanded us to be fruitful. Hold on to Him! His word never fails.
Safe and quick delivery to all belleful moms.

EDD: Jan 5
Delivery Day: Jan 2.

Got married Jan, shortly after that we moved to a new country. We had planned to wait until one year or atleast we are settled(getting good job in this new country) .
We hardly have sex, like if we do we were extremely careful. Not until I had a dream, where I had a son that looks so much like hubby woke up, I was just confused, told hubby he just laughed and said maybe it's time. I refuted .
Before then, my mum and MIL when we told them about plans to wait until we fully settled here, they will vehemently disagree that it doesn't work like that, that we don't need to wait.
We didnt even know how it happened, after i had that dream. We went to register to get a family Doctor. We have been procastinating doing that, so its the norm here, when you reg for a fam dr, he or she will refer you to do a complete and total check, this is to have ur history reg online just incase of emergency. The Dr was suppose to refer me for Pap smear , Cervical screening and asked if I was pregnant, i said No. She asked when last i saw my period and when i was expecting it.. It was delayed by 2 days, she didnt want to take chances, she immediately sent me to their lab for a pregnancy test. Result came out positive, I and hubby laughed and was even surprised.That is how the visir changed mini pre natal class. My screening will be after my delivery whilst hubby was referred for his, they did ECG, checked his bladder, blood work etc. Dr sent me for pregancy blood work, she prescribed prenatal vitamins for me to start taking asap.

Now the Journey begins:

First Trimester:
My first trimester symptoms wasn't that bad, felt weak, I was nauseous, vomited like thrice throughout this stage and this was because of drinking water after meals.
I used 7up and iced water to reduce my nauseous and to get strength. I stayed off the kitchen,hubby was the one doing the cooking. My colleague at work, she will always make sure she brings me fruits, yogurt and lunch daily.

Second Trimester

Lounging period, I almost forgot I was pregnant except for towards the ending that I started having pelvic pains, to turn when on bed was war.
At 20 weeks, I couldn't sleep for 2 nights, i had serious abdominal pain hubby rushed me to the hospital on the second day at 1am, was checked at the hosp and was told it ligament something can't remember and said it's the uterus expending that there is nothing they can do. DR recommended I get a pregnancy support belt and take tylenol,told me to go home that i was fine.

Third Trimester[/i]
Came with lil first semester packaged. Backpains, waist pain, heartburn. When I seat for long to stand up war. My body started repelling sugary food, once I take anything that has sugar in it.
Immediately I will be so weak and tired, won't get myself until I vomit.Happened severally so I totally escaped breakfast. I eat my first food at 2pm especially because I was working from home and incase I start feeling weak, will just go lie down.
On my 36weeks hosp visits, they checked baby and noticed baby was breeched, they checked his weight and water level in the uterus and referred me for a Version(To try turn baby Manually) they told me it was a 50/50 thing, and emergency can occur that I should be prepared incase my baby will come out and if it wasn't successful i had the option of giving birth through VD as well and that there is a special hosp for it, they were trained on Breech delivery or CS that i will discuss with the OB on those options and choose a date for CS if applicable. I was scared and not mentally prepared for any other pain asides delivery. Made my findings about the Version,I asked a community support fbk group and majority advised its a 50/50 thing that they will opt for CS. My MIL who is a midwife told me not to fo for it. On the day for Version, called the hosp and canceled my appointment that I was going to wait and see if baby will turn otherwise will go for CS.
The hosp said they were going to book another app for me to discuss with the surgeon about the CS, that they usually would do elective like 10 days before EDD.
I went on youtube to watch exercises on turning breech babies, saw couple of exercises. Tried one and after my second day, i noticed my babies position turned a little. His head that was up went slant. I was happy thinking by next day he would have turned.. Akuko.
Saw the OBS that would perform the surgery,he checked baby, he was stil breeched, and said if i had tried the Version it wont have worked as i didnt have enough fluid for baby to turn that my decisiona was perfect na so me and hubby look ourselves.He explained the whole process to me, and after care as well. After his explaination,he asked if we had any question. We asked him and by the time we were done, i was ready self for the CS. Like he made it seem so easy. He asked his nurse to book me for the CS, and the hosp was completely booked until 6 Jan. He told them to call dem for an earlier date. The nurse did and the earliest we got was 2 jan. I wasnt happy o, my tired was tired already and was scared not to even go into labour self till then. So i was extremely careful, wasnt doing much other than resting.

