Education / Corps Members To Receive N33,000 As Allowance. Are You Happy? by IkanJoee(m): 10:27am On Jan 31, 2020
Ibrahim announced this during a working visit to the NYSC secretariat in Bauchi, according to a statement the body issued on Wednesday morning via Facebook.

He said the increase is in line with the new minimum wage approved by the federal government.

Ibrahim said provisions for the new allowance have been made in the 2020 budget and “payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities”.

In September, Ibrahim had hinted that the monthly allowance of corps members would be increased “immediately the federal government starts the payment of the new minimum wage”.

“Your monthly allowance would be increased immediately the Federal Government starts the payment of the new minimum wage to all public servants nationwide,” he said in an address delivered at the NYSC orientation camp in Iyana-Ipaja.

This is great news sha, but las las the 33k go finish na

Neither. Except the house will be tenanted and become an asset or the car will be used for transportation aka Uber, Taxify etc.

If you have that kind of money, think of investment that can generate healthy and steady cash flow. At the end of the day, the business will build you a house, buy you a car and still be there to take care of your needs aside making you your own boss.

great idea

I personally see a car as a liability and a house as an investment, A house would help me get myself together. but the moment you drive a new car, its value basically halves. Plus a car has ongoing maintenance costs that you need to factor in.

Also a car would ease so much stress, save transportation and help boost my morale a little. wink

SO Guys, what do you think, A car or a house. undecided

Education / Which Nigerian Slang Do You Use The Most ? by IkanJoee(m): 5:19pm On Jan 22, 2020
Most Nigerian slangs are actually Yoruba slangs, this is because most slangs stem from pidgin English, a language which is a cross between local dialects and English. It can also be referred to as broken English. Nigerian words and phrases are unique, however, some become popular trends used by people from different parts of West Africa as some cultures are similar. Nigerian bad words are also part and parcel of these popular slangs, as some are often used are insults. New slang words emerge every day with internet slangs being the category of words that spread like wildfire.

Top 4 of my favorite slangs are
1.Oya
2.Abeg
3.Fashi
4.Nawa
Oya

‘Oya’ is one Nigerian slang that has no definite meaning, however, it is used in a given context which could mean come, let’s go, start or basically just an endearment to begin something or respond. It is commonly used across the nation and in some neighbouring countries too. Oya is a slang born from pidgin English and one that will never leave the tongues of Nigerians.

Abeg

Abeg is a pidgin English for ‘I beg’. If you know a Nigerian, you would have heard this particular slang over and over again. Abeg is a plea and is simply means ‘please’. Just like English words or any other language the tone in which the word is said can alter the meaning. ‘Abeg’ can be a sincere plea, a sarcastic remark or a stern plea. Whichever one it is, “abeg” remains what it is.

Fashi

When someone tells you to fashi something, it means you should ignore. The slang became popular sometime around 2008/2009 and has stuck. The use of this slang is not as common as it used to be, however, it is catchy, and everyone understands it.

Nawa

‘Nawa’ is just like ‘Abeg’, the only difference is ‘Nawa’ is an exclamation. It is just like sighing but in words. This slang is used every day because, in Nigeria, there is always something to exclaim about. From the hardships to the comedy, trends, business social life, surprising things happen every day. The kinds of things that will make you say “nawa oh!”

But my most used has to be MAD OH!!!!! as in that thing is mad oh grin

you can add yours in the comments..
Education / How To Write The Best Literature Review by IkanJoee(m): 4:28pm On Jan 22, 2020
The aim of a Literature review is to show your reader (your tutor) that you have read, and have a good grasp of, the main published work concerning a particular topic or question in your field.

This work may be in any format, including online sources. It may be a separate assignment, or one of the introductory sections of a report, dissertation or thesis. In the latter cases in particular, the review will be guided by your research objective or by the issue or thesis you are arguing and will provide the framework for your further work.

It is very important to note that your review should not be simply a description of what others have published in the form of a set of summaries, but should take the form of a CRITICAL DISCUSSION, showing insight and an awareness of differing arguments, theories and approaches. It should be a synthesis and analysis of the relevant published work, linked at all times to your own purpose and rationale.

