DaFlash: *This people seems to be mastubating hard on the current yoruba-hausa ethnic tribal clash in lagos, they seem not to think of the ripple effects this small tenson will bring to all tribes in nigeria when it escalates to a full blown crisis/civil war 2.0. Talk of their sizable population in lagos and SW plus their liveliwood and investments all over nigeria but they are blinded to play tribal hate and choose the "enemy of my enemy is my friend". *Even when the oba of lagos gave the infamous threats doing 2015 lagos elections, we saw some sizable yorubas who condermed this act they seem to forget this. Plus when soilders are killing them in east in their biafra protests we saw some sizable yorubas who condermed this act. But i have not seen not even one of them that condermed the current ethnic tenson in lagos. *They think a nigeria civil 2.0 will be limited to one region even after they get their country, they are wrong it will be felt at all corners of the country plus even all of west africa(take sudan, iraq, syria and middle east for example). *One thing we nigerians seem not to understand is that SW is the heart of this country and all regions of west africa if any thing happens here it will determine the outcome of what will happen else where. *SW is like a buffer zone and balance between north and south, islam and christianity, all various tribes in the country, if it boils all other regions are gone and roasted. THIS CURRENT ETHNIC TENSION SHOULD BE CONDERMED AND SWIFTLY STOPPED AT ALL COST BEFORE ITS TOO LATE FOR ALL. Sharrap!!! Instead of you to face the reality that stares you on d face, you are here stylishly pushing blames on the humble and quiet IBO man? Which way forward, Nigeria? Hausa dey kee ya pipu, na IBO man fault? When our people were stup!dly campaigning for those anuofias, why didn't we think about the consequences of our folly then? If Nigeria will burn because Igbo refuse to toe our path this time, so be it. But get this fact: IBO man is not the problem of the Yoruba. Mtchw |

Realtol: Dindinrin, confused set of people (kanu or Kalu n co )... Part of Benin people are also descendants of Oduduwa. It was the balkanisation that split it and made those people to be on a land called Benin. If you go there, I'm sure you will hear an element of Yoruba language from their language. You guys need history book. To be half baked is trully a problem. In as much as I am neither for nor against the self-determination or self-actualisation of the Igbo people in whichever peaceful manner they chose to do it, I have my grievance against the way and manner the Yoruba people want to distort history just to make their Oduduwa an all encompassing deity. For the record, no part of Benin is a descendant of Oduduwa whomwas only a prince from Benin. The more you guys make this assertion, the more I am forced to believe you dont know your history. |

nnachukz: Op are you mocking some people. If not for the constitution that mandates dullardkpo to pick from each of the state, I will bet my house that all ministers must come from the north. The only thing I like from the latest appointments is that even the change chanters have turn to wailing wailers thereby increasing our wailing community. Proudly 5%. You never can tell. Some folks recently advocated for an Interim Constitution as a replacement to the existing one so as to enable your President function optimally. So, should your constitutional provisions be pushed aside, during his ministerial appointments, dont be sad or mad. While it last, enjoy the dividends of your APC.……… Change!!!!!! |

donphilopus: This man should just keep shut lest thunder fires him. He 'dashed' out the Deputy Senate Presidency slot to PDP and he's here blabbing. The respect I used to have for Saraki and Dino Melaye has just diminished. I love the way Ndume was treated. He never knew Saraki had met with PDP Senators to offer them the 'Deputy Presidential' slot. He thought he had played fast on his fellow APC Senators to emerge the Deputy to Saraki. He may have dumped Saraki by now since his 'supposed' slot was freely given to Ekwerimadu and Saraki is in for a long thing.
The PDP Senators should know that they were the greatest losers yesterday. Out of the 57 Senators that were present at the hallowed chamber of the Senate during the 'sham' Election, only 8 of them were APC Senators. If a PDP Senator had moved a motion to nominate a fellow PDP Senator (say David Mark), he would have won the contest hands down and Saraki would have felt betrayed by now (which would have gladdened my heart). Saraki betrayed their trust in him when he defected to APC, he also betrayed APC's trust when he shunned the meeting convened by the President at the ICC and went to the floor of the Senate, they (PDP) should have also betrayed him by electing a PDP man as Senate President. I would have preferred it that way. PDP goofed! No one cares about what you think or who you have respect for. Infact, Saraki doesn't whether someone like you is "angry" with him. The bottom line is: Sen. Saraki is the Senate President Nigeria has at the moment. So learn to get use to it. And as for Sent. Ekweremadu, what can I say? When it comes to the "politickings" in Nigeria politics, APC is an amateur. |

Politics › Nigeria’s Jonathan For Nobel Peace Prize by igbeke(op): 7:48am On Jun 06, 2015 |
Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan has been recommended for the Nobel Peace Prize by a public policy organisation on African affairs, the Africa Political & Economic Strategic Center (AFRIPOL). The organisation noted that the will of Alfred Nobel, the progenitor of Nobel Prize stated that Peace Prize be awarded to whoever “shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”. Accordingly the organisation held that the ‘peaceful way President Jonathan conceded to President- elect Buhari deserves the attention of Nobel Peace Prize committee. He may have not promoted “fraternity between nations” but he surely promotes fraternal peace among Nigerians by conceding power.’ The group maintained that the “concession speech by President Jonathan averted bloodshed, violence and imbroglio in the most populous country in Africa. This gesture by Jonathan [sic] buttressed to the whole world that Nigeria has joined the comity of civilized nations. Nigeria can be said to have shown great leadership in Africa and made Africans in general and Nigerians in particular to comprehend that transfer of power does not need to be violent but rather peaceful as heralded by the outgoing president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan.” www.reportsafrique.com/2015/06/nigerias-jonathan-for-nobel-peace-prize/
