"My Girl is cheatin me ,,,,,,"

Hey, matey, if you know she doing it and still call her your girl well I'm happy to tell you it is no more cheating. You find yourself loving her more? She is only fulfilling your desires. If you love her for cheating on you then she is doing you a favour by cheating.

So be happy. Build your relationship and your whole life based on this very very important fact - Your girl is doing everything possible to make sure your expectations are met and you are complaining. shio !

Ahn ahn, what else do you want? Abi, you want the absolutely absurd expectation that if somebody is 'your girl' she should stay loyal to you, pah stupidness !
Please, where is this your girl let me know so me sef can contribute to your happiness.

@Ribe_man and darqly (and indeed anybody else)

You can reach me on email at dunhayes@yahoo.com.

The real problem we are having is 'structure'. How do we manage our investment ie. Business name, bank accounts, etc. I believe the gentleman Frankiriri is working something out in Nigeria. Over on this side, Barge and I have been in communication and we both will be in Nigeria in the very near future.

So please if you have any idea on how we can overcome these glitches I will be glad to hear them. I personally think that one of the many stock brokers on this forum should have picked up on this thread and be seriously canvassing to manage the fund for us #100,000 from 100 people alone is #10,000,000, with some good marketing I am sure we can raise more than that from this forum, but I don't know, maybe they are waiting for us to do all the work, become successful then they will start to run after us to bring our account to them (typical).

For the mean time the best structure I have seen is that of Frankiriri (the investment club- which was not my initial idea but close enough under the circumstance) I will be following that at the moment until I get to Nigeria and see the physical structure.

I advise that those who are interested contact frankiriri. - https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?action=profile;u=60724

@awoof, femionasan, waxxy, kxta and other pragmatic Nairalanders.
Eko ki yin O !!!

My fathers said 'the dog that can not hear the hunters whistle will become lost in the forest' may your dogs not be lost (like some people here).

I know a story.
It tells of how the environment affects people that come into contact with it.
In the analogy the harshness of the environment (such as is obtainable in EKO FEDERA) is compared to 3 boiling kettles of water.
The different types of people are compared to a carrot stick, an egg and a teaspoon of coffee.
When each is put in the water they react in different ways.

Like some people on this thread, the carrot goes into the water very strong and hard, unyielding and very 'confident of itself', 'going to lagos to make it'. It however comes out soft and soggy after the test. A broken man. The environment has changed them. They have realised a new and unassured part of themselves, they change. In the case of Lagos these are the people who were well taught at home, well groomed and well educated, people who were hard working where ever they were before coming to Lagos, people who lived 'chaste and pure' once. Lagos turned these people into the exact opposite of what they were, criminals, Unilag girls lol, people who litter, people who 'go number 2' under the bridges, people who do things they will never have thought of doing before. These people are the ones that "KEEP" Lagos the way it is, the ones who contribute in making Lagos worse. They are the 'the end justifies the means' kind of people. They are a majority of the masses but a minority of the successful.

The Egg people go to Lagos with a hard outer shell but a soft essence. They come out of the boiling water 'looking' the same on the outside but are seriously different inside. They have become hard inside, they look the same but are bitter inside, their heart is changed, they complain to themselves and others who wish to listen but still don't do anything (or believe they can't do anything) to change the situation. They might have even become better inside but their hard outer shell unless broken prevent their goodness from being useful (eg. the many Nigerians in diaspora who although they are "BETTER" of now cannot see anything good in their Nigerian experience. They will never change the situation.

The 'teaspoon of coffee' people go into the water as the most adaptable (powder takes on the shape of whatever container it is put in). They quickly turn the water into something that brings pleasure, something that is different from just boiling water (which i am vey sure no one will drink for pleasure), they quickly become one with their environment bringing 'development' and progress. The coffee is not seperate from the infusion that comes out from the relationship. It makes it better.

My point is that We all know what Lagos is and what it means to all of us.
But ultimately we are as responsible for our surrounding as the Government, other people and situations. You can either change it (In your own little way or just live in it), stop complaining or let it change you.

It is your choice, but Lagos will ALWAYS be greater and will always OUTLIVE the dissenters.

EKO O NI BAJE NI GBA TIWA O !!!!!

@Bigboylarry
If you are in London and are serious about this see this -

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-54328.32.html

It is the logistics and the nitty-gritty that is holding the vision back. However a couple of us guys are really interested.
I would suggest that if you have a suggestion on how any number of people will put their money together and manage it please we will be grateful to hear it on that thread.
I and some others on that thread are ready to invest as much as #100,000 to start with in order to target a directorship as soon as possible.
You are welcome to contribute because I know that the logistic is the only thing holding the plan at bay.

I am in London myself but will be going to Naij before the first bank PO is over. I intend to take a personal position and be part of a managed fund with like minded individuals.

Politics › Re: Message From An Angry American Soldier by ijogbon(m): 7:12pm On May 25, 2007
@All those saying that an Iraqi is more likely to die at the hands of another Iraqi than at the hands of an American and similar things.