The literature review should:

1. Compare and contrast different authors’ views on an issue

2. Group authors who draw similar conclusions

3. Criticise aspects of methodology

4. Note areas in which authors are in disagreement

5. Highlight exemplary studies

6. Highlight gaps in research

7. Show how your study relates to previous studies

8. Show how your study relates to the literature in general

9. Conclude by summarizing what the literature says.

I hope i have been able to give you few tips on how to write a literature review, but if you still need help with your Projects, review, any chapter, do contact Modish Project on facebook, they are the only trust worthy site that handles project writing in Nigeria.

Education / How To Pick A Good Research Topic For Your Final Year Project by IkanJoee(m): 4:57pm On Jan 21, 2020
When it comes to research topics, the task students often find most difficult is finding a good topic to conduct research on.

I understand that not all research topics are good research topics but a good research topic must be composed of the following important factors.

Firstly, a good research topic must be on something you are interested in working on as your interest in the research will help you see it to completion. It is often recommended that you pick a topic that you are interested in – “a topic that speaks to you”.

You can as well check Modish projects, they have a database that offers an array of project topics for you to choose from, all you have to do is scroll through their database until you find a research topic that you are interested in.

The second thing that you will want to consider when you are selecting a project is the amount of relevant materials available for your research because trying to write a research project on a topic that does not have any relevant material on it is extremely hard. I would keep recommending Modish projects, their project topics come with material guides which can be made available to you for a small fee. Material guides come with all the information that you require to complete your research projects.

The third and final issue you will have to take into consideration when selecting a research project is the guideline of your supervisor. For instance, if your supervisor needs you to research a project on housing then there is no need browsing through a list of topics on health. This need is also met at modish projects, research topics have been sorted into different departments in order to make it easy for you to find a suitable research topic.

So, now you know, hit them up on Facebook - Modish Project and Twitter - ModishProject1, i heard the were even doing giveaways on their pages.

Education / The Impact Of Crime Wave In The National Economy In Nigeria. Modish Project by IkanJoee(m): 4:29pm On Jan 21, 2020
THE IMPACT OF CRIME WAVE IN THE NATIONAL ECONOMY IN NIGERIA.

INTRODUCTION

The situation cannot be tolerated in which our country continues to be engulfed by the crime wave, which includes murder, crimes against women and children child trafficking, drug trafficking, armed robbery, fraud and the. We must take the war to the criminals and no longer allow the situation in which we are mere sitting ducks of those in our society who, for whatever reason, are bent to engage in criminal and anti-social activities. Instructions have therefore already gone out to the minister of safety and security, the National Commissioner of the Police Service and the Security Organs as a whole to take all necessary measures to bring down the levels of crime. (President N. R. Mandela, 17 Feb. 1995 Cape Town). Part of the response to the President’s speech was the development of the SAPS 1995 ‘Community Safety Plan’, a package of short-term policing measures aimed at tackling the priority of crimes in the country. In May 1995, an inter-departmental strategy team, composed largely of civilian officials, began the process of drafting a long-term crime prevention strategy, which would become known as the National Crime Prevention Strategy (NCPS). The intention was that the long-term strategy would tackle the root causes of crime, in parallel to the police’s community safety plan, which would deliver more effective responses to crimes, which had already been committed or planned. This bifurcation is essential to an understanding of the shift in government crime prevention policy in the five years since the NCPS was adopted. At that time, the tough, crime combating approach was contained in the community safety plan (and later the various police plans), and the planning and implementation processes for those were entirely cabinet has asked us to design the process which will eventually culminate in a comprehensive and holistic National Crime Prevention Strategy. The NCPS, which eventually emerges should be owned by the broadcast possible cross-section of South Africa’s population, and should go beyond a mere police response to crime. In considering the process, which should be followed, this committee should bear in mind the complexity of the causes of crime and therefore pay proper attention to political, social and economic causes and manifestations of crime. If this committee succeeds with its task, the NCPS could result in answers to the question. What is crime prevention all about? It could result in a recognized and coordinated government response to crime, and in a greater role for civil society and communities in the prevention of crime. (Mufamadi, May, 1995).

