The ijaw ethnic group is primarily known to land grabbers whose origins date back to being sea pirates & boat dwellers from Sierra Leone & Gabon. I'm from Buguma Asari Toru LGA Kalabari-Ijaw, and we are full blooded Ijaw. Boma that couldn't speak his dialect of Ijaw and have never stepped foot in Kalabari land.
Kalabari is a subgroup of Ijaw like the way Ijebu is a subgroup of Yoruba.