Pray tell, If America did not go into Iraq dropping cluster bombs and bunker busting bombs and using ILLEGAL phosphorus bombs on innocent citizens will these insurgents be bombing all over? Will there have been a Sunni Shite war brewing? Will all the terrorists in the world 'face' Iraq when they pray?

The simple answer here is NO.

A better man than me said "there is no bad PEACE and no good WAR"

America should have stayed at home. Or better still that stupid IDIOT called Saddam should have waited for Goerge to hand out all his juicy military contracts to his homeboyz and mobilize his army into the gulf then that IDIOT should have resigned and installed a paliament of all his stooges. That way he would have hurt Bushes image more than it could have been salvaged destroying the fragile balance that the American economy was perching on and exposing the President for what he was - A FRAUD. The 911 event and his NOT BEING ABLE TO CATCH OSAMA would have been the highlights of his very short tenure I would have imagined and not this cri du coeur that the Iraq war has turned to.
It was all that IDIOTS fault. I don't see why people don't see a 'play' like i do. Fool will still have been alive now too.

62 entries on this thread and people still don't get it.

Sometimes when I am anxiously waiting for something (Mail for example) and I am looking out of the window in the direction I think it is going to come from the joke is always on me when it comes from a place I never thought to look. I have therefore learnt to keep my eye on the point I think benevolence or benefit is going to come from whilst still constantly scanning the environment in order not to miss benevolence and benefit from whence I have not expected.

My point is this - Here we all are debating on the corruption of our leaders and fellow country men. Here we are daily congregating here to spend time analysing the enigma that is the Federal Republic of Nigeria and all we continue to hear and say is that the government is corrupt, the leaders are corrupt and the peoples almost beyond redemption. But everybody knows this don't they?

For once let us 'reframe' - let us sit in the living room of our lives and watch the TV of dreams and goals that has pride of place in our lives. The sunlight that disturbs us from getting a good view (Government corruption and bad leadership) can be shut out of our lives by simply drawing the blinds or repositioning ourselves to negate the effects.

What I am trying to say is that if Nigerians looked at Nigeria for the mean time ignoring the antics of the government but factoring their unhelpfulness into our plans to succeed a whole new world will be obvious to us. A world where time is not spent arguing about who is or who is not corrupt (we all are in one way or the other) or on what and what not the government is supposed to provide but time is spent prescribing and providing solutions to the many problems we face everyday.

Everybody seems to forget that the Nigerian Police was still under Ciceros' command as the Attorney General of the federation and Chief up holder of law and order when he was brutally murdered. People forget that Obasanjo can not continue flying helicopters to Otta when he is no longer C-in-C but he has to get stuck in the recurrent hold ups on Abeokuta 'expressway' where I am sure some forward thinking go-slow armed robbers have been perfecting their strategy to relieve him of his Aso rock loot. Cicero didnt reform the Police to protect us and so when it came to the time for them to protect him dey couldnt because they didnt know how. Likewise OBJ, his pigeons will come home to roost.

So lets stop wasting time debating the obvious, acknowledge the obvious move forward from there.

That is what is called succeeding. Not the constant condemning I hear all over Nairaland.

Thank you for reading this far.

@Waxxy
Amin, Amin ase ! Iree a kari gbo gbo wa O !!!

@Femionasan
I tired for people O.
Ahn ahn this our Lagos of wonderful christmases at Badagry beach, of wonderful times spent at the Bar beach pre-kuramo, Of the apapa amusement park and the UTC's, Kingsway, etc. The Lagos of when Surulere, Ebute Metta and Festac were 'Highbrow Areas'.
The Lagos of playing football on the Lagos Badagry express road during christmas when every 'foreigner' has gone back to their homesteads.
This Lagos that welcomes everyone from everywhere.
Only for these same 'foreigners' to turn around and abuse the same Lagos that accomodates them.

In case the people abusing Lagos did not read the article well, Lagos never used to be like it is today. Lagos used to be safer.
We welcomed all strangers, we did not kill them in religious fracases, we did not bomb or kidnap them, we did not kill them and eat them, We did not chase them away because they were 'Ibo or Hausa' and wanted to buy all our land and properties. We welcomed THEM!!!!
Then they come and abuse the Lagos THEY helped make. Na wa O!

Maybe na because we no dey let them queue up for hours dey apply for visa before them enter Eko'ile  grin.

Deal with it peeps. You have a choice not to come to Lagos.!!!! If every foreigner and alien left Lagos I am sure we go fit rearrange the place better. But we are not XENOPHOBIC.
To make things worse, during the census everybody that was not a Lagosian went 'home' to their respective towns and villages (oh what bliss Lagos experienced those few days) making it impossible to access the correct amount of people to use for PLANNING infrastructure and services in Lagos.

Na wa. Like I have said before- Enjoy the piece and identify the points for change. Then do something about it.
