Christianity EtcRe: Man Shoots At Jehovah Witnesses For Visiting by iGeneral: 9:24am On Oct 05, 2013
It is obvious there are a lot of anarchists in our society and NL. Only anarchists will support a frustrated man shooting at innocent law abiding witnesses. Now that the anarchists have spoken, here are some points to note:

1. Jesus was stoned in his time for same reason – John 8:59, 10:31 and 11:8

2. This same man who shot at witnesses would have shot at salesmen too. He is that frustrated. But such ones are the types that end up being witnesses at the end. I hope we can get to know what happens to him in the future.

3. None of those who condemn witnesses here or elsewhere do so because of their behaviours or character but because of their doctrines – Mathew 7:20. One even said JWs believe they are the only one that have the truth. Imagine. No matter how ridiculous your religion is, if you did not believe it is the truth, you won’t go there.

4. If thier doctrines are bad, how is it that their behavior as a group is good? Mathew 7: 16,-19

5. One even alleged JW to be trading on hedge funds and real estate. JW don’t mix businesses with their faith. They will shelve everything in life to focus on the preaching work.

6. Being a Christian comes with a lot of responsibility, chief of which in evangelizing. Many nominal Christians wish they can be like the witnesses in conduct and preaching but they find it difficult. Some even try the preaching work and it always end up in failure. Hence they result to ‘preaching’ by placard and street parade.

7. The pastors that hide behind the television screens and stadium podium claiming to preach are only trying to avoid the responsibility that comes with face to face preaching. In direct preaching, the householder will take you to task. He will ask you intellectual question. How much of that do you get to do with your on-screen pastors? It is to the eternal credit of Jehovah’s witnesses that even little ones of them don’t mind this responsibility.

8. Men have become worshippers of men rather than God. So one claims to be a #teamRedeem, #teamWinners and even#teamCOZA. How much of contact do you even have with your pastors?. They dont even know you exist except in statistical terms by way of your tithes and offerings. To them, you are just a number that matter in Naira terms. JWs are all equal. No celebrity

9. In a society where people see wizkid, tuface, tupac, and other such like ones as role model, it wont be difficult to understand why we will have some who speak against the society’s finest.

10. But why do many people speak injuriously about JWs? It did not start today; true Christians and genuine Christianity have always been spoken against. – Acts 19:9. And the truth is that, when you talk of persecution, only true Christians are persecuted not fake ones. – Acts 9:2. The question to ask is: how close to Christ are JWs in teachings and practices and how close to Christ are your pastors and their followers (using that word deliberately) in teachings and practices.

Hezron Lorraine: You've been unbanned.congrats.
@Question:My money of course doesn't even make up a quarter of 1% of what they need to finance their project.reread my post, get me right,it's not the money that is the problem, but their persistence every sunday.they keep coming.I know when you intend bringing someone to Christ you follow up,I never came off as someone without Christ to them.We had communications as fellow christians. Why did they have to keep coming every sunday to my place when they can as well take those publications to someone who hasn't met Christ at all.seems to be,they've found an avenue to get money for their publications rather than moving on to find new converts.Don't attack blindly.
What is the address of the one 'who hasn't met Christ'? And why are they always meeting you at home if you have met Christ? Aren't you also supposed to go preaching the 'gospel'? Oh I forget: nominal Christian!

I Don't know what to say really. But that guy is just an animal. The guys were leaving as he asked them to leave yet he went for a gun. Well if what he did is lawful, he wouldn't be facing arrest and possible jail.

PoliticsRe: Outstanding Public Officers In Nigeria Since 1999 by iGeneral: 6:59pm On Oct 02, 2013
Jarus: To me, Fashola is the best public officer Nigeria has produced since return to civil rule in 1999

Others that posted (post) decent performance (by our low standard in Nigeria), by my reckoning:

1, Umaru Yar'adua (reversal of VAT, refinery sale, price hike, asset declaration etc)
2, Barth Nnaji (decent effort in power reforms)
3, Sule Lamido (good capital projects efforts, even if a bad politician)
4, Rotimi Ameachi (Decent capital projects efforts in his state)
5, Godswill Akpaebo ( Even if I don't like his politics, I admit he tried for his state. I've been to his state; best raod network of all the about Nigerian states I have visited)
6, Nasir el-Rufai (Not his biggest fan either, but I salute his efforts in FCT)
7, Nuhu Ribadu (You can argue he was selective, but you can't argue his victims were innocent. Plus he returned $15m Ibori bribe)
8, Lamido Sanusi (I commend his work in CBN)
9, Charles Soludo (His attention to ethics may be questionable, but you can't fault his achievement in terms of strenghtening our financial system)
10. Attahiru Bafarawa (I served in Sokoto state, and msut confess he did well for hsi people in terms of capital projects. Good roads everywhere)
11, Rauf Aregbesola (You can fault his politics - can be loud-mouthed, intervening in what doesn't concern him - but you can hardly deny his commitment to the uplift of his people. I was in Osun in August and the whole state looked like one big construction yard, road projects everywhere, despite meagre resources)
12, Ifeuko Omoigui (Decent and silent reform in FIRS; enlarged revenue base for Nigeria)
13, Donald Duke: Decent performance, mature leader

These are the guys I can give pass mark (50%) of all the public officers (elected or appointed) since 1999. There are others I have herad or read about (e.g Kayode Fayemi, Rochas Okorocha, Peter Obi), but I'm not convinced yet.

Strictly my opinion as a watcher of events in the country.
What's Akpabio's name doing on that list?

I suggest GEJ and PEJ as trustees since they are father and mother of all of us.