[b]Delivery Day:
[/b]The day came, we were asked to come around 6.30 am. That night I could hardly sleep, I shall work up 3am, said my divine mercy,rosary and prayed seriously. By the time we were done with prayers it was 5am, we did final packing, had my bath, set out for the hosp. 6.43am we were at the hosp, gave I and hubby tags on our had. The first nurse came, checked my weight,height and BP. Another nurse came, took us in, said dey were going to monitor baby heartbeat for about an hour while dey were preparing the theatre, dey also were monitoring If I will go into labour. Put the UV on me, anesthetics nurse came, introduced herself to us, told us what she was going to do, the OB came also introduced herself and the people that will be in the room and their duties. Shortly after that, I was wheeled into the theatre, omo immediately, my heart started beating, I was happy that finally that pregancy journey will end and will meet my lil man and was scared as I have never done CS before don't know wat I ll face. Called my mum and MIL, dey prayed for me I was calm. The anesthetic nurse gave me the spinal,I didn't feel any pain from hers just shock and she was carrying me along of what I will be feeling before she does anything so I was kind of aware. She laid me down, omo I couldn't move my legs, it was like my legs wasn't part of my body. I was shouting and asking where are my legs can't feel them. They said it was normal, I should try to lift my legs, I said I can't. They told hubby to come and keep me company to distract me. Hubby came started gusting with me, we were watching funny videos on YouTube. The anathestics nurse was also gisting with us and giving us update. Baby came out shortly,heard his cry and I was shown my baby, immediately i felt cold shivers and tears of Joy. They took him to clean him up, came back with him and put him on me. Before giving my hubby to hold him. Not up to 20mins they were done and pushed me to post recovery room.

Fourth Trimester[/i]:
Has been awesome, thanks to hubby. He has been very helpful, even my baby aswell only wakes up when he his hungry,after feeding him he goes to sleep. Just that he his clingy,most times he likes been carried. So I just lay him on me, or put him in between i and hubby so we can sleep

My baby boy was born this evening @40 weeks, 2 days, after a LONG INDUCTION . I suffered, but it ended in praise. Vaginal birth, no tears. Weighing 3.9kg.

This is a lie though. My CS didn't last 30 minutes. I entered 10 minutes to 12 and I was wheeled out 12.25 or so. Time of my baby delivery was 12.15. Happened here in Lagos, Berger side.

The next morning, walked to the bathroom myself without any help where the nurse bath me. Recovery was very fast and I can say I don't feel any pain. My baby will be a month on Saturday & I'm back to doing my exercise to get back in shape.

Some Naija doctors are trying, let's give them some accolades.

There is a reason for everything happening.
Myself would have preferred to give birth Virginally i belive there is a reason for baby turning breech suddenly leading to my option for CS.He knows best and knows what he is trying to prevent.

Kpele don't stress or sweat it. Whatever will be will be.
Mine went breech at 36 weeks,at my 34 weeks visit his head was down o. They offered to do a Version to get to turn the baby down. But I was told it's a 50/50 thing especially as he his my first. On the day of the app, I called to cancel I wasn't mentally prepared for any pain outside delivery .
I decided to wait let baby turn or go for CS.

Check youtube there are some exercise to help turn breech babies but I fear since you 40 weeks you don't go into labour. Because I was initially doing them, I notice his head going sideways ,I just stopped as I was scared of going into labour.

God will come through for you.

