Team July, how are we doing? I hope I'm not the only one who hasn't registered for antenatal. MS has finally gone, only feel nauseous when brushing. The strength since two days now no be here o. This morning hubby woke up to find me washing the bathroom. After that, I began mopping the whole house. Cooked, did laundry before hunger set it. He was so happy cos guy man has been the one doing most of the house chores. At times he will cook and instead of appreciating, I wont be able to eat. How I pity him. I'm So happy that my strength is returning again. I remember when I used to feel tired and can't wait to register for antenatal, now, the antenatal no hungry me again cos I feel so much better. I hope I'm not alone teamies? Happy weekend to us. Officially reporting as Team July. Edd July 24. |
mukht:I don't think pineapple juice is a good idea. Heard it causes contraction which leads to preterm labour. Making vegetable soup/stew with garden leaves and okro should is also good. Or she can try tomato paste or malt and milk. But mostly, garden egg leaves does the wonder faster and easier. If u can juice it better, if not, use enough of it in okro soup with, preferably fresh fish. |
dunasy:Thanks so much ma'am. |
dunasy:Thanks so much, I really appreciate ur response. I will definitely take a trip there. |

dunasy:Pls have you used Ijede Gen. Hospital, how good and caring are they? Are they good to first time moms? Thanks for ur response ma. |
Awesomemama:Okay, thanks for your response ma. But I will like to know, How was your ante natal journey at Ijede hospital? And would you have given birth there if it hadn't been for HMO? Thanks |
realtalk19: I stay at Elepe, after Itamaga. Ikorodu General hospital is good but I think is far from me. Cos I'm looking at going there weekly for antenatals and what of late night or very early morning delivery? We are still praying for a car, but don't know how early it'll come. Pls what do u feel? I'm approaching 13weeks and haven't registered for antenatal yet although I'm taking folic acid and ferrous tablets daily. I'm beginning to think it might not be good for my baby. |
Hi everyone, pls who knows about Ogunlana hospital, Ikorodu. I'm a first time mom and contemplating on using there. Also, my mom says she prefers Govt hospital while DH prefers private. I'm yet to register at any as I don't know which to use. |
So sorry for your loss @Happiness22. The Lord Himself will give you double for your pain. Take heart sis and take good care of yourself. |
Wat a swift delivery. Congrats momma and welcome baby. Simsimz: |

Awesomemama Yes, I am close to Ijede. Is it Ijede Gen hospital? |
Pls I need a recommendation on good Govt hospitals in Ikorodu, Lagos state. Im a FTM and dont know what to do. Someone suggested Okeletu Health centre. I went there and was told in case of cs, one might be referred. I'm not praying for cs but I think one never knows what God has in stock for delivery. |
God is in this group helping out pregnant sisters. I knew it but just confirmed it today. @QueenFav, I don't know how to quote as I'm new here even though I had read over 500 pages on this thread(starting from the first page and stopped at around page 300 then continued from page 5200 till now) but my comment on my indecision as to travelling with my hubby was my first. My mom informed hubby that she and hubby has to pray for me as a revelation came. They started the prayer today. I couldn't join the fast but decided to read Psalm 35, at least to do the little I could. Immediately after reading the scripture and praying, just lightly, I decided to check this thread. Mind you, I have been on Nairaland since morning but on the Travel section, as Nigeria matta recently just tire me. So I have been keeping myself busy on that section, at least if I read other people's testimony on how they left Naija and all, maybe God will know I'm serious and do something about it for me So after reading the Psalm, I carried my phone and checked the Health section, thus here and was met with Queenfav's angered outburst on how the guy who does her electricals lost his wife. Hmmnn. Immediately my spirit, I wouldn't want to say the Holy Spirit so as not to make it too spiritual, told me that this is the revelation I needed. And just so you know, my hubby is into electricals. And there is a way God speaks to me. He speaks to me not in the usual way He speaks to others. I just accepted this as God telling me not to embark on that journey. My younger sister who intended travelling to Mbaise for the Christmas, told me her travel is on hold as our mother told her she was warned about one of her children receiving a bad gift. So sisters, help me thank God. And I thank every one of you for your responses. God bless us all and may we all carry our LO without stress till term in Jesus' name, Amen! Sorry for the long post. |
Alright, thanks for your prompt responses. |
Good day house. Pls my younger sister is in her final class in the Senior Secondary School and she will be going for Nursing. I would like to know, BTW Nursing School and University which has more advantages on future nurses? Thanks. |
Thanks all for ur responses, I really appreciate. I have spoken to him and he insisted I go as he can't be away from me for two weeks I pray before the D-day he changes his mind cos I'm not so cool with it. |
Hi all. I'm new here. I don't know how far gone I am but my LMP was Oct 20th. Pls I need your opinions on this matter. My hubby wants us to travel to his hometown for the festive period. I don't know how wise that is as I'm already having some pregnancy symptoms like fatigue, vomiting while brushing and serious food aversions. I do not want a situation whereby his people in the village will know I have taken in. My mom isn't okay with me travelling, though it will break my Hubby's heart if I don't go with him as this is an avenue for him to show me off to some of his family members that couldn't make the wedding. The stress of travelling by bus from Lagos to Edo is another thing, I hope it won't affect my baby. I'm torn between listening to my boo or my mom. Pls has anyone travelled to the village in the very early weeks of pregnancy and how was it? Thanks for ur responses. |