Education / The Impact Of Computer To Modern Banking In Nigeria A Case Study Of First Bank. by IkanJoee(m): 4:02pm On Jan 21, 2020
CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

1.1 GENERAL OVERVIEW

In advanced economies, technology has played a key role since 1960’s. The role of computer in financial world and other spheres of life cannot be over-emphasized or, be over-looked and this has made it inevitable as the whole world has been turned into a global village. But in developing countries on the other hand, technology has relatively been poorly deployed in customer services.

Nevertheless, bank even in the strategic role of technology driven services, played in the efficient and cost effective service delivery. Investments in innovative banking technology worldwide have therefore grown exponentially in past decade.

In Nigeria, deregulation of the banking industry in 1986 saw banks deploying technology as the chief competitive weapon to achieve significant market shares in the crowded banking industries (Aduba, 1997). This brings a good decision on the other hand leads to effective performance of managerial functions which should in turn lead to the attainment of the organization’s goal. The vital ingredients for effective information apart from accuracy must also include uniformity, timeliness, reliability, clearness and must be promptly transmitted to the recipient and same time must be relevant to the area of specification.

Therefore, this presentation reviews the enabling environment for technology driven bank services in making effective planning, organization and implementation of the policies of the organization. Introduction of computer networks similarly created a new banking culture that granted customer flexibility in services delivery through wider choice of transaction outlet give bank’s networks of branches.

Electronic banking system was an innovation into the banking industry. It was introduces to ease the problem of;

Casting delay in transaction
Clearing
Transfer of fund
Accuracy in information from one location to the other

It can be seen that before the introduction of computer in the banking industry, a lot of problems were faced in processing transaction in various sections of the bank, but with computerization, all these problems have been reduced or eased off. The system has been embraced worldwide because it is easier and convenient for both the sender and receiver. This has made banks like Zenith Bank, Intercontinental Bank, Diamond Bank joined suit with First Bank Nigeria Plc in giving Western Union Money Transfer services to people within Nigeria.

Computerization or electronic banking has even helped in introducing electronic cards known as pay cards (Credit and Debit Cards). This was introduced to avoid the risk of carrying cash around. This electronic card is loaded with any amount in alternative to physical cash with ease. The electronic pay card has gone a long way in its establishment because people now prefer it to holding physical cash. Infact computer has come to stay and has become a vital part in our society because it has the capacity of extending men’s power to perform mental tasks and provide imagination services.

This is an accounting topic, to get the full material and other accounting topics, contact Modish Project on Facebook, or ModishProject1 on twitter.

As a student, they helped me alot. No wonder, they are Africa's no1 project writing website.
Education / Problems Educating The Physically Challenged Children In Nigeria by IkanJoee(m): 3:40pm On Jan 21, 2020
CHAPTER ONE

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The handicapped children are gifted children who have the ability to be educated irrespective of their disabilities, like the deaf, the blind, the dumb, lame etc. there is a need to redirect national interest, support and understanding for the plight of the disabled away from the traditional attitude of seeing them as qualified only for aims.

A situation where handicapped persons, expect those who could be taken care of by their families are relegated to relyn on public emotions expressed in the form of alms, does not augur well for our sense of social responsibility. Yunusa (1993) believes that physical handicapped does not mean they cannot contribute their quota to various facets of national development. Therefore, the handicapped students in Edo State posses the talents and all the aggregate of learning just like their counterparts at school. Education which is a life process must be provided for every individual, the physically handicapped inclusive. The term ‘handicap’ can be viewed in many ways mainly psychological and maladjustment.

WHO IS A HANDICAPPED CHILD?

A handicapped child is a child that lacks some things that made him/her incapable of living like other children, it could be the hands, legs, eyes, ears, etc in reverie day life, the term handicap is often used to signify a physical defect, limb paralysis, partial or total blindness etc. all these features renders the child incapable of living in quite the same ways as the normally endowed.

The term handicapped when used in a wider sense include intellectual disabilities and disadvantages, which are to cause learning hardship. In the light of the above discussion, the study will look into various hardship likely to be faced by the handicapped child I school., previous researchers have revealed that Behaviour are judged in terms of the societal existing standard therefore the ability of the handicapped can be under estimated by their teachers because already they are termed “special children”. Many assume that they cannot perform as well as the naturally endowed students.

This study will examine the various problems facing the education of the handicap ones.