Baby went breech suddenly. I'm not happy at all. I'm hoping for a miracle.can I go further to 42weeks to see if the position might change,I'm 40

No headaches, i only felt shock on my left left at the time of inserting the spinal. Then shivering after the spinal before commencement of the CS. I didnt get up immediatelyafter CS because i still cant feel my legs, i got up after i started feeling my legs. That was i think 6 hours after i left operationg room. Then i sat upright to eat. Same day at 11pm, the nurse came to take me for walking.They also wore me compressed socks too.I think the pain killers dey gave me eliminated the headaches, helped with the pains, and also the swelling at the incision side.

Did nothing much..

The nurses gave me pain reliver every 6hrs, took tylenol(acetaminophen), ibruprohin(Advil)and hydromorphine.
Then I started working that evening of CS, nurses always come to take me for walk morning and evening. Eventhough I Stayed in the hosp for two nights. I tried to walk that really helped. Day of CS pain wasn't that much, i even ate better sweet fried rice.lol. Day 2 pain was more when I asked why, they said because the spinal has completely worn off, Day 3 was better I even had my bath myself on Day 3, Day 4 pain same as DAY 3 but Day 5 the pain disappeared myself surprise,on Day 5 I only feel pain when I try to laugh but now I am very okay. I also kept at taking the drugs too like twice daily, I intend to stop taking it this weekend too.

Also, I didn't give birth in naija too because naija doctors are so crazy with CS, learnt they stay more than 1hr in operating room. my CS didn't last more than 35 mins both the sewing.it was so fast and swift.

I really don't have problem with sleeping..

It's like part of my morning sickness came with this 9th month. Weakness, tiredness, backpain, waist pain especially whenever I finish eating especially sugary things.. I immediately have the above symptoms,if I no vomit I won't get myself... It made me to be afraid to eat especially when I am working.

To eat breakfast dey fear me ehhhh..

It's well o, counting down..

Will start serious exercise from nextweek oo, weda body gree me or not.

My January mamas, how are you all doing and how body na, hope everyone is doing ok,I don't know if I am the only only one feeling this,I will be 36weeks by Saturday, but to be sincere am tired already, very very tired wallahi,to sit is a problem, not to talk about walking, sleeping is another thing all my right and left side are paining me,I can't even eat much,if I eat tummy will become like stone very hard to touch and doctor was telling me baby is to big,I had to go for scan today and the weight was 2.5kg.i just feel like I should just be shouting or just bring the baby out my self.

Yeah its spotting, since it's has stopped no cause of alarm.. To rest your mind she can go see her Doc. I also had spotting at 12 weeks for a day aswell but it was nothing. And we are almost at 36weeks. Most mamas here had spotting and have delivered healthy LO.

I don't even know where to start from, I was team Dec 2021,the journey was partially smooth it was few days to my Edd that I started panicking but took control of everything. After birth my baby hardly sleeps or is me that is exaggerating things Sha,maybe that is how it should be,but I hardly sleeps at night, because egbon show me Chon thing o even till now.
Have never been confused in my life like when am nursing my baby the guy no just send you, to sleep wahala, to use the restroom ogun, to birth gbeghe o, to eat sef problem. Letter Sha he Sha pity my life when am trying to enjoy the little peace, even promising myself that I will wait for good three years o,thanking God for having mercy on me,another one look me say you never see anything con enter, without seeing my menstruation o,as in it took me three months to know that am pregnant, omo life tired me, my husband hear ween from my hand infact his still hearing it, the first day I went to clinic I was just asking everybody that is it possible not to menstrate and get pregnant ni, infact i almost ask the gateman sef.
After everything Sha I was told that am team April, the woman doing the scan asked for my LMP I just feel like slapping her, person wen no menstrate dey get LMP, but am promising myself if I born today if it pass two hour before I will be put on family planning I will scatter that hospital, and after this one I will wait for five years may God help me so.

All my people wan port to December, who go come remain for Jan..

I am fine oh, na the weakness now I dey battle.


God will make it a seamless and easy delivery for all January Mama's.
